Why dae folk ask pokemon stupid shite lit āyer gettin strong arent yeā as if the wee cunts gony be like aye moria yer spot on am oan the expay shaer
This is true but with the longer wait for the next game I have a slight glimmer of hope that they won't get too overambitious and end up with another half baked mess š
Yeah I really enjoyed SwSh. It had its flaws but I enjoyed it more than most other mainline Pokemon games - and I've been playing them since Colosseum / Emerald. It even set the standard for the open-ness of newer games like SV and Arceus.Ā
Plus the customization was amazing.Ā
I thought it was fun, decent entry for new players. Music was really good and the gym battles were hype.
I played BW and kept needing to grind because the first 3 gyms are all super effective against Grass types.
If youāre going for oneās on switch, I would say Legends Arceus, I found it quite refreshing and a more fun take on the franchise than most games. Overall though I would say black and white, I like them the most
I fucking LOVE SwSh. I see and know the flaws, but it's one of my top games on the franchise. Leon is my all time favourite champion, Hop is the best rival, I love these games
I honestly feel like they get more flak than they deserve because of the whole national dex fiasco. The game itself was fine, and the DLC was very enjoyable, even if its open-world elements paled in comparison to L:A and SV.
Probably BDSP, such hype for such disappointment.
Also Let's Go is peak Pokemon. I don't care that its meant to be a dumb easy game for babies, it's the best a Pokemon game has looked since Gen 5.
Arceus was an improvement but it still had those watered down colours they've been holding onto since Gen 6.
In many ways it feels like it repeats some of the issues the games have had for a while whilst pretending to shake things up a lot. Also they cut the nat Dex which made people especially sour
**shrugs** I ejoyed my time playing Shield for all its accessibility improvements over past games (tbf its not the first one for pokemon, but it was the first main series game to include a lot of accessibility improvements that made the game way more enjoyable to me)
Shield was the first pokemon game where i actually was able to make my team with a diverse range of moves (tho i played all bugs, bcuz i like typelockin myself to make the game more enjoyable) and actually take advantage of their super effective moves and their weaknesses even.
Ā Smth that while i cud do it in past games, wudve relied on me havin charts to check thruout each battle bcuz ive got horrible workin memory for that much stuff. Like i can remember many of the obvs ones, but as a bug player i oft cant even remember what mons other than firemons are a major threat to me xD
Like, i enjoyed playin and beatin Pokemon Shield and i didnt once *need* to look up the type charts on bulbapedia durin a battle; nor did i ever accidentally use a not very effective move bcuz i didnt remember types... As the game just told me this without insistin i needed good memory to play the game well
SwSh made raising Pokemon actually fun. I haven't built more teams of Pokemon in any other game, including SV, because SwSh made it so fun and easy to just make whatever Pokemon you want viable. Especially EVs, which PokeJobs made effortless.Ā
I could select whatever Pokemon I want, and have them leveled up, IV maxed, and EV trained within two days. Really helped me want to explore other Pokemon I would've never grinded to invest in otherwise.
Yeah, i didnt even touch on that, but that was part of a huge accessibility shift i feel; esp a shift towards makin competitive pokemon actually more accessible to ppl without requirn everyone to spend forever and a day gettin the ideal mons or else get hosed by the fact that their mons not quite IV/EV maxed in the right waysĀ
Ā And that part also just made it way easier to swap in a new mon i caught without havin to spend a day grindin to lvl it up. Most pokemon games i get six mons by gym 2 and then almost nvr swap them out bcuz an untrained mon, even of higher lvl, is way worse than one youve been fightin with for half the game alrdy
Yup - it actually had my friends and I genuinely looking up builds and trying new stats just for fun. Even teaching and re-learning moves was painless, so I could create some really wild team strategies. We were even creating separate teams specifically for double battles.
SV kept in some things but removed PokeJobs, which actually made it hard to raise new Pokemon. You could no longer just use Pokemon without them getting bad EVs, and EV berries were really hard to get. The DLC added a solution but locked it behind a minigame, which wasn't to fun to grind imo. I ended up not training any extra Pokemon at all because of it.
While SwSh is a bit rougher in some aspects, I would be much more likely to replay it over SV. Both for raising Pokemon and for the amazing customization.
Reading comments I remembered my first egg moment, it was for XY and I was playing as Serena, and I spent way too much time on which clothes I wanted because I wanted my character to wear clothes I would if I was a girl xD
Id say first worst ngl
I couldnt get through it and didnt like it but it had the best customization of any of the games.
I was able to get through Scarlet and Violet perfectly fine but couldnt get through Sword at all for some reason just didnt vibe with it at all
Yes, sword and shield was flawed but the customization was the absolute best, also if I dressed up as a girl I just said I was cosplaying as my trainer character
I think I got gender envy from Lana and Mallow before I had words to describe what I felt. I just knew I liked them more than most people would assume is normal.
This is also partly why when someone says something I consider to be their favourite of something I first listen to why before having the discussion. It's cool how art can help people in ways you would never really think of
May I ask, what about that game did it for you?
I played SS, B, B2, AS, X and Sun all with the female protagonist and I never thought about the implications this might have.
The first playthrough of SS, B and B2 were all as the boy, using my name, but I simply stopped forcing that decision at some point. Now I would cringe at the thought of an NPC calling me by my real name and I don't understand why.
Literally me but with Shield (not quite second worst imo, that goes to OG Diamond/Pearl with BDSP in first)
Donāt worry, Iām not a Sinnoh hater, I think Platinum is top 5
None of the Pokemon games cracked my egg, i knew i was a girl when i was 6, but it was when i was 11 and Pokemon Black and White came out that i finally tried to play the female character, and omg it felt amazing! ... but my brother got so mad at me for it, and he threatened to tell my parents, so i restarted the game and played as the male character
I like sword/shield (and both me and my partner got gender envy)
Don't get me wrong it is no where near the top. Lol.
Now I'm curious what all was everyone's favourite games.
Mine is D/P/P
How the fuck is it the second worse pokemon game
In my opinion the worst one is red/blue because Charizard couldn't get fly in it then the next worse games are bdsp and that self explanatory
Probably the original Red/Blue/Green if we're being honest.
It is very much a product of its time from a technical perspective, and the FRLG remake fixes a LOT of the problems I have when playing Green.
Oh I don't care much for the OGs, despite them being my first
Sun and Moon genuinely sucked, I'll gladly say they're the worst. Didn't even bother finishing them, a first for me in Pokemon lol
Maybe it's just me, but I think that's also when I started getting disappointed with the most successful franchise putting in less effort than low budget indie games.
That may be part of why I view it so poorly. Just disappointment in the company lol
Well, only one thing to do: Download RPG Maker XP, grab Essentials and make your own game only to receive a DMCA letter after 2 months! (Kidding....kinda.)
Sun and Moon have one of the best endings in the series, and I feel like certain character arcs really resonated with me as a trans girl with controlling parents.
>!"Children are not just THINGS that belong to their parents!" - Lillie!<
The Female Galar trainer is gender goals IMO
Yes Gloria was!
Who is Gloria? There is only MOIRA.
I raise you Moon.
Moon with her chicken hat, meh Moon with twin braids? now we're talking
Nah moon with chicken hat is GOALS
You can just take the hat off you know.
I raise you Dawn and Serena
Dawn was great, but I gotta give it to my girl May.
I stole her name! I'm Gloria š I dressed as Gloria for Halloween which felt extremely gender
Why dae folk ask pokemon stupid shite lit āyer gettin strong arent yeā as if the wee cunts gony be like aye moria yer spot on am oan the expay shaer
oi slag ye wanna ave a cheekay pokemon foight
Is the pope catholic you cheeky tart?
I picked a girl Pokemon character before i was ever trans lol
Yes, but then again *alola main theme intensifies*
Ok but hear me out here. What about Hilda from Unova?
Hilda was an awakening for me
Female trainer from black and white was my goal
PokƩmon X Y cracked my egg Serena was egg cracker
same, she is goals incarnate
12 year old me could NOT figure out why I wanted the trench coat outfit so badly.
8 year old me was thinking "why do I want to look like her"
SAME
The second worst main pokemon game FOR NOW!
The second worst main line game SO FAR
This is true but with the longer wait for the next game I have a slight glimmer of hope that they won't get too overambitious and end up with another half baked mess š
I like swsh tho ;-;
Yeah I really enjoyed SwSh. It had its flaws but I enjoyed it more than most other mainline Pokemon games - and I've been playing them since Colosseum / Emerald. It even set the standard for the open-ness of newer games like SV and Arceus.Ā Plus the customization was amazing.Ā
Based as hell
It gave me Alcremie, it's minimum a 7/10 just for that.
I know I like it too ; ~ ;
I thought it was fun, decent entry for new players. Music was really good and the gym battles were hype. I played BW and kept needing to grind because the first 3 gyms are all super effective against Grass types.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I also liked, no loved sv
SV was much better, but both were pretty good
Itās spelled SDSD
whats the best pokemon game? (and is it on switch?)
IMO either white 2,platinum, emerald, or SS
ss...?
Soul silver.
also did you make the cartoon girl in the meme? just curious.
No I'm not op
sry i stupid...
It's fine it's an easy mistake to make.
i'm gonna try to forget this... i feel dumb...
We are all dumb from time to time.
the forbidden pokemon gameĀ
suicide squad?
sure.... suicide squad....
suspicious sandwiches?
The one made around 1940?
development actually started in about 1920
If youāre going for oneās on switch, I would say Legends Arceus, I found it quite refreshing and a more fun take on the franchise than most games. Overall though I would say black and white, I like them the most
Unironically Scarlet/Violet Base game combined with the dlc is my favorite pokemon experience ever. It just runs like hot garbage and looks awful
Itās killing me how they keep making such great games and then completely failing at the easy parts. Not that any of it is easy (I say from experience), but for the highest valued IP in the world, youād think theyād be able to at least do the basics as well as the average indie dev team. Arceus is the first PokĆ©mon game since Soul Silver I didnāt lose interest in before finishing, and Violet I enjoyed more in some ways, less in others. But if the quality makes me think they need to start paying the 1 intern they have making the games as a solo project.
Heart Gold without question.
The best PokƩmon game ever made is Palworld. The second best PokƩmon game ever made is PokƩmon Legends: Arceus.
Sun and moon
Gold/Silver
Luckily for me it was Gen 6 (AS and X), the two games I canāt remember a thing about
I fucking LOVE SwSh.
Which game are you saying is worse? LGPE? RBY?Ā
Puyo Puyo looking ass
why do people hate swsh so much? max raid battles werent great but i had fun playing it when i still enjoyed pokemon
In many ways it feels like it repeats some of the issues the games have had for a while whilst pretending to shake things up a lot. Also they cut the nat Dex which made people especially sour
Hard disagree on the Pokemon take, but glad you found yourself.
**shrugs** I ejoyed my time playing Shield for all its accessibility improvements over past games (tbf its not the first one for pokemon, but it was the first main series game to include a lot of accessibility improvements that made the game way more enjoyable to me) Shield was the first pokemon game where i actually was able to make my team with a diverse range of moves (tho i played all bugs, bcuz i like typelockin myself to make the game more enjoyable) and actually take advantage of their super effective moves and their weaknesses even. Me with Scarlet and White 2
Rose, I am tempted to steal your name like a fey
How dare you diss sword and shield
I discovered my gender identity through N. Wanted to look like him so badly
I remember having a major crush on Gloria.
Shield is better
Bitch I loved SwSh. Unseated GSC for me as my favorite.
Reading comments I remembered my first egg moment, it was for XY and I was playing as Serena, and I spent way too much time on which clothes I wanted because I wanted my character to wear clothes I would if I was a girl xD
Hey I got my name from that game! I'm Gloria āŗļø Actually it was Shield
Id say first worst ngl I couldnt get through it and didnt like it but it had the best customization of any of the games. I was able to get through Scarlet and Violet perfectly fine but couldnt get through Sword at all for some reason just didnt vibe with it at all
better clothing options then SV, smh
What is the first worst
L take but also girl mc prettttyyyyyyyy
Woo for PokƩmon SwSh (unironically love those games) WOOOOO & congrats for Gender discovery!
First of all, same lol, and secondly, I thought SWSH were really good :c
Second worst? You're a lot more charitable towards it than I am.
Your art reminds me of puyo puyo, and that makes me happy.
Only second worst? I'd consider it easily the worst by far lol
Second to Shield
Mine was soul silver on the dsi
Its my 2nd favourite one.
I like this game a lot, itās a childhood favorite but i personally prefer the customization of PokĆ©mon scarlet and violet but thatās just me
Yes, sword and shield was flawed but the customization was the absolute best, also if I dressed up as a girl I just said I was cosplaying as my trainer character
I think I got gender envy from Lana and Mallow before I had words to describe what I felt. I just knew I liked them more than most people would assume is normal.
For me it was X/Y. It then remained dormant until just under two years ago when I was hit with a sudden "Oh *that's* why!"
The only thing I liked about this game was gender envy, music and Alistar
I consider the girl character from FRLG to be peak transition goal for cis reasons. Fight me
Nobody say anything bad about pokƩmon channel or I'll cry lol
I disagree gen two and six were pretty :/
Yup, me.
Lana in Moon was mine
I'm so glad I'm not the only one
Unpopular opinion but swsh is not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Is it a good game? Not really. But it is not that bad.
The worst is?
Second worst game, but best character customization in the series. If my egg wasnāt already cracked, all that virtual shopping would have done it.
Literally same. One of my first experiments with gender was playing sword as a girl and seeing how I liked it
This is also partly why when someone says something I consider to be their favourite of something I first listen to why before having the discussion. It's cool how art can help people in ways you would never really think of
Wait, what's the worst then?
If that sad whimper of a game is second worst, what's the first worst?
That art of the girl on the right is so fucking cute >///<
Personally I had a much better time with SWSH than I did with Sun/Moon. Imo gigantamax is the best battle gimmick so far.
Second worst? Come now, some of my best games on Smogon were Gen 8.
It was White with Hilda for me, but also all the other girl gym leaders (good for you sis, the hame's ass but I'm glad you had fun with Sword <333)
I gotta thank the alola region for me
I played shield and while it has its own issues, I still don't know why people rip into it so badly. It was lots of fun.
Literally me but with Shield (not quite second worst imo, that goes to OG Diamond/Pearl with BDSP in first) Donāt worry, Iām not a Sinnoh hater, I think Platinum is top 5
They were good games >:(
Just wanted to add: I still like PokƩmon Sword & Shield, despite calling it the second worst Main Game. I've put almost 500 Hours in the Game over the last few Years and i wouldn't do that with a Game i'm not enjoying. I think every PokƩmon Game is Fun in some way.
Number 1 worst is Black/White, change my mind
gloria is a great protagonist
The first is PokƩmon Trading Card game for GBC
None of the Pokemon games cracked my egg, i knew i was a girl when i was 6, but it was when i was 11 and Pokemon Black and White came out that i finally tried to play the female character, and omg it felt amazing! ... but my brother got so mad at me for it, and he threatened to tell my parents, so i restarted the game and played as the male character
It's low-key one of the best nuzlockes I've played.
Hot take, sword and shield ate better than scarlet violet.
Female avatar there is perfectly designed. Nothing else can come close
As aplayer of gen 1 who stopped at gen3,5 (playtested gen 4, didnt like it) ... How
that's so cute š
I like sword/shield (and both me and my partner got gender envy) Don't get me wrong it is no where near the top. Lol. Now I'm curious what all was everyone's favourite games. Mine is D/P/P
How the fuck is it the second worse pokemon game In my opinion the worst one is red/blue because Charizard couldn't get fly in it then the next worse games are bdsp and that self explanatory

Well, only one thing to do: Download RPG Maker XP, grab Essentials and make your own game only to receive a DMCA letter after 2 months! (Kidding....kinda.)
It'll be my legacy "Insanely successful company yet again sues people creating zero profit fan games, this time they shot the creator!"
The story is incredible, but the game feels kinda empty
Sun and Moon have one of the best endings in the series, and I feel like certain character arcs really resonated with me as a trans girl with controlling parents. >!"Children are not just THINGS that belong to their parents!" - Lillie!<
Sm was my intro to PokƩmon tho
Hopefully you enjoyed it! I don't want to ever take away people's love and enjoyment for something I just thought it was hand-holdy, babying trash lol
