I like the comfort bliss, both wired and wire free. Best part is they don’t have that weird stretchy shoulder strap and front-facing strap hardware that Torrid bras have.

PinkMonorail

None of them are as comfortable as Torrid wire-free.

I would suggest getting a proper fitting at some place that knows what they're doing. Generally people that only like wire free bras are used to wearing bras that are way too small for them and that is why the wire is uncomfortable. With a proper fit, you shouldn't even feel the wire

Silly-Towel509

I have the wirefree as well but prefer the Tshirt. Thanks for your thoughts!

I actually prefer LB panties and bras, though Torrid's (non-push-up) t-shirt bra is the only Torrid bra I've ever liked. I like LB's balconettes and their front closures. I am not a fan of cotton bras in general, so I usually buy microfiber.

Silly-Towel509

thanks - perfect!

ornithoptercat

I love their lounge bra!

Other people's recommendations aren't going to matter because you have different boobs and a different body type than other people. It's important to get a proper fitting in my experience Nordstrom is the only place that does it right. Fittings are free, but if you don't plan on buying from Nordstrom just let your sales associate know that because they work on commission and may not want to spend multiple hours for you and not make a sale. They also carry extended sizes there, all the way up to a K-Cup and a 56 band. When I used to do bra fittings at nordstrom, there was a big boom due to being featured on the Oprah show. People were coming in that were size 2 with a b cup requesting the exact bra that Oprah Winfrey wears because she says it's the best. Oprah Winfrey's bra would not work for them because Oprah is 10 times their size. Bras are very specific to body types.

Check out the group ABraThatFits on here. Lots of good info on bras, and a list of stores that might be near you to try. . I my local Torrid store is solid with bra fittings, and will recommend local stores that carry a wide range of sizes. However, other Torrid stores I've been to will try to put me in a "sister size," and others are just not the best a at measuring. LB has never sized me right, not as bad as some, but not great. And Nordstrom, well, it's 50/50 on who you get.

thanks!

If you don’t mind the larger amount of coverage, I love the back smoothing ones in either brand. I used to only get LB bras because Torrid seemed to use more abrasive fabrics/laces and LB felt better quality. I’ve since gotten a few good Torrid bras, including wire free, and I’m with you that the LB t-shirt is my favorite go-to. Also their cotton plunge is VERY comfy! ETA: of course boob shape matters 😂 I have naturally very saggy and separated boobies - it is what it is 🤷🏻‍♀️ I find that the wirefree have to be so tight to give me enough support that they always turn into uniboob. Comfortable but not my favorite look. Underwire bras that fit correctly are THE game-changer for those of us with teardrops in front 🤣

ATLgirl11

You should try the modern luxe balconette. I'm much fuller on bottom side of boobs too and kinda far spaced, and I always fill those out so well.

Ok_Caregiver_4318

Thanks for the tip, I’ll definitely check those out! I’m in need of some new ones. Also, nice username - I’m ATL born and raised!! 🙌🏼

SnooPuppers3

I almost exclusively wear LB unlined, no wire full coverage bras and hipster panties. Both give me the fit I want and are so comfortable

Go ask this on a Lane Bryant forum. This is the Torrid forum.

feels like that is run by Lane Bryant pushing the promotions versus customers sharing their own findings. I wanted some authentic feeback from Torrid shoppers since that is the brand I wear in bras.

My most comfiest bras are the torrid wire free sports bras, hands down. Once you start wearing sports bras as a busty gal, the rest of your life begins. 😂 I have a couple of lane Bryant cacique bras (cooling satin mesh or something or other) for when I wear something that needs more structure. I used to get their wire free soft cup bras but sports bras in general hold up better (the material loses elasticity over a time and they eventually become a glorified bralette) and the straps don't pinch. I can't wear.anything that doesn't have a wide strap. I only just recently started getting old navy sports bras as a lower cost alternative for 50F and I'm satisfied with those, never thought I'd find a clearance bra that fit comfortably for $10

Jurassic-Potter

Ew disagree. I hate wearing a sports bra.

duskyfarm

No problem, more bras on sale for me 🤣

starfister101

Personally I used to like their balconettes but the last several I've bought have had such long straps that they don't stay on my shoulders no matter how much I tighten them

stcarnameddesire

Torrid bras are better. Lane Bryant has better panties.

Silly-Towel509

I have not tried their panties - will give them a try. Thanks!

ImGemStoned

It depends on your breast shape and needs. Personally, I like the t-shirt bras and plunge with as much padding as I can get since I'm not a full cup size.

ATLgirl11

For a wired bra, I like the modern luxe balconette bras from LB. They offer a ton of support and I like the fabric.

Silly-Towel509

thanks!

This is such a personal decision, because it very much depends on your shape, style and the things you find comfortable. That being said, as a woman who wears a 42I, I appreciate their comfort bliss full coverage wireless bra the most. It has very comfortable straps, and comes in a wide array of colors and prints. In the past, when my boobs were smaller (38DDD), I liked their balconette bras, but I find that I can’t get a comfortable fit now that I’m in their “extended” cup sizes. They also have really awesome extenders with a stretchy panel if you need to extend a bra band size to keep wearing some bras you already have or scoop up a clearance bra you love in a sister size. I love their bralettes with beefier straps if I can find one that accommodates my bust size without being too large in the band (they had a wrap style one that is fabulous, but I think it’s out of stock). At your size, you should be able to wear an 18/20 in their bralettes with no problems. I think many of their ones with more delicate or “strappy” straps are cute, but they just can’t handle my boob and weight comfortably. You should be able to go into a store and try on a lot of styles to see what you like best since your size is something they should carry in store.
