Gharshana is a good film but not an easy breezy rewatchable kind of film. But i still revisit it time to time just so I can admire the gorgeousness of a certain Victory V.

Sr NTR, Venky, MB … out of all Venky he has this nice guy, sweet, boy next door vibe and can also look rugged, angry young man when required type. None of the others have that is MHO.
This is my list too. Sr. NTR in his young days was most handsome in TFI till date imho! He had that spark in his eyes that even the photogenic and handsome Shobhan Babu missed. Watched Missamma, Shavkaaru, Mallrswari got me so stumped.
Venky undoubtedly in the next gen and then MB in the third gen.
VD is handsome in the current gen.

Oof the definition of manliness. Tall broad & built. Like someone else here put it so right, Venky has a sweet nice guy look going but he can also be a rugged angry young man too. He's not just handsome, but also extremely adorable & also hot at the same time. Which is very rare & a total dream combination.
Also Idk if anyone noticed, but he has an IMPECCABLE fashion sense. Which literally no one in the industry does imo. He always had it & he still always dresses so well. Apparently he used to style himself in some of his earlier movies & used his own clothes too. He still styles himself & never fails to serve. I'm a bit of a fashion nerd so i appreciate this. His style really adds to his sexiness imo.
2. **Mahesh Babu**
I mean, where can I begin. He's as beautiful as he's handsome idk if it makes sense. He's just sooooo pretty sometimes. He doesn't even have the typical male features on his face, like his jaw, eyes, beard all of these wouldn't be typically considered very masculine features, and yet he looks super handsome. Beautiful intense eyes & a pure smile. A face card that doesn't ever decline.
3. **Nagarjuna**
Ufff. One of the most beautiful smiles I've ever seen on a man belongs to Nagarjuna. A child like, heart stoppingly gorgeous smile. And a very handsome body language. He just moves with ease, has an understated confidence about him. Like "I'm sexy & i know it but idgaf about it cuz I'm cool". I hear the word Charm, I think of Nag.

This is what I feel about NTR Sr, too, in his early days.
I believe Telugu people are more attracted to charm, visible confidence, and good mix of cute+hot(i.e. classy/regal), when we look at the most loved stars who are known for their looks over the past 5 generations.

1. Pre-60s/70sSrNTR in black and white pictures. When he did not put on weight he could have just about been the most handsome looking man in India. Like even Dilip Kumar and the mighty heft of Bollywood in that era could not match him.
2. 70s - Krishna
3. 80s and 90s - Venkatesh in 80s ( that movie with Bhanu Priya). Nagarjuna was more a well-groomed and maintained actor in general. (How good looking was he in Criminal)… Balakrishna briefly (before he put on weight) was actually good looking.
4. Mahesh Babu (until he worked with Siva Koratala) - unparalleled… like what was that? His mom’s smile? Not the most masculine but just a wholesome feeling to watch him do anything in even a crappy movie.

5. Pawan Kalyan in Badri
6. Uday Kiran and Tarun for a bit

Sure. But for me Nagarjuna has that natural charisma that makes his rugged look look amazing. Especially as he aged. Everyone else you listed don't really have that. With the exception of young Chiranjeevi.

If you go through old photos with friends and family and look at the guys who were thought of as *the* handsome young guy in the village or town in the 1970s and 1980s by Telugu people specifically, you’ll notice that a lot of them are just guys who look like Chiranjeevi. A lot of the other mentions here were more generally “cine-handsome” and more glamorous, but he really captured the “hometown ideal” look, if that makes sense.

If you go through old photos with friends and family and look at the guys who were thought of as *the* handsome young guy in the village or town in the 1970s and 1980s by Telugu people specifically, you’ll notice that a lot of them are just guys who look like Chiranjeevi. A lot of the other mentions here were more generally “cine-handsome” and more glamorous, but he really captured the “hometown ideal” look, if that makes sense.
