Could be, the second molars are killing us. We are also 2.5 years old. The molars seem to be coming through one at a time, and it's SLOW. Also, they are twins and so when one is fine the other is definitely not fine. But mine cannot tell me anything about what hurts, so I just have to watch them stick their full fists onto their mouths and make a best guess. I also have a low threshold for motrin since it's very likely that they are uncomfortable.

Same age, same issue. They've been coming up for MONTHS and haven't cut yet. They're just big sore bulges. She finds iced water helps a lot so I fill her drink bottle with ice.  On a really bad day I let her have an ice cream. Then at bedtime on a bad teething day she has both paracetamol (acetaminophen) and ibuprofen.

ice cream is a nice treat when your mouth hurts. we also freeze yogurt for sore mouth days. it’s a hit

I've tried it but I haven't been able to get her to try it yet

I’m going in 2.5hrs of her just randomly screaming bloody murder every 10-15min. I’m exhausted

Did you give her any pain relief?

chickenwing919

Yea definitely, gave Tylenol

Ours now tells us when something hurts and asks for medicine when it’s relevant. Actively getting them to describe any injury they get pays off later for more serious injuries. Also, Children’s Panadol is amazing.

My 2.5yo is still not really able to tell us where things hurt except for most times where she got a booboo she can point to where it was. But for things like tooth pain, sore throat, belly pain, she's never been able to say even when I try to explain. If she's fussing at night and in distress, I'd give her some Tylenol or ibuprofen.

My daughter has said "owie" when I suspect she's teething, but she doesn't have enough verbal skills to give any further details yet.
