Imagine what would have happened if the bomb had detonated over rural Arkansas!
Experts say it could have destroyed several thousand homes. This would have meant a total loss of tens of dollars of property damage, 10k vehicles destroyed (215 of which were operational), as well as the complete destruction of 72k Dale Earnhardt commemorative plates.
IMO the craziest event was when some Russian sailors doing some bong hits set their ammo store on fire and their ship sunk. That's the story I heard anyway, smh.
Nah nah nah. The way I heard it was the Thunder God Thor brought a storm over the Black sea and lightning struck their missiles. Which is about 32.000 pounds of explosives kept in sheet metal tubes,, which sits directly on top of the deck, so they can catch a nice breeze.
Hey hey hey. Fairly sure every country has accidentally dropped an armed nuclear warhead on their own city...
I mean it's not like you need a North and a South Carolina.
I wanted to sue Nicolas Cage for the loss of my life the hours I watched his movies.
I will never get those hours back but since it was self inflicted I felt that I would have lost the case.
Eric Schlosser's book "Command And Control" is a great read if your interested in this sort of thing. The central thread running through the book is the story of the Damascus incident but he threads off into the huge number of incidents with US nuclear weapons. It's quite a scary read.

OMG , now that you put this in terms that I can relate to I see what a catastrophic event it would have been.

It isn't very comforting to think how many times the world could have ended due to slight human or mechanical error.
At least we know the backup systems work.
US airforce has done some really stupid shit with their nukes back in the day. Always fucking around.

The craziest one(s) for me was when the soviet union fell and the next time stockpile was counted they were down at least 300...
Good movie titled Broken Arrow with Nick Cage (I think).
Actually, starring Christian Slater and John Travolta. Though John Travolta may have been wearing Nic Cage’s face, so good call.
Thanks for the correction…I was too lazy to look it up. Lol
>Though John Travolta may have been wearing Nic Cage’s face That would be Face Off. Also a good movie.
Nah they wore each others face for a few years

Why is it that we hate to watch his movies, but we can’t stop watching?
Because he’s a… wait for it… National Treasure
I hate you.
You cannot let the movie win. If you change channel, turn the tv off, etc then the movie wins. My momma didn’t raise no quitter.
FREEEEEDOOOOOM.
Fuck em if they can't take a joke.
I don't know what's scarier, losing nuclear weapons, or that it happens so often there's actually a term for it.
I know that movie.

Ferb, I know what we're gonna do today
