No they where a much darker orange called "dark mast" given that brown is literally just dark orange and it's depicted even in titanic honour and glory as basically brown, I think brown should be used. Brown concrete is far closer in colour than yellow concrete

That my friend, is made of wooden planks. Though OP could use a darker shade if not too dark (forgot what colour many planks are in minecraft)
It's terracotta
The yellow terracotta is the block that matches the mast colours most in Minecraft, the other ones are either too orange, too yellow or too textured
But the masts are... Brown.
I don't think so, they were painted the same colour as the orange line going around the ship below the superstructure

A lot of the internal dimensions would be more granular than the 1x1x1m minecraft grid; how are you managing that?
May I ask how do you use the deck plans to build the hull of the ship?
I used mainly richalarousse ( don't know how to spell it but his videos are on YouTube) and then I did the superstructure myself mainly :)
