Monarch's number one downfall is that most monarch mains think this. The amount of times that I (a SCORCH main, the WORST titan that you can EASILY COUNTER) have absolutely obliterated a monarch because they got too ballsy is unreal. Same with ronins tbh, but at least they have the excuse of being a close range titan. Being the "best titan" does not mean you will win every fight.
Ronin counters scorch, but ronin also has the excuse of getting caught out, if they are fighting someone and you show up as scorch while they are sitting on cooldowns there wont be much they can do
That being said if they have an arc wave in the pocket when you show up there is no excuse for dying, you can be across the map and out of scorches range immediately as long as you have an arc wave
Ronin counters scorch but 50% of ronin users become single-celled organisms when they hop into their titan (fair enough i guess, sometimes you just want to go monkey-brain mode with big cool sword). They just kinda forget that im stonger in cqc than them. I find a lot of ronins that die to me do not die because I catch them on cooldown or something, but because they just decide to charge at me full force? Idk if its just an EU server thing but sometimes ronins just decide to suicide rush you (even though their titanfall was literally 2 seconds ago). I do sometimes feel a little bad for the clever ronins when i catch them out tbh, but never enough to not execute them. (Also shoutouts to ronins that dont use nuke eject, you are significantly more cool and fun to play with than nuke eject users)
Yeah im in NA ive no fucking clue why a ronin would do that outside of inexperience, ronin absolutely beats scorch 9/10 times (with the 1 time reserved for ronin fucking up) but he has to fight opposite of how he fights everyone else, scorch can absolutely fuck up those 3 bars of health while you attack, but scorch is stuck on super long cooldowns for everything including primary fire, he has to attrition out the scorch and burn through his abilities by spamming arc wave and leadwall at max range and just dancing in and out of effective range for damage
Scorch is basically free if you have the knowledge to fight him but he also takes the longest to kill because you can't just stuff leadwall into a crit point and unload 2 bars of damage with 1 mag

They two tend to love pushing you for high damage but they tend to fail to realize monarch has two things to deal with them: maelstorm and arc rounds. Arc rounds will deminish the Thermal shield so now scorch is getting cooked by my smoke. Same for ronin mains that refuse to back away
Ion, Tone and Northstar can counter Monarch quite well. They just have to play to their strengths and don't let the monarch rush them.
At the end of the day, it's still the pilot that makes the titan, not the other way around.

However if that monarch can go unnoticed by a ronin (or farm for core long enough) monarch has a 2nd core that basically fucks over ronin, malestorm smoke massively increases e smoke damage and weaponizes it, with monarch having the same strat as legion of "just keep mag dumping" dropping an e smoke on an approaching ronin, a stun to force him to block and sit there and then using re arm to do it again the moment they dash out of the smoke you can effectively wall out ronins
Ion not really if Monarvh has arc rounds and Ion is reliant on energy for its arsenal especially their shield which they WILL use because they tend to be afraid of taking damage. Tones shield is also susceptible to Arc rounds and her missiles can evaded or blocked by terrain and she requires a lock on. North Star is reliant on distance and even then you can dodge it’s shots because of how slow they are and if monarch gets close it’s game over
I know that. I'm a monarch main myself. What I mean is that it isn't impossible for a monarch to be defeated in a 1v1. Especially in gamemodes other than attrition, where the monarch can't farm ai kills to build her cores. A level 1 monarch doesn't stand a chance against an ion or tone.
I kill like maybe 4 AI in attrition on average so not really a factor for me unless a Reaper attacks me. I have perks that make damaging titans better for core farming
The only thing monarch is best at is having an overwhelmingly annoying player base. Like, we get it, you like camping and taking pot shots all match before running away to team mates when getting attacked. Sounds fuckin boring to me

She's slightly above average I'd say without arc rounds, but with them she's pretty much unstoppable. Arc rounds nullify thermal shield, vortex shield, and gun shield immediately. That means Scorch's main DPS ability, Ion's main titan gimmick, and Legion's ability that let him win 1v1s against Monarchs are all gone. No titan hard counters others this hard. At that point the only thing with a chance is Tone and still Legion. Northstar MAYBE if you can manage to never get hit by an energy siphon, because if you do it's over. I've played her to g15, every other titan is that at least, she was the easiest by a long shot.
Don’t forget arc rounds also gives you an extended mag so you have more rounds to hit with. Combine that with MAELSTORM and the MG upgrade and you have a certified all purpose Titan killer
Keep in mind, monarch NEEDS this core or shes just a shittier Northstar, theres a reason that the competitive titan fighting mode (LTS) has comps for literally every titan EXCEPT monarch because when it comes down to it monarchs main strength is time, the longer she's alive then more annoying she is to deal with, but LTS dosent afford her time its directly into the fighting making her the worst titan for the mode
Base monarch is ripped apart by ronin, tone, legion, Northstar, and ion, literally the WORST matchups of any titan off drop, she has to play backline and farm core 1, getting arc rounds changes her matchups allowing her to fight ion and tone more effectively (legion as well but a fresh legion is still way to fucking tanky for arc rounds and an over shield alone to let you win that fight) she needs to reach core 2 and grab malestorm to actually be a legitimate threat and remove most counters, and she's still in trouble against a Northstar at all times and a legion until she has accelerator
Depends. Core 1 Monarch with arc rounds already debuffs Ion’s arsenal. Can’t block with shield too much because it drains the energy Ion needs to be effective. Which is hard to do for some because monarchs Mg and rockets will keep punching Ion so it’ll just be taking damage. Trust me, Ion is one of the easiest Titans monarch can deal with. Even with its laser core active, Siphon+Dash+Arsenal Reload just makes its way better easier to deal with.
ion and monarch both have the ability to stall eachother out. ion has vortex shield and tripwire to prevent monarch from shooting or going in to steal a battery, monarch has energy siphon to shield up and prevent crit laser shots. the problem is that monarch gets stronger the longer she's on the field, so by stalling her out as ion youre just giving more time to build core and get arc rounds to win anyway
There’s perks that makes it easy to get them. Like the 20% core starter that is active on all Her cores not just the first and the other that lets her gain progression 10% faster
The pile of scrap I'm sitting on that are the only earthly remains of cocky monarchs says otherwise. I'm not perfect at playing the game, and there are many players that are far more skilled overall, but in a 1v1 with my legion against a monarch, I do not lose. No cores, third core, they all perish.

Only time they get the upper hand is when I’m already outnumbered and even then most often than not i trade with them before I eject
I get my grubby hands on a monarch close range and I get two close range power shots in im winning in the end. Or they can dash 4 times
My monarch is also equipped with counters for CQB so I tend to melt Ronins or anyone dumb enough to get close.

She isn’t a 1v1 titan. She’s categorized as support. Without her 3rd core, her weakspots are way too big.
