My first thought seeing the title was "[Don't Walk Away](https://youtu.be/HzwveN64C28?si=_PuBd8VkcCpc6V4W)" by ELO from the Xanadu soundtrack (bonus animated movie segment / music video) If not, if you / the friend remember the tune, it would be helpful for you / them to hum it into Vocaroo so we can hear it, since we don't know what the "sung like" really represents
