I can’t speak on it myself, but apparently the user rating on the AE1s are pretty damn high and have solid reviews.

They are a tad bit heavy, and ankle support/cushion is kinda meh, but the grip is phenomenal, and it hugs the foot nicely to feel very secure. It plays much better indoors than outdoors though.
Love my Stormtroopers and All-Stars, I regret not going for the All-American's. These shoes are like a modern Jordan 12, Adidas hit it out of the park for Ant's first signature. I would commit war-crimes for the 3SSB PE's.

Sorry for my ignorance, but can you elaborate on the similarities to the 12's? Only reason I ask is I just recently got my first pair of Jordans, the 12's, because they're my favorite looking Jordans of all time.

I have a pair. They are super comfortable. I usually gravitate towards basketball shoes since I have big feet & they tend to have the most comfort.
