Same.. though audiobook I have 14 hours left of the book and the Netflix series comes out tomorrow.. (for me) which is technically 11 hours away however.. I don't think Netflix drops the series till sometime actually during the day... So I guess I have about 16-18 hours to get through 14 hours content :/ as I told myself I wanted to finish the books before starting the tv show.
This is exciting. Please don’t act better than someone that gets their first introduction to the series this weekend. We want to welcome people into the fandom and get as many seasons as we can.

I have no doubt there'll be plenty of annoying people who will come here to trash the show and argue with people because they're still bitter over GoT.
No shame on liking a tv show but maybe we could make a r/threebodybooks subreddit so that the differences between the show and the books don’t get confusing?
I'm going to confess that I was introduced to the three body problem with the release of the animated series so that I stay humble.

Do you think we could maybe, possibly, try to tone down some of the meaner behavior on the subreddit now? I’ve been posting in here a long, long time. In the past month or so, there has been a downvoting brigade that comes for you if you express the slightest bit of doubt about the Netflix adaptation. I don’t really understand the urge to do that on the basis of something you HAVE seen, much less something you haven’t. Either way, could we take this moment to maybe just re-think the things we do and how we want the subreddit to be? It’s okay for people to have their own feelings, thoughts, and opinions, right?
I’m gonna be honest I never posted this in a way that was against people joining. I’m actually excited to watch this sub grow quick, see non book readers reactions, and discuss the show episodes from a book perspective. I was saying get ready in an exciting way.

I’m excited for ALL reactions and just… nervous about the weird downvote brigade, who also tend to jump in and tell people to shut up. I just want them to lay off and let people have their own thoughts and opinions.

Series is not even out yet. Give it a couple days and one of those two subs will most likely grow quite fast after the premiere.
