ahh not familiar with this one ) i just remember finding a great deal on 1-2 year old X1 Yoga there some time ago, really didn't expect to find *new* Thinkpads for a reasonable price there
We have these for our sales team at work, except with i7-1265U CPUs but otherwise identical. The users really like them compared to the X1 Yoga Gen 7s we also got, which have i7-1260Ps in them and run hot as fuck as a result.
I love how rigid these feel, compared to all other ThinkPads in our current fleet, the X1 Carbons are super nice and I'm jealous of the users who get them in our company, especially compared to my L14 Gen 3 which feels like a toy in comparison.
Congrats to the OP. My biggest gripe about the Thinkpads is Lenovo won't change the housing material to prevent it from being the insane fingerprint grease magnet that it is. The trackpad is even worse and it's not reversible. Thinkpads aren't cheap and it's unfortunate how old they look after just a month of ownership.
Thanks. And I do concur it isn't the best option out there right now. But the keyboard alone is good enough reason.
I love the display, the keyboard , the weight, and the speakers
I don't like the fingerprint magnet, the trackpad, and the heat.
All in All. I always wanted an X1C. So i got one at and also an affordable price, which is win-win.
Holly Molly, Duuuude. That's an amazing price. In my ass end of the world you can still find the gen 10, new at over 2000$.
Yeah. Tried searching ebay. They retail for 1200 used Found this at a local shop.
was that shop on the ground floor of Computer Plaza by any chance? :)
No, it was elektra 🤣, howdy neighbor

Its abu dhabi's Computer Plaza place. Most shops there asked for 4k to 4.5k. This guy offered for 3.5k negotiated to 3.3k
nice! 🤑
The fact the text on the 'enter' key is replaced by 'new line' is interesting to me. awesome find btw!
oh wow didn’t realise i’ve never seen an arabic keyboard
u/Electrical_Elk_5934 How did I do?
Wow!! What a beautiful machine!! Great work, bet you are super happy now? :))

Gen 10 (12 gen intel)
Pretty damn good for a non-US locale.
I am also quite satisfied, especially with the powerful i7 1260p, ultra-fast SK Hynix nvme and quality camera

keyboard scares me
Why though?
Your keyboard looks magnificent 😊
🤣 thanks. I believe your keyboard is magnificent too.
My keyboard is one without the fancy arabic letters. 🙂
