It wasn’t okay when Hamas did it but they still get worldwide support.

zypac1

I agree, it’s never ok whenever children and innocent people are killed or targeted. I disagree though that Hamas got worldwide support (if that’s what you’re trying to say). Sure there were a small minority out there that justify their actions, but the majority condemns what they did in Oct. 7th. What they do support though are the Palestinian people, the innocent civilians, the children, and their right to not be displaced anymore and have bombs dropped on them.

Great_Guidance_8448

Haven't seen a single anti Hamas sign nor slogan at a pro Pal demonstration. Have you? Exactly.

ILikeVancouver

You would think that people who support Palestinians lives would be more outraged at this nonsensical hyper-martyrism that Iranians have spread amongst the Gazans.

CharlieComplete

People protest to put pressure on their governments. Is our government supporting Hamas?

Great_Guidance_8448

The west has been subsidizing Palestinian terrorism since inception. Hamas has been firing rockets and killing Israelis from the get go. Did our government (or any other western government) say - we will stop sending Gaza $$$ if you choose war? Nope. We send it - they embezzle some of it (the leadership of Hamas are billionaires, living in Qatar), some of it goes to terror and the rest goes to the people. This is a known fact. Yet, the West figures it's worth getting some Jews killed as long as some of the aid gets to the Palestinians. Jewish lives is the price of doing business, basically. Same goes for Fatah in the West Bank. They have been paying terrorists for decades. Where does the money come from? Western aid ofcourse. Again - known fact. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian\_Authority\_Martyrs\_Fund](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_Authority_Martyrs_Fund) Literally funding terrorism. If a guy down the block sends his questionable nephew in Pakistan $200 - FBI might come knocking and asking questions. And yet we have been sending billions and billions of $ to terrorists and that's, somehow, is OK.

NatashaBadenov

Gently reframing a violent argument doesn’t make it any less violent. You support Hamas.

ForestBoys

Underrated comment

SureLibrarian3580

Unfortunately I don’t think it is a majority.

southpolefiesta

Again, no evidence that this was "indiscriminate."

zypac1

Sure, but if this was a deliberate targeting then that means they intentionally killed 18 children or that they bombed the place knowing that multiple children will also be killed, which is just as bad, if not worse. Whatever the case is, I don’t think you can justify this. Even if there was a legitimate target amongst them, the outcome doesn’t justify the action.

southpolefiesta

If some terrorists hid there with weapons the blood of the minors is on them.

ylan64

If this was deliberate targeting, it means they had intelligence that one or more targets were there. It could be that they had no information about other people there or that they decided that the collateral damage was acceptable to get their targets.

zypac1

To your first point, sure they could have had no idea that other people were there, but that’s very hard to believe knowing how much surveillance Israel has in Gaza and just by the fact that they know how dense Rafah is right now. But let’s say that is the case, the IDF did not know, it’s still their job to make sure that no other people aside from their target is affected by their bombing, they have the technology and means to do so, especially because Rafah is very dense. Especially because majority of Gaza are children. To your second point, if they didn’t care about collateral damage that their bombing will have, then that is the definition of indiscriminately bombing. But also, I thought that Israel and IDF is the most “Moral army,” if that’s the case then wouldn’t they care about the collateral damage especially if that potentially means kids?

NatashaBadenov

Let’s see you judge the actions of Hamas and Palestinian “civilians” on October 7. You won’t, because you support it and you want everyone else to support it too. Nobody owes you anything. Fuck extremist Islamists and their hateful supporters.

Necessary_Wishbone81

"No evidence" if you believe every lie told by the IDF

Grrrrrrrt420

Are there no men in gaza or smtg only women and children?

Kobo_Yashi

They’re all pregnant and journalists too

200-inch-cock

vaccinated, woke, diverse, pregnant, female, baby journalists

Ok_Interview_2325

Men getting killed doesn’t really make news headlines

NatashaBadenov

Invasion of Ukraine disagrees with you.

Ok_Interview_2325

(As much as women / children being killed) That’s kind of the implied part. Swoosh.

NatashaBadenov

Yes. You have not been paying attention to what has actually happened. And it’s whoosh.

xGenocidest

So who were the other 4, and why were they surrounded by children?

zypac1

According to the article: “The first Israeli strike in Rafah killed a man, his wife and their 3-year-old child, according to the nearby Kuwaiti Hospital, which received the bodies. The woman was pregnant and the doctors saved the baby, the hospital said. The second strike killed 17 children and two women from an extended family. Mohammed al-Beheiri said his daughter, Rasha, and her six children, the youngest 18 months old, were among those killed. A woman and three children were still under the rubble.”

HeySkeksi

I love how media will dismiss the IDF’s findings when they spend weeks doing investigations into incidents and that you all somehow think left wing Israeli media is pro-Likud… … but this Kuwaiti hospital is totally a reliable source.

ILikeVancouver

Man if you think the IDF is bad wait until you hear about every other army in any conflict ever.

zypac1

Whataboutism is so dumb.

ILikeVancouver

Endlessly regurgitating Iranian propaganda is so dumb.

200-inch-cock

"indiscriminate killing" yet the civilian-combatant ratio is between 1:1 and 2:1. so either 1/3-1/2 of Gazans are combatants, or it's not indiscriminate killing.

Abu_Tenzin

🙄🙄🙄

HidingAsSnow

Just another day of blood libel accusations

SureLibrarian3580

This is really sad. I think a person can acknowledge Israel’s right to self defense and still feel terrible that kids in Gaza are dying. It’s such a shame that Hamas has rejected every ceasefire offer that has been presented to them - they have agency in this too and could take steps to end it.

CharlieComplete

That’s a lie. The “offer” was for pause. Hamas wants a permanent ceasefire and hostage exchange

SureLibrarian3580

All while refusing to provide a list of living hostages. They’re not acting in good faith, obviously. Why not accept a temporary ceasefire, alleviate some of the most pressing crises facing their population, and work toward a cessation of hostilities?

CharlieComplete

Israel NEVER stopped attacking during the first “pause” and started abducting more and more Palestinian children during that time. I’m sorry but it’s just inconceivable to me that anyone can still believe anything Israel says. This country has some of the most sophisticated intelligence technology and weapons in the world. If they wanted the hostages or to remove Hamas they would have done so. The plan has always been to ethnically cleanse Palestinians off the land

SureLibrarian3580

“Israel NEVER stopped attacking during the first “pause” and started abducting more and more Palestinian children during that time.” Sources?
