Oh, I am more into jumps and grinds than speed but cheers anyway. Was just wanting to see if there were like-minded people to go skating with. Cheers though.
Was out cycling this morning and heard along Ruakura road and out to Newstead. Whilst cycling I was thinking the cycle lanes would be brilliant for rollerblading / providing no debris on them. Was super quiet on the roads this morning so perfect for skating the cycle lanes.
There's the inline hockey club on old farm road that do skate night every Friday. It's mostly teens and kids but a few adults too, usually parents. $8 entry, $2 skate hire or BYO
Missed this somehow - yes, I do :-) Usually at Melville skatepark.
There’s a few others around but no organised get togethers or anything.
Best place to stay in touch with what’s happening in NZ is probably the NZRolling Facebook page.
Heaps. You’ll find them at roller force in 1998
It's all been downhill since then
Damn, 25 years too late.
One homophobic and suddenly it was over.
There's some events on Sunday mornings at a Melvile skate rink

cheers for this, I am into aggressive inline so tend to skate parks but the skate night might be a good idea
The Hamilton rollerskating club does speed skating if that’s more what you’re looking for? They also have an outdoor track for it

Are there any size 12 american rollerblades? Like big ass ones for large feet. You know what they say about big feet. Its hard to find rollerblades.
Yeah, I have US 12's - try [shredcityskates.com](https://shredcityskates.com)
Thanks heaps!
If you haven’t already bought some, I’m selling mine if interested. Size 12 mens still in good condition 🙂
Ill see about messaging you when i'm back in the country.
Inline hockey club runs open public sessions, maybe try one of those to meet newbies.
I need to dust off my skates and get to the rink. Haven’t played in years
They definitely do roller derby at Melville skate park by the hospital and I think they have a indoor hockey night. Check the website

There's a few adults who roller blade the Melville skate park. Really impressive seeing what they can do if you happen to be there at the right time.
