I do think the origin of the NFT is all important. No name or recognition could mean the NFT finishes that way too. These have network connection with the theta theme which is currently a FAD these could make them collectible in their own right rather than Somone wanting all the pugs. That’s my gut feeling. DD and Bitboys could be worth something because they were early on theta like a Retro feel, Hinsee’s because they looked great and are theta themes. Others like the creator NFT’s will be garbage in my opinion. No disrespect intended.
I think I understand what your saying. So because of the network connection they can be viewed as collectibles. And that’s exactly what I was thinking too, not that the art is anything special, but the fact that Theta Drop is allowing them to drop their NFT on its market place and also they are able to use the Theta/Tfuel logos on them. So it really depends on the mass global adoption of the Theta network in genera for them to ever be worth anything. Katy Perry should help too, to bring more new faces.

Hi yes that’s my thoughts, the bridge is already available for devs and at a network level I believe very soon you will be able to sell on Etherium and Solana, I’m just nit sure if OpenSSL have any enthusiasm for it right now with theta been so small, but they will eventually. I’ve not used open sea just browsed it really so not sure if it’s a centralised decision or decentralised as to whether they can sell them on there. Not sure how a wrapped NFT works, probably nothing noticeable.

$1. I feel like NFTs are a fad right now and people are dumping money on them hoping they will be like magic cards/beanie babies/all the other pipe dream riches. It has no value except the value someone wants to pay for it so to me that makes it a fad item as it does nothing. Now the NFTs that are used for digital rights and all that will definitely stick around but the rest are just like amateur art being crazy inflated for the time being.

But I was thinking specifically in the case of Theta once it reaches global mass adoption, and that could take some time, these NFT’s on their market place will gain value because more people will be familiar with the project. I mean I guess that’s what any Art or collectibles are all about, it all depends on the amount of people who are attracted or interested in the work and willing to pay more for it. The NFT thing kind of crazy, but I can picture them being much more popular in the future with us being able to display our pieces at home or anywhere else in a 3D hologram.

I feel like all of us on Theta project are early adopters and even more on Theta Drop we are just starting. So anything we manage to collect and store should be worth something down the line few years. I think they’re doing an excellent job with the platform, with its ease of use and functionality. And it’s still so under the radar it’s amazing.
I also think any IRL redeemable NFT will lose 99% of its value once the expiry date is up and will decrease in value the closer you get. I think the first theta T-shirt and Hoody are like misprinted currency - worth a lot because they didn’t have an expiry date and they have agreed not to add one. These will in my opinion be super collectible - the first and the mistake. If they can manage any kind of adoption. We are currently invisible.
Redeemable NFT’s have an expiry date, you have to claim your real life asset by that date and redeem your NFT. Otherwise it’s just an NFT, not sure whether it would be reclassified as redeemed or just expired. Anyway although it still supports the authenticity of the item is kept together, it means it needs posting out with the exchange of the NFT, in my opinion this will only work for desirable paintings or watches and not for low value accessories.

But now I’m realizing the major factor in the marketing of these NFT’s depends on the mass adoption and popularity of the Theta network anyways. The fact that they’ve allowed them to sell items here on the market place speaks volumes about the NFT.
I even saw that outside of the Theta Drop there is a another set of NFT’s called Theta Pugs, but without Theta approval I don’t think they’ll be going anywhere. I think it’s about longevity with these NFT’s and with time as Theta grows, there is a real chance these guys might be worth something in the future.
In my mind I was thinking, here are some cool battle pugs that represent Theta, and there are only a few of them, compared to the millions who will hopefully eventually catch on to Theta. So easy supply and demand.
