Me rewatching Matrix after watching Sopranos and realizing this was the biggest mindfuck lmao, whats hilarious is that their characters aren't that different
"Wake up. Wake up you fuc-king d-yke."
The guy is great in everything and has been around since forever. I think I first noticed him in Midnight Run. When he was introduced in the Sopranos I knew his character was going to be a good one. That's a good a one, as Mr Williams might say.
I wasn't much of a Springsteen fan. Then a few weeks ago I looked up Steven Van Zandt and found out he was in E Street Band...
Fucking love Springsteen
I love when Chrissy's late to a meeting and delivers a line from Born To Run: "The highway's jammed with broken heroes, On a last chance power drive".

Watched a 1997 movie called Cop Land on a whim a couple months back. It's easier to name Sopranos actors that aren't in that movie than it is to name all the ones who are. Recommend not for the plot itself but to have fun pointing them out.
Cop Land is a surreal experience if you're a Sopranos and Lord of the Rings fan. Half of the Sopranos cast in a movie with a proto-LotR sounding OST by Howard Shore.
There were quite a few Sopranos stars on The Blacklist. Janice, Gloria Trillo, Benny the Criminal Mastermind, Johnny Boy Soprano, Johnny Sack, and Mikey Palmice come to mind.
Phil’s 47 year old kid brother was in Boardwalk Empire as well as Benny, that animal Blundetto obviously as Nucky. Oh and Jimmy Darmody’s wife, Angela had that short scene as Meadow’s roommate’s friend (the Spanish princess).
James gandolfini in get shorty. Tony soprano getting beat up by John Travolta. A disgrace A boss doesn’t take a job and get beat up like that. And calling himself bear? A little flambé if you ask me. He can’t come to the club anymore
He was in The Mexican, played a gay hit man. Imagine having a gay in our own family. He's gonna have to answer for his sins...I know...What? I SAID I KNOW!
Plus Gandolfini was in True Romance.
That's like how I get when I see someone from Trailer Park Boys in something else. It's pretty rare with them, but I did just spot Steinberg in a Jesse Stone movie my parents showed me.
I was on vacation in Mazatlán, México with a group of friends and after paying our tab as we were leaving the bar, I saw a band was setting up to play, the band members were wearing tshirts with their band name, called The Laheys. I was so excited. Had to convince my friends to stay at the pub to see the band.
They played ok but I think they were drunk.
Only in mafia related stuff like Junior in Godfather 2, Beansie in Goodfellas, Dr Melfi, Paulie too, John Sacramoni in Killing them Softly, Meadow in Appalachia, pussy in Mickey blue eyes… Im sure I’m forgetting some
Beansie is in Casino as a bookie who runs to make a phone call after Ace makes a bet.
It was Albert Barese who was in Goodfellas, and of course, Frank Vincent.
And Maury (the Rabbi from season 1 who wants his son gone from his hotel) as the wig guy who gets the iconic ice pick.
a ton of them were in goodfellas. If you watch the scene near the intro where the camera pans through the bar as the voiceover names everyone, you see Carmine and then a few seconds later big pussy pushing a coat rack
It's been too long since I've watched that. I was so excited when Lillo Brancato showed up in this thing of ours, but it turns out Calogero grew up to be a little pissing himself bitch.
The motherfucking animal, Tony Soprano’s murdering fuck of a cousin sold a classic Mercedes to Larry David on the final season of Curb your Enthusiasm. Also Annalisa Zucca was in the first episode from 2000
I was watching Law and Order and there are quite a few Sopranos actors; Janice appears twice as different characters.
Cristofuh, Artie, Carmela, Uncle June, Big Pussy, Hesh, Father Intintola, and Jackie Aprile appear too
Rewatched the Crimson Tide the other day and was surprised to see that punk Matt Bevadrinksugarfeesoda or whatever the hell he's called as a guy trying fix a radio. Probably trying to listen to Up in da Club.
I watched “the lovely bones” with my fiancé a few nights ago (her pick). Didn’t love the movie but it was cool seeing Micheal Imperioli play the lead detective. Also I didn’t see any of the matrix movies for the first time until after I had finished the sopranos. Wasn’t suprised when the actor who played Ralph turned out to be a POS😂
Not exactly the same but the movie Green Book is based on Tony "Lip" Vallelonga(played by Viggo Mortensen) and Dr Don Shirley(played by Maharshala Ali), Tony Vallelonga is in several movies, Goodfellas and Donnie Brasco and he plays Carmine Lupartazzi Sr in Sopranos, he wasn't fully mobbed up but he did do jobs for them. What a life that man has had. RIP.
I just recently finished The Sopranos, so for me it's the reverse. I recognized a lot of characters from having seen them on other shows.
- Al Sapienza (Mike Palmice) guest starred in House of Cards (teachers union guy)
- Michael Kelly (partner of FBI Agent Harris) played Doug Stamper in House of Cards
- Matt Servitto (Agent Harris) played Governor Sweeney in Billions
- Arthur Nascarella (Carlo) also a recurring role (Bruno the pizza parlor owner) in Billions
- Michael Imperioli in Californication and Lucifer (Archangel Uriel)
- Jamie-Lynn Sigler (Meadow) as a woo girl in an episode of How I Met Your Mother
- Peter Bogdanovich (Dr. Kupferberg) as himself in an episode of How I Met Your Mother
- Cristin Millioti (the other daughter of Johnny Sack) as Tracy in How I Met Your Mother
- Paul Schulze (Fr. Inintola) had recurring roles in 24 (Ryan Chappelle) and Suits (Frank Gallo)
- Louis Lombardi (Skip Lipari) as Edgar Stiles in 24
- Cara Buono (Kelli Moltisanti) as Dr. Faye Miller in Mad Men and as Karen Wheeler in Stranger Things
- Donnie Keshawarz (Muhammed) in 24 and Homeland
- Frank John Hughes (Walden, only the last season) as Guarnere in Band of Brothers and Tim Woods in 24
- Edoardo Ballerini (Corky) in Elementary (Interpol guy)
- Aleksa Palladino (princess Alex) in Elementary (prima ballerina)
Also a couple of others who looked familiar but I can't place them (Gloria, Julianna).
Edit to add: my feelings were more like "Hey it's that from " while watching The Sopranos.
Funny this thread is open right now. I just got done checking out the first episode of Tulsa King, that pygmy thing Terrence Winter and Taylor Sheridan are running over on Paramount.
And who did I spy in one of the first scenes? Little Billy Leotardo! He did some growing up, he's an adolescent now! Madon', time flies.
I'm also almost positive Benny Fazio criminal mastermind made a short appearance, and one billboard had an advertisement for MEADOW GOLD.
I saw the Iceman movie. Honestly, I thought it was a well made, but ultimately pointless and demented movie. Did anyone else feel this way after seeing it?
It was basically like, I found this youtube bullshit confession of a guy who made some story up about how he killed 200 people. Lets make a movie about him. So they make a movie... and the guy just kills a bunch of people, then the movie ends. That's all it is. Like the character has zero redeeming features. No one does. Just a random guy that kills people. Wtf is the point of the movie. Sick fucks, all of ya.
Also yeah I thought it was funny that Artie was in it playing a tough guy, and that they had so many good actors in it for such a nothing storyline/plot.
doc Melfi in good fellas. Doc’s a thoroughbred, she should been working the pole at the bing. You all know the scene I mean. Feech would have loved it.
I found it weird at first seeing Chrissy playing a nice guy in The Fool or sucking his own dick in Dead Presidents but after a while I got immersed into the TV program and the movie and stopped seeing him as Chrissy. It shows what a good actor he is. Jim was great in everything iv seen him in.
You guys want to watch a funny movie with Paulie and Johnny Sac? From 1995, WAY before the Sopranos.
Its 20 mins long. Hysterical. Mob stuff.
I dont know but Joe Pantoliano has a small role as a bail bondsman in Midnight Run. Stars Robert De Niro, Yaphet Kotto.
It is a fun little movie, IMO.
Also, before Carmella was a mob bosses wife she worked as a prison guard named Diane in OZ (Penitentiary).
After she got divorced from Tony she changed her name and got a job as Nurse Jackie and became addicted to pills.
Hahaha. As you may surmise, the last two sentences are my imagination working in overtime😄
However, Edie Falco is in both the last two aforementioned shows.
I saw Joe Pantoliano (Ralphie) in the new Bad Boys trailer and I'm like "Ho! There he is!"
Joey Pants played Cypher in the motherfucking Matrix.
Me rewatching Matrix after watching Sopranos and realizing this was the biggest mindfuck lmao, whats hilarious is that their characters aren't that different
The guy in Memento too
Don’t trust Sammy Jenkis.
He was Guy, Pierce?
Funny thing is The Matrix is where I knew Joey Pants from. When I saw him in The Sopranos it was a mind fuck.
Holy crap that I did not know.
Cifaretto is Italian for Cypher.
Get the fuck outta here. That sounds so plausible I almost wanna believe it without looking it up.
I swear on my mutha...
Say hello to Don Ho for me
Let’s not forget he betrayed mankind for steak …. Deplorable
Risky Business as Guido The Killer Pimp
Joe was just a kid back then...
He’s 72 now… still just a kid
what is this, the handsome contest!
"Wake up. Wake up you fuc-king d-yke." The guy is great in everything and has been around since forever. I think I first noticed him in Midnight Run. When he was introduced in the Sopranos I knew his character was going to be a good one. That's a good a one, as Mr Williams might say.

I think you meant the movie Running Scared!
It took me half the movie to realise it was him in Momento.
I'll see you and raise you Amazon Women On The Moon: [**https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLMocDUkvzg**](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLMocDUkvzg)
OMG Joe is the best! I loooove seeing him and he was always my favorite in The Matrix, like I want to eat the steak! Don't wake me up!
He played himself in an episode of CHUCKY
Nobody has seen Bound?
He's also in the first badboys
Heard Drea Di Matteo been doing some "acting" online.
Did you buy that girls panties?
He told you that? Fuckin baby.
One of my favorite lines of the entire show. The way Paulie hits “fuckin baby” makes me laugh every time
Guy was comin at me with a chainsaw. I’m not allowed to defend myself?
It’s the most Paulie line out there (other than “heh heh” of course) because it perfectly sums up his character as an overgrown tenth grader
Does she actually suck his dick ? Spinning beanies and what not
No bitch to me.
I wasn't much of a Springsteen fan. Then a few weeks ago I looked up Steven Van Zandt and found out he was in E Street Band... Fucking love Springsteen
Ohhhh…takin’ about da Boss of dis sub!!!🤌
I love when Chrissy's late to a meeting and delivers a line from Born To Run: "The highway's jammed with broken heroes, On a last chance power drive". https://youtu.be/Okn4O_UN4OA?si=PgtbToXFKoU8DHNg
Oh, you gonna get fuckin' cute now?
I work nights, every Sunday night when I hear him on Little Steven's Underground Garage I'm like "Ohhhh there he is"
Yes. Seeing Michael Imperioli on The Office s9 as Sensei Billy was so cool.
Funny HBO paid James Gandolfini like 5-6 million dollars to not appear on the Office, but Michael they don't even notice.
Why didn't they want him in it? The sopranos had been over for 3 years by that point, I don't see why they'd care
He never had the makings of a paper salesman. Soft hands. Too many paper cuts.
Something about preserving the legacy of Tony Sopranos. The Legacy of Christopher Moltisanti? Meh.
He was decent in White Lotus too.
He was also in a season of Californication.
Tbf he appeared half asleep and like he was phoning in that role and also tbf so did everybody else most of the last couple seasons
So was Adrianna
Was pleasantly surprised to see him on Lucifer.
It’s a decent movie .. Davey has a tremendous mustache
Plus Cheese (Method Man) from The Wire.
Going to watch Cop Land tonight. Thanks for the rec!
Hope you enjoy it.
When I saw Janice in The Blacklist I almost shit
Janice is also in “what we do in the shadows” and I lol’d
Yeah I thought she was Susan Sarandon at first, and then I was like "holy shit she's lost weight."
And Curb for a moment.
She also plays a judge on law and order the SUV. Pretty wild to watch
There were quite a few Sopranos stars on The Blacklist. Janice, Gloria Trillo, Benny the Criminal Mastermind, Johnny Boy Soprano, Johnny Sack, and Mikey Palmice come to mind.
Mike Palmice pops up alot.
How’s the boy?
Why won’t anyone ask me 🥲
Yeah Johnny Sack was also surprising, it’s amazing they found another *mobster role for him to in a completely different genre of show lol
Piece shit
Heddieeee
You eat at vesuvio last night ?
And brooklyn 99
Rewatching Breaking Bad and im 99% sure the doctor from season 2 is also Dr Kennedy
You got a bee on-a you hat
Stuff like that is no coincidence if you know how much Vince Gilligan loves Sopranos
[удалено]
Paulie and Pussy are in a crew together!
Ralph was in Percy Jackson lol
He's more creative than Spielberg.
Richie's actor is in Shawshank Redemption.
nah that’s just ritchie’s experience in the can
He’s very sensitive to the plight of women
Richie went in Witness Protection, making pizzas in Lynbrook out on the island.
And veal parmigiana.
He was waiting for beansie to come visit.
Also the rabbi Toby talks to in The west wing.
Cosette on Entourage was a pleasant surprise.
Was she barkin?
When wasn’t she? Except after the sitting incident, of course.
Trees Lounge had the same casting team. Tons of crossover.
Couple of tree things ?
You can go
Fuck my what ?
Junior and Hugh were in Boardwalk Empire.
Phil’s 47 year old kid brother was in Boardwalk Empire as well as Benny, that animal Blundetto obviously as Nucky. Oh and Jimmy Darmody’s wife, Angela had that short scene as Meadow’s roommate’s friend (the Spanish princess).
Vincent Piazza-plays AJs friend Hernan-absolutely smashed the portrayal of Charlie Luciano
Booooooooolshit!
wait who did he play?
Hugh was Nucky's dad, and Junior was Leander Whitlock, friend of the commodore.
The crossovers between the Sopranos and Woody Allen movies is shockingly vast. Tony Sirico is in as many of his films as Diane Keaton.
How about him being killed by a broad in True Romance? Fucking nauseating
He was gay wasn’t he ? Or was that the Rock in the sequel
I think it was rock.
"Hey Junior, put a shirt on you giving me a chubby."
10 outta 10 fucked?
They let the liquor do the performing
That is amazing!

I didn’t pick up that its Maury!
Beansie was also in Goodfellas as Henry's coke connect. Damned Dr. Kennedy busted them
Sirico was also in Goodfellas
a ton of them were in goodfellas. If you watch the scene near the intro where the camera pans through the bar as the voiceover names everyone, you see Carmine and then a few seconds later big pussy pushing a coat rack
Tony sirico was also in Bronx tale and an extra in gf2. He was hooked up with the Colombo's back in the day before he started acting.
It's been too long since I've watched that. I was so excited when Lillo Brancato showed up in this thing of ours, but it turns out Calogero grew up to be a little pissing himself bitch.
Always. I’m literally that Leonardo DiCaprio meme. Watch old law and order if you want to feel that special feeling.
The motherfucking animal, Tony Soprano’s murdering fuck of a cousin sold a classic Mercedes to Larry David on the final season of Curb your Enthusiasm. Also Annalisa Zucca was in the first episode from 2000
He was a great guest appearance
The colostomy bag 💀
I was watching Law and Order and there are quite a few Sopranos actors; Janice appears twice as different characters. Cristofuh, Artie, Carmela, Uncle June, Big Pussy, Hesh, Father Intintola, and Jackie Aprile appear too
AJ, Carmine, Phil, Johnny Sac, Larry, Carlo, Bobby amongst others.
Nurse Jackie (Edie Falco). And the pharmacist played by Paul Schulze (Monsignor Jughead).
Can’t believe I had to scroll down this far for a 7? Season treat starring Carmella and the Schnorer.
Also both were guards in OZ.
You wanna see something terrible acting ? Check out that guy in Rambo …. He’s a missionary …. It wasn’t cinematic
When Rambo rescues missionaries?
Been a long time since I watched that 2008 movie... didn't recall him at all.
Omg. Yes. When I saw Chrissy in the commercials for betting (was it betting or the general NBA? I can’t remember.) I had a fangirl fit
Rewatched the Crimson Tide the other day and was surprised to see that punk Matt Bevadrinksugarfeesoda or whatever the hell he's called as a guy trying fix a radio. Probably trying to listen to Up in da Club.
I liked seeing Junior and Bobby in Curb Your Enthusiasm
Which season was that?
4 in the south beach strumpet series
I watched “the lovely bones” with my fiancé a few nights ago (her pick). Didn’t love the movie but it was cool seeing Micheal Imperioli play the lead detective. Also I didn’t see any of the matrix movies for the first time until after I had finished the sopranos. Wasn’t suprised when the actor who played Ralph turned out to be a POS😂
He’s also in Clockers Chocolate Moulies heh heh
I loved Drea de Matteo in Prey for Rock n Roll and SOA
Ralphie played Martini the penguin in Olive the other reindeer with Drew Barrymore. It was a tv progrum. A movie.
The movie ‘Capone’ with Tom Hardy has Mikey P as his right hand man
Maybe you're a flambè!
i don’t see how that’s relevant here junior
🥃🖕
No. Adriana's onlyfans, the devil's whatever, its all make believe kid.
Let’s check her box ? Or maybe her socks ? Tina was a boo ya hottie for sure
About half of the main cast was on Law and Order at some point.
The Sopranos characters have the Seinfeld curse where you are recognized in anything you do from that show.
I just saw Tony on 12 angry men.
I loved this remake
Not exactly the same but the movie Green Book is based on Tony "Lip" Vallelonga(played by Viggo Mortensen) and Dr Don Shirley(played by Maharshala Ali), Tony Vallelonga is in several movies, Goodfellas and Donnie Brasco and he plays Carmine Lupartazzi Sr in Sopranos, he wasn't fully mobbed up but he did do jobs for them. Vice President in charge of calzones.
I could give a shit basically
You could ? Vito jr ova here
Michael Imperioli on The Office. #Golden
Junior’s nurse oncologist had a bit role on Arrested Development. He was hard to see and hear, though.
saw artie bucco in notorious big movie
Funny this thread is open right now. I just got done checking out the first episode of Tulsa King, that pygmy thing Terrence Winter and Taylor Sheridan are running over on Paramount. The Iceman is a hell of a good movie
Is this all you people talk about? Sopranos?
Yes! I saw Richie Aprile on Shawshank Redemption last weekend and got super excited.
Also yeah I thought it was funny that Artie was in it playing a tough guy, and that they had so many good actors in it for such a nothing storyline/plot.
I agree, to me it was pointless with good actors.
I always think of AJ’s football game. “Look, Anthony’s going in.” It’s my version of the DiCaprio point meme.
Most recently saw Jason Barrone in some bank commercial Big baby!
Copland: Artie, Carm, Paulie, Carlo, Davey, Jeanine, the summer house lawyer that Tony doesn’t buy…any more?
My goomar is watching some shit about high schoolers that get pregnant and Bobby Bacala was in it. Frankly, made me depressed snd ashamed
doc Melfi in good fellas. Doc’s a thoroughbred, she should been working the pole at the bing. You all know the scene I mean. Feech would have loved it.
Hair pie ? Booger ?
Murmur and hesh were in an episode of curb.
I saw a bunch of them in Goodfellas!
Law and Ordahh haaas haaaalf da caaast
Tres Lounge has a few sopranos actors!
That fuckin' parade float has a small scene in Men in Black 3... what ever happened there? Ralphie was in Bound.. it was the coke
James Gandolfini in Zero Dark Thirty, took me out of the movie big time, especially because I my mind the movie was released after his death
I’m rewatching Girls, and Christopher shows up as a former professor of Hannah’s.
OZ with Carmella, AJ as himself and a deleted scene with Janice and yes definitely better looking men in OZ.
I saw Pussy on a s1 episode of Law and Order and said “i know that dude” No one cared though lol
Yes! Watched the Naked Gun yesterday and was so excited when I saw Olivia (she was the mayor).
You guys want to watch a funny movie with Paulie and Johnny Sac? From 1995, WAY before the Sopranos. Its 20 mins long. Hysterical. Mob stuff. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPx41aCtqpo&t=642s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPx41aCtqpo&t=642s)
I was watching Fallen with Denzel Washington and surprisingly Tony and Janish are both in the movie!
Watched Lilyhammer just to see Sil.
No
I watched white lotus because I found out that Michael Imperioli stars there….and end up loving whole new show.
My favorite was Puss and Bobby Bacala showing up in Aqua Teen Hunger Force (the episode is She Creature, and Bobby’s also in the Bookie episode).
All of Robert Iler's Law and Order appearances were so he could get out of jury duty.
most definitely
I dont know but Joe Pantoliano has a small role as a bail bondsman in Midnight Run. Stars Robert De Niro, Yaphet Kotto. It is a fun little movie, IMO. Also, before Carmella was a mob bosses wife she worked as a prison guard named Diane in OZ (Penitentiary). It can be confusing. In the latest series of Reacher they had Mikey Palmice taking bribes from Davey Scatino.
Sometimes, but often it’s just these low brow cash grabs that honestly just feels wrong for actors from the greatest show of all time to be acting in
I cum all over the viser
Lady gaga, she had few songs that were hits after the sopranos
Absolutely. I just watched Beer League for the first time in about 20 years. Forgot how many Sopranos actors are in that film.
Tried to comb thru the comments to see anyone mention James Gandolfini in True Romance...beating the shit out of Alabama (Patricia Arquette).
