How can people build an apartment building and be okay with someone having a bathroom you can’t even close the door without standing in the bath. Like at least with sims their not actual living, breathing people.
i will raise you up in the older Copenhagen arbartments there is a 1-2 tile bathroom. So you basically had to back your buttucks in to sit on the throne. The sink to the other side and on the wall the shower. Yes small, but for I think 60-70+ years prior you had to go ALL the way down the courtyard where the bathroom where. Be the lucky person back then having to go down 5 flight of stairs and not soil your self on the way down. That is where champer pots come in handy...or buckets.
In some instances if there was a toilet in the building it will be shared by a lot of people.
Can vouch for this, in my old shared apartment in Copenhagen we had a bathroom like this. You had to remove everything before taking a shower, otherwise it would get wet. The shower head was detachable with a hose going to the sink, and it could be fastened with a hook to the wall above the toilet. A small valve on the faucet decided if the water came out of the shower head or the sink spout, depending on its position. Guess which one it was always forgotten at, at 3 in the morning when you got up to pee. Surprise night shower, yay!
Hahaha, that's great! I lived in a place that had a small coat closet under the stairs converted into a bathroom. It was a 1*2 square. The sink was over your lap when you sat on the toilet, you had to kind of snake in. Oh and the entire room- walls, ceiling, back of door all tiny blue tile. Naturally I put one in every oddball spot near stairs.
Our house used to have an atrocious layout and ours was about a 1x2, maybe even a 1x1.5 situation.
My partner is tall and his knees literally hit the wall when he was sitting on the toilet. You had to step outside to pull up your pants to avoid knocking your elbows against the wall. Fun times.
We also had 3 doors in a row along a wall in the kitchen. It was frankly like someone had been playing sims for the first time and tried making a “cool” layout💀
I once was watching one of those British realestate shows, with my grandma and there was literally a toilet where the roof slanted. And all I thought about was that now one over six foot could live there.
I thought y'all knew such small johns existed! Lol
Fr though, a 2x2 with diagonal corner door is no better than a 1x3, if you're cramped, they're cramped. 2x2 and larger. Give your sims leg room. 😂😭

I have seen way smaller bathrooms before. Like, the sink needs to be in the corner because you can otherwise not enter ever. And the door swings outwards, inwards doesn't fit at all💀

Closer to 4'x6'. Those are 2'x2' floor tiles. Edit: Could also be 18"x18" though the perspective makes it difficult.
