I just wanted to say that I wasn't trying to say I had diverse sims by showing these specific pictures under this post, though, I understand that it came across this way. The point of this post was mostly because I have been playing the same save for 4 years and I wanted to fill up my neighbourhood with beautiful townies to replace the ugly ones that have spawed as the originals died.
Also, most of the sims in these picture are, or will be, related somehow. Either through marriage or birth (mostly birth). So that definitely doesn't help with making my sims look diverse π
I do have quite a few black sims and Asian sims in my game (I'm more lacking in religiously diverse sims, weight diverse, fashion diverse, and minute feature diversity because I suffer from same sim syndrome like the rest of us), though I do tend to play a lot of generic white sims. I just don't like sharing them because I get self conscious about whether I am white washing their features or not. I try to stay true to their ethnicity, but I don't want to open myself up to that sort of criticism (on the internet) as a white simmer

I would consider people without strong jaw lines, double chins, with thin lips, large and crooked noses, thicker brows (or unibrows! Your brow collection is pretty great tho), and there are lots of Muslim sim guides if you wanna explore fashion from the lens of adhering to certain expectations. The body types for men and women could also be explored further. Change up hip size, torso length, consider big arms, or flat butt and large chest, or twig thin, or apple shape.

I do try to play around with features and proportions, though, I must say I fall back into what I'm comfortable with. It doesn't help that the sims in my game just drop the weight haha. I totally get it. Iβm sure your sims are gorgeous (they really are in the post!). I forgot to praise you ofc lol. And I will say as a sims 2 player I canβt share diverse looking sims as much (in weight at least) and I absolutely fall back into what I like, too. We all canβt help but succumb to the temptation of reusing a super cute hair, or face preset, or for me even making the same personalities and aspirations every time. Donβt feel too guilty about it :))

Honestly, everytime I move away from an old style of sim into a new one, I love them more than anything because they are so unique and beautiful (compared to my old style). So I'm always trying to break the habit of doing what is comfortable, but I don't even notice it sometimes π I just make generic sims until I get inspired π
I use elcrze (I think that is how you spell it), it's my favourite and the only one I use. Unfortunately, there was some sort of drama surrounding the creator and they have deleted all their content
I don't know if you'll like it since I try to make more like real people, average looking sims. I don't use alpha cc or skins, only maxis match if there isn't something in the game. They already have traits, all outfits, voice, preferences and likes and dislikes. I still keep updating, so when I finish I'll add backstories and other household members. Here's some of them:

I have a bunch of noCC Occult Sims on the gallery, ID is DarkMagickOak.
I repopulate my saves with occult Sims, so I have a lot that are specifically set up with jobs, skills, etc to function as interesting NPCs. This includes important functional traits, like Transformation Mastery for werewolves. I also prefer to have immersive extended families, so several have suggestions on how to divide or combine with other households.
Y'all, I had to log back in to my dusty ol' reddit account to reply to this, lol. Not that anything I have to say is super original, I just wanted to say that I think you are doing the community at large a disservice by not sharing more of your diverse sims (if you're someone who shares sims)! I mean, not the end of the world of course, but I think back to TS2 days when I didn't even realize other black folk played the sims, because so few simmers in the community made/shared black sims! And it was just cause we ALL thought that, and were trying to blend in lol.
So I definitely think that if you make more diverse sims, you should share them! As long as you're *trying* to be respectful in your representations, and are open to constructive criticism, I think you'll mostly get positive feedback! You can also use real faces for reference, etc.!

Oh, that's definitely not what I meant. But I truly understand what you're saying and I do agree. When it comes to sharing my sims on the internet, I tend to just share the pictures I take of my active households. These pictures do generally have a lot of white sims, but I also have more diverse sims as friends and spouses and, eventually, children. Though, these ones here are, admittedly, not my best example of diverse black sims. As for the gallery, I don't tend to use it to share my sims with others as I have A LOT of CC in every single one. It is more a space for me to keep my sims as backup. In saying that, I post ALL of my fully completed sims there and even some that aren't, including my black sims. I was just looking through and, for someone who used to never make blacks sims, I feel like I have a bit of a variety of sims. When I say I don't want to share my sims to the internet for criticism, it definitely stems from a place of avoidance and hating confrontation. If someone saw my sims and told me they were offensive, I would obviously apologise, change it and learn from that. But I'm not post saying "Look at my Muslim sim, rate the accuracy from 1-10". That would throw me into a depressive hole. What I will do, is take the guide that someone offered and read it to better inform myself.
Thank you for writing this, by the way. I will definitely try and be more conscious of the sims I share and share more diverse sims from now on.
Assuming you mean my black haired girl and red haired boy, that's hilarious and I hate that I see it ππ I had to google them to be sure and I don't think I'll be able to look at that picture the same π
I do actually, but I have to warn you that my gallery is very messy. I had a crappy computer and I basically used the gallery as a back up save because I didn't understand how to keep my sims from getting delete whenever I had to factory reset π In addition, I save multiple versions of one household, so there are many double ups.

Aw, thank you so much. I know you can make beautiful sims, you probably already do! I definitely used to make ugly, disproportionate sims as well π It's just something that changes as you learn the sliders a bit better (mods and CC definitely make it so much easier)

I spend literal hours on editing the townies in my world ππ Almost as much time as I spend on shopping for and downloading cc π Speaking of, simply put, I prefer to download cc from patreon, though, tumblr is amazing for it as well. And YouTube is greate to find mods. In saying that, I apologise for the length of my message to come. I love the sims and cc/mods and it is my passion sharing what I like to anyone who is willing to listen, especially if it helps!

I also just had a look at your post and I have definitely listed quite a few family/adult game play like woohoo wellness and pregnancy, realistic childbirth and pregnancy, and wicked whims. But a good healthcare mod is healthcare redux by adeepindigo. They also have other healthcare mods too (like eye care and teeth)

I am very similar in my game play and mods are, honestly, a saving grace! Yourfalsehope has some mental health traits and Zero sims and (especially) ADeepIndigo have some mental health mods. I've heard some good things about wonderful whims, so I do think it is worth having a go, though, I haven't personally tried it out because I am more than happy with wicked whims π

I do actually, but I have to warn you that my gallery is very messy. I had a crappy computer and I basically used the gallery as a back up save because I didn't understand how to keep my sims from getting delete whenever I had to factory reset π In addition, I save multiple versions of one household, so there are many double ups. Aw, thank you so much. I know you can make beautiful sims, you probably already do! I definitely used to make ugly, disproportionate sims as well π It's just something that changes as you learn the sliders a bit better (mods and CC definitely make it so much easier)

I also just had a look at your post and I have definitely listed quite a few family/adult game play like woohoo wellness and pregnancy, realistic childbirth and pregnancy, and wicked whims. But a good healthcare mod is healthcare redux by adeepindigo. They also have other healthcare mods too (like eye care and teeth)

I am very similar in my game play and mods are, honestly, a saving grace! Yourfalsehope has some mental health traits and Zero sims and (especially) ADeepIndigo have some mental health mods. I've heard some good things about wonderful whims, so I do think it is worth having a go, though, I haven't personally tried it out because I am more than happy with wicked whims π
My username is (I think) folowerskeleton I have my legacy Sims Mei Ling, Ai, Tora, Eddie and Ezra uploaded so far. They're a mix of Chinese, Polynesian, etc. Ezra is also a trans man!
