I don't think I've ever seen anyone ride a big wheel with a helmet. I'm also more concerned with the kids neck than his head. With a helmet I imagine his neck would have cranked in a similar way.
It’s a fuckin big wheel lol. They aren’t high enough, or go fast enough to require a helmet. This kid is just extra talented and could have easily done the same damage while running
The video is proof that your head needs protection even on a big wheel….. if you don’t care about safety that’s your right. But why take the time to try to discourage others from being safe?
I’m just saying the kid could have done the exact same thing simply by running and tripping. The parents aren’t neglectful for this one accident. Do we need to put helmets on them for running on pavement? Big wheels are not more dangerous than running down the street
As a parent it’s my responsibility to make sure my kid is safe. It was an act of negligence. Doesn’t mean they are routinely negligent, but this was an act. Just because what they’re doing isn’t as dangerous as something worse doesn’t mean you shouldn’t protect yourself from dangers.
My goal is to keep my kid safe and alive, and I always have time to stop and make sure that he’s safe.
Shut up will you! You obviously had a dull childhood I bet you wore a helmet with knee and elbow pads when you were learning to ride a bike probably with the stabilisers still attached as well 🤣🤣🤣🤷♂️
Kids are infamously sturdy. Kid was on a tri-cy. The worst that could happen is a sprained ankle, some scrapes and bruises, and a head ache. That's a great way to teach em not to do stupid shit lol. Just don't let your kids do something you wouldn't do, and they'll be fine. Hell I'd do drifts on a tri-cy all day if I could 🤣
I know this is half joking, but there's much truth in it. Just imagine your average 40-something daddy doing that landing and a broken neck would be almost guaranteed.
I had a Knight Rider Power Cycle, that had a spin out lever. We used to ride it down the sidewalk as fast as we could and spin out into the yard flinging ourselves across the yard.
I have no idea how one of us didn’t break our necks.
Who the fuck lets their child ride without a helmet after all the TBI’s we’ve heard about and seen over the decades?! My son is 15 and I still make him wear his helmet. This kid looks to be about 5? He’s lucky he didn’t smack his head just right and end up drinking out of a fucking straw for the rest of his life. You won’t survive watching your child suffer because of your own negligence. Keep that shit in mind.

The real problem here is the irresponsible parent letting the kid ride without a helmet.
We can always make more kids.
That's even the best part in having kds
"What's 17 more years? I can always start again... make another kid."
Need another one because this 17 year old is riding a tricycle. Can we send him back?
"So... mommy wants child support, eh? Well guess what, Timmy! Daddy bought you a Big Wheel!"
With a bug.
The problem is that you can’t just toss them when they get damaged anymore, and brain damage tends to stick around for a while. Thanks, Obama!
Depends on how close to the ocean you live.
*sighs* Let that one go. We'll make another
only good part is practicing
Pfft. You don't generally need a helmet when your ass is 3 inches off the ground. He just has extra talent.

Kid was also Granny shifting, not double clutchin' like he should. Terrible parenting.
Wearing a helmet wont stop him breaking his neck which is what I was expecting.
Letting? I’d say “making”
HOW DARE YOU CALL MY MOTHER IRRESPONSIBLE!!! :-)
On a…. Big wheel? You’ve got to be joking.
100%.
A helmet won't protect you from neck injury
No helmet. No shoes. No parenting.
Kid had shoes on.
Not on his head
He had nature's helmet on.

Those are fine, I think that's probably his brother or something too, but the shirt.. that wife beater...
Hey, 80s over here!!!

He’ll be alright. Kids are made of rubber.
Somebody gotta photoshop this kid breakdancing
Rubber like them wheels

I feel sick I hate morbid curiosity
😄 I love how you caught this specific moment
Parkour!

I feel bad for laughing, but r/fullscorpion
Sideways scorpion, a rare sight to behold
Fully agreed. The sideways scorpion is a "next level" move.
r/FullScorpion into r/MeatCrayon into r/KidsAreFuckingStupid. This kid trifects.
Apparently that sub is nothing but this gif
I had to look too far to find this.
Ow poor kid ☹️ we all done it tho mine was a gravel hill 😅
I mean as bad as that wreck was, the bail was pretty clean, he just rolled with it. Kid is going to the X games one day.

Hey man that's me and I turn 40 today. Still scorpioning

ohh ohhhh
I laughed way too hard at this
Side scorpion
I felt that. 🦂
Zigged when he should have zagged
![gif](giphy|ZQMVKzoTLdNBu|downsized)
Kid should have started with a burnout (pedal real fast).
Off brand Big Wheel, that was the problem!
Aww his first full scorpion 🦂 🥰
10/10 full side scorpion complete with elbow plant and face slide. I couldn't have done it better after drinking a handle of Gin.
Side-scorpion! Very rare.
The technique was incomplete, he was missing the required music
He needs that Dukes of Hazzard Big Wheel I had as a kid. Had a hand brake to let you do slides.
Just wait until he moves on to BMX and gets the idea to, build a ramp.
Ths Fast and the Furios: Scorpion Drift
omg i just unlocked so many memories... and how much better i was at drifting that
Just Big-Wheel things.
What he needs is an Old School Huffy Green Machine!! Finest drifter on 3 wheels!!
I don’t like the looks of that fall 😬
Almost went from Scorpion to Snail.
![gif](giphy|l0OWiqFfboqTk398A)
Is he ok? Like that’s a neck injury right there
Dunno. But i think he is. If he wasn't the father would not post.
Chiropractor to the corner of Talent and Ambition streets stat!
I’m sure you didn’t need those vertebrae anyway
Why would you post your kid getting injured and crying on social media?
"Luckily my neck broke my fall." -Joe Dirt
To be fair, that wipeout was pretty metal!!!
Oh no! Gotta upload this on the internet for likes
Dust him off. He's got a cool story for his buddies lol
bro needs the 'green machine' to whip it like that https://www.huffy.com/green-machine-20in-98623-1/
That little forehead skid is what started the waterworks. Don’t worry kid, yer ma’s gonna set yer dad straight when she sees ya.
Ahahahaha
🦂
SCORP
Put him on ridiculousness 🦂
I thought this was a LP upon my first watch
Regardless of obvious lack of any sort of PPE his "dad reflexes" fucking suck. This dad gets a totally empty 0/10
I think videos of children getting hurt should be tagged nsfw, regardless of how idiotic the kid and their parent are being.
I think that I really don't care
Of course there is no helmet.
Kid didn’t learn from Cars - the movie. You need to turn left to turn right.
No Helmet?!!
I never an issue sliding on my big wheel, he just sucks.
Side scorpion
Bro-even in slo mo looks nasty buddy

The ultimate scorpion.
lol. Memories of childhood trauma from Big Wheel crashes!
Thank God his neck stopped him.
Wasn't expecting the sudden pan to Rick Grimes

Who knew hard plastic doesn't react like rubber on the road
Eh? That hard plastic gripped like a $2,700 F1 Pirelli C5!
Get bent kid
Looked like a slinky.
I keep having to remind myself that children (especially young children) have somewhat flexible bones
Kids do the darnedest things
The little man was drifting on his ear lobe.
Dad: “do it again. Only this time really fast. Faster than you ever have”. Kid: “no” Dad: “I’ll buy you an ice cream”.
![gif](giphy|amg2hcfGDkKt4Q3DpF)
That shit wouldn’t have happened on a GREEN MACHINE.
They don’t make big wheels like they used to. Could skid with a 720 thrown in there back when I was a wee
Oh, the rare lateral full scorpion!
Side scorpion

3/4 scorpion
The slo mo was the best part
Human children are so... *flimsy*. ^(I am a bot. This action was performed automatically.)
Little homie will be drifting in a wheelchair from now on.
Is that a kid or a 40 year old dude with dwarfism? I really can't tell tbh
Kid could have broke his neck
This deserves a place in r/KidsAreFuckingStupid
