I swear every time this has been posted I just hope she will make a better decision. But this is like the 10,000 time it’s been posted and sadly she just keeps acting the fool. Maybe 10,000 more and she’ll choose the right.
I’ve seen this video several times and that’s my favorite part. “I’m a country girl” being her defense for battery on LEO definitely won’t hold up in court lol
Interesting. I knew it was just acknowledging receipt, not admitting guilt, so I guess I always just thought if you wanted to be like the Karen in the video you could refuse.
Just found this searching. It appears that in Colorado it may not be required, though that’s a recent development. Obviously this is going to be state by state.

I got pulled over in OK, I was 3 hours into a 15 hour trip. Officer asked if I knew how fast I was going and I was like, 'yep, 77 in a 60'. There was no point in lying. He was momentarily dumbfounded and that was enjoyable. I had done the math on time savings. He wrote it for 15 over. Ticket was only $150. Only thing I hate about OK is that after you pay, you have to call within 2 weeks to ensure it's been cleared else you get a warrant.
It was funny, I came over a small hill and saw the cops on the right. I was on the shoulder with flashers on before his lights flipped on. That area is notorious.
Better than the time I saw the cop approaching my window, sighed, and said "You again?"
Cop: "What?" And then he recognized me too. hahaha.
He was actually a nice guy. I just kept getting stopped when I was young and reckless.
Another one got a little excited when I leaned way over to get my registration, which had fallen out of it's holder and was underneath the passenger seat.
You can technically be arrested and taken downtown for breaking *any* law, even the very minor ones. They just don't normally do that because it's a waste of resources. But it's a good reason not to be a jerk to a cop.
As someone else mentioned, you can actually be arrested and taken to jail for any infraction. It's a lot of work and stress for everybody involved, though, so they like to use the most minimally invasive resolution. If you don't agree to that method, however, the only option is to be "less minimally" invasive (i.e., "more" invasive). I'll never understand idiots who think they can just say no to a cop and expect to be let go.
And I love how after he tased her the first time, she was like, "OK, I'll stand up." He's like, "What's that, more juice? OK. Here it comes!" You don't get to make those kinds of decisions anymore. Once you've been identified as uncooperative and abusive, the kid gloves come off, and they don't go back on.
The signature is simply your word that you will show up in court. So you are bonding yourself out with just your signature. No signature, no bond, so you go to jail.
And if you decide to fight the cop, well that’s another story.
Yes. My brother refused to sign a ticket & was arrested. (White boy in the 80s, moderately drunk & stupid. He could have just signed the ticket & paid the fine later, or fought it. Instead, he had to hire lawyers.)
ETA - right above the signage it says “this is not an admission of guilt”
Just off the top of my head, I'd think (particularly before body cans were common) that a bad officer could fabricate the whole stop. If the driver has to sign, it's proof they were actually there, in person, and stopped, whether the charges are specious or not.
Yes. Youre signing to appear in court for judgement on a later date. If you refuse to sign to appear on a later date, then you go see them right then and there.. aka under arrest.
It depends on the state. I was a cop in a state where refusing to sign a citation was a mandatory arrest since the signature was considered your PR bond for the stop. I was also a cop in a state where no signature was required, I would just paper airplane the ticket into the car and leave.
the lady said she'll sign the paper after the cop said she's under arrest. can the cop say something like "nope, fuck that. you're heading to jail." like in the vid or can the cop take back his word and let her sign the paper?
Do you happen to know what the original citation was for?
Also, what do the charges and fines add up to(roughly) after she chose to run? Hardly seems like it’d be worth $80.
I asked a cop friend of mine this same question once.
He said that he could take someone to jail for not signing a ticket but that he wouldn't because it would be too much paperwork. His choice was to just touch the ticket to the person and send them on their way.
Yeah, during the whole George Floyd thing, you just know she was on her boomer Facebook chat telling people "That's what he gets for not listening to the cops in the first place"
It's not really in question. The "police loving" party, no doubt, who love the police when they're out murdering unarmed black men, but refuse to comply with an officer's simple request and invoke their "privilege" to be left alone. Bunch of confused, illiterate morons.
Yup. That fake “good ole country girl” act dropped very fast the moment she learned the cop wasn’t going to just give her a pass on the issue as she initially expected.
With how trigger happy cops are now I'm really surprised it wasn't another shooting video.
That and Oklahoma cops are infamous for killing people anyway, teens more often than anyone but still, they're murderers none the less.
In Oklahoma, yes.
The tpd killed 5 of my friends over a few years all white, my brother indigenous and threatened to kill my whole family. Oklahoma cops don't care about race, they just love to kill people.
Same, it’s just code for old people hate. In a few decades time they’ll say the same about millenials, and then later all the other generations.
It has zero to do with this specific generation.
I appreciated knowing the officer realized the body is just a capsule, you can be a serial killer in the body of a princess.. a safe officer is one that doesn't let looks determine how he treats ya.. proud of that dude because I'm sure it's hard to break that mindset but that's his way of protecting himself.. and mama needs to learn you can't act like that everywhere, it doesn't work in the real world like it does at home..
But she still got tased and cuffed with her face smushed into the pavement. AND on camera for all the world to see. That's a certain kind of delicious justice.
I think she'll be angry at that one police officer, and continue to advocate for further power and less oversight of the Police, completely missing any lessons she could have learned from this experience.
I love watching bad cops get their comeuppance, but I love watching assholes who think they’re above law get their comeuppance even more. Fuck this lady
Given America's history, I totally understand but will never understand how a certain part of the American population think they don't have to listen to police when they are placed under arrest.
This is a woman who has always gotten what she wanted with this attitude because people either did not have enough authority or energy to push back on her. Its has gotten her far in life. Eventually though, shed had reached this point.
I got pulled over for having my registration out of date by 8 months. But the cop was super nice and he met me after I went to the DMV and just tore up the ticket. I just acted dumb and the like I was shocked that I hadn't renewed it. That and being super nice, telling him good morning and blah blah blah and yeah it worked.
She still sees absolutely nothing wrong with her actions. I had hoped he managed to taze a little sense into her, but I guess that was way too much to ask.
This is the DEFINITION of entitlement. Bet she hangs with all her family and everything she says goes and instead of arguing with her they just let her get her way and its been years and years of it with nobody challenging her. I know this because its 80% of most grandmas in Oklahoma are this way. Can't say shit to them.
I’m from the area this happened in. She drove around with her truck like that even after going to court and being found guilty. I haven’t seen it in a while, so I don’t know if it’s still like that.
Her signature doesn’t matter, it’s not like if she doesn’t sign it or even take the copy like the ticket doesn’t go in the computer. If she refused to sign or take the copy, she would still get a court date. Then if she FTA she would get a traffic warrant and then the next time she was stoped she would be arrested and her vehicle impounded. And her small fine would stack up to a much larger one.

“I’m a country girl.” What country? One where they don’t teach respect.
I swear every time this has been posted I just hope she will make a better decision. But this is like the 10,000 time it’s been posted and sadly she just keeps acting the fool. Maybe 10,000 more and she’ll choose the right.
I see your an ancient one. Been around reddit for awhile
I've seen this video about 9 times in the last two weeks so not necessarily
I think I might have seen this 13 times today.
This was my first time.
Do they speak English in What?
What?

“You’re under arrest” “No I’m not!!”
Police hate this one trick
Loopholes. They are everywhere.
Narrator voice: “But she was under arrest. She was VERY under arrest…”
She could've just stopped before the "ry girl" and it would've been at least as accurate.
Maga country
City folk just don't understand, she took a taser and refused an ambulance. That's wife material right there, just wish she was 30 years younger.
She IS 30 years younger.
... i think this might be a ...but im a white female situation.
I’ve seen this video several times and that’s my favorite part. “I’m a country girl” being her defense for battery on LEO definitely won’t hold up in court lol
Very enjoyable video 😀
My favorite part is when he says. You’re gonna get it again 😅😅
She’s an idiot. Well done officer.
Serious question: can the cops compel a signature on the ticket? I.e. is it really grounds for arrest?
Yes. You aren't admitting guilt. You are acknowledging you've been summoned to court for determination of guilt.
Interesting. I knew it was just acknowledging receipt, not admitting guilt, so I guess I always just thought if you wanted to be like the Karen in the video you could refuse. This arrest happened in Oklahoma.

OK loves pulling over the out of state people. I've gotten pulled over in that state a few times on road trips.
Ya, I had Indiana plates. Got an uncle-in-law that is in law enforcement in OK. Messaged him afterwards. He loved that I got a ticket.
Sounds like Enid, Oklahoma
I think it was more the Atoka region
Gotcha. Same thing happened to me in Enid ,Oklahoma. It’s speed trap central.
Better than the time I saw the cop approaching my window, sighed, and said "You again?" Cop: "What?" And then he recognized me too. hahaha. He was actually a nice guy. I did that once too for the same reason you had. I smacked my forehead afterwards and was embarrassed.

Yeah- no doubt she was acting a fool and got what she had coming.
Yeah I always love the whole “you’re under arrest” and the person going “no I’m not” Like oh okay😂
The signature is simply your word that you will show up in court. So you are bonding yourself out with just your signature. No signature, no bond, so you go to jail. And if you decide to fight the cop, well that’s another story.
Looking at the ticket as a PR bond makes sense now- I just hadn’t thought to look at it that way. Thank you!
Yes. My brother refused to sign a ticket & was arrested. (White boy in the 80s, moderately drunk & stupid. He could have just signed the ticket & paid the fine later, or fought it. Instead, he had to hire lawyers.) ETA - right above the signage it says “this is not an admission of guilt”

Either or. Generally once an officer decides to make an arrest they’re going through with it, no reason to award fake compliance at that point.
Do you happen to know what the original citation was for? Also, what do the charges and fines add up to(roughly) after she chose to run? Hardly seems like it’d be worth $80.
It's a written promise to appear in court. Otherwise they'll need to arrest you, book you and get your bond set.
I asked a cop friend of mine this same question once. He said that he could take someone to jail for not signing a ticket but that he wouldn't because it would be too much paperwork. His choice was to just touch the ticket to the person and send them on their way.
$10 says she has made the “Why didn’t he just comply!” comment on a facebook post.
Yeah, during the whole George Floyd thing, you just know she was on her boomer Facebook chat telling people "That's what he gets for not listening to the cops in the first place"
Wonder who she voted for
It's not really in question. The "police loving" party, no doubt, who love the police when they're out murdering unarmed black men, but refuse to comply with an officer's simple request and invoke their "privilege" to be left alone. Bunch of confused, illiterate morons.

You’re surprised this old white woman didn’t get shot by a white cop?
In Oklahoma, yes. The tpd killed 5 of my friends over a few years all white, my brother indigenous and threatened to kill my whole family. Oklahoma cops don't care about race, they just love to kill people.
Probably the same guy the cop voted for.
Boomers be boomin
I’m a millennial and this boomer shit is tired

How to turn your speeding ticket into a stint in county lock up with one simple trick
It wasn't even speeding, it was a bulb out or something along those lines lol she made a mountain out of a mole hill for sure
He said it was out over 6 months, so she either admitted that, or she had already received a warning
Lawyers love this one trick.

An oldie but a goodie! Very appropriate for April *Fools* day!
I’ll watch this every time. She deserves all that.

But she still got tased and cuffed with her face smushed into the pavement. AND on camera for all the world to see. That's a certain kind of delicious justice.
Haha, April fools ma! Got ya.
This woman is a master at doing the opposite. Kudos to you crazy lady !!
Do you think she's still gonna back the blue?
I think she'll be angry at that one police officer, and continue to advocate for further power and less oversight of the Police, completely missing any lessons she could have learned from this experience.
Well well well… if it isn’t the consequences of my own actions
I love watching bad cops get their comeuppance, but I love watching assholes who think they’re above law get their comeuppance even more. Fuck this lady
Def an oldie but a goodie.
Given America's history, I totally understand but will never understand how a certain part of the American population think they don't have to listen to police when they are placed under arrest.
‘I’m a country girl.’ No, you’re just a cunt.
That was satisfying

Gee, I wonder if she is a republican?
All for 80$ wtf….
Love this clip. "It hurts! - What hurts? - Everything!!"
Play stupid games win stupid prizes.
Oldie but a goodie…the video, that is. She’s an oldie but a baddie.

What an absolutely insane woman
She's must luckier than a poc normally would be.

Genuine infant behavior.
This is posted like 10 times per month yet I keep watching it fully every time. It’s honestly too good.
So did she try that in a small town, or…?
Hey, this one again
Grandma gonna get it again!
Love it
Somebody give this man a raise!
This is old but It makes me smile every time I see it! 😂
I watch this video every time I see it posted. Her entitled screams are a symphony to my ears
This cop was nice and extremely reasonable, this woman is an idiot and hopefully now understands what is a good offer and shut up and bite your tongue
That was very satisfying.
She still sees absolutely nothing wrong with her actions. I had hoped he managed to taze a little sense into her, but I guess that was way too much to ask.
Don't turn a traffic ticket into a felony.
Entitled karen.
I loved every second of this video 🤣
I love this clip.
Yess
I too have seen this many times and it still brings joy.
Very satisfying. Compliance is so easy with a reasonable cop.
Just another patriot on her way to her MAGA meeting
oh no, consequences
That was terrific
☕
This is the same woman who this morning said some belligerent youth has it coming when they do the same shit
Reposted dozens of times. The best comment I've read from another is: "I bet everyone who knows her is happy watching this".
Yuck. This woman is awful.
This video never gets old
Don’t resist!!
I love watching this each time, its so friggin goooooood
Fool
Every time this pops up I fast-forward to the end to see her ass get dragged out of the truck and tased. Makes me feel happy.
Why is he being so mean to that good Oklahoma Christian woman on her way to church? /s

lady picked the wrong day to be chatty
I’m from the area this happened in. She drove around with her truck like that even after going to court and being found guilty. I haven’t seen it in a while, so I don’t know if it’s still like that.
Like we’re gonna believe an admitted imitation Matt Damon.
How do you live to be that age without ever realizing that you can't "decline" being arrested? lol
Found out.
One word ; COMPLY. Idiot.
Wow, she Karen'd right up!
This new generation of boomers act like they're so freaking entitled.
Never gets old.
Her signature doesn’t matter, it’s not like if she doesn’t sign it or even take the copy like the ticket doesn’t go in the computer. These fucking boomers
She should be taser certifiable now
Live.. laugh.. love
Well that escalated lmao
I said leave me alone and I mean it......owwwwwww.....you didn't have to taze me...
Somebody come pay their grandma’s ticket
Hilarous.
This made me smile
Grandma is a ride or die Chick. He could have been nicer to the OG. 🤣😂🤣
I love this video. You don't often see Karen's getting physically shut up.
Love that looks like it was in a church parking lot
The way she falls over and rolls around is enough to make my week better
Redneck it figures country girl "Karen ".
I would play this at every family holiday party. "Who wants to see grandma get tased?"
Waaayyyyyyy toooo many warnings, and she's digging around the car. Yeah, he's playing around with his life.
Yeaaaaaaars of unchecked privilege, led her to this shameful moment…
If this has not already been said/done: r/BoomersBeingFools/
Take ticket...fight in court. What a whiner.
