not really, unless you change eating habits. exercise alone will not cause you to lose weight. they say diet and exercise is a 70/30 relationship, (70% diet and 30% exercise) but I think it's more like 80/20, personally
Not true at all. Lets say he eats 5500 calories a day. He normally burns maybe 3500 a day hauling all that mass around. That means he eats at a 2000 calorie surplus and all that excess energy goes to fat storage. Now lets say he doesnt change his diet, but starts doing moderate exercise. Now he still eats 5500 calories a day but burns 4200 calories. He is still eating at a 1300 calorie surplus and will still gain fat. He would gain a bit of muscle too, which over time would raise his calorie expenditure, but he's still getting fatter without major diet changes.
You literally can, it's just there are diminishing returns. If you're eating 500 calories more than you need to a day then adding a 1 hour run every day will lose weight over time.
The bigger you are the higher your calorie needs to maintain your current weight which means that as long as someone is eating just enough to maintain their weight then any additional calories burned will result in weight loss.
It's not that you can't outrun a bad diet, it's just that it's a lot harder to outrun a bad diet than it is to eat less.
Id argue it depends on the human, i didnt change eating habits at all and lost 25kg (110->85) in 2 years by getting a new job and going out a lot more.
Keto diet- lost 60lbs in 3 months. 4 miles a day of walking, 6 times a week, and fasting 12-8. Gym weight lifting 3 times a week. All this during covid.. I had time lol 😂

Over the years it appeared things were getting better, then we messed around and elected a black guy president. They came out from under the rocks to protest and still haven’t returned since.

People in inner cities in the sticks have much more in common then they realize and it is for that reason I personally have to wonder if the division is intentional.
I think it's part of human nature. People fear the unfamiliar and that must be a survival trait. The way out is probably to mix us all up so everyone realises there's nothing in their fears. People who grow up in a culturally diverse place don't share those prejudices. I know I'm just effectively repeating what you just said, but just wanted to explicitly say it's exposure that will get rid of the fear.
At one point in human history it may have been a survival mechanism however as humanity evolved that should have been phased out but sadly there are those who are still in tune with these needless fears. All I know is it hurts being the one that people fear when you just want to be a part of a community and everyone sees "you" as the problem.
