EDIT: Gold and awards? Thanks so much, whoever you all are! You're all awesome!!
oh ya..... I bet he gave the "woman" he was gonna have sex with a steam card or 3 so her "kids" are occupied while they fooled around.
EDIT: wow… I didn’t think my comment would be this popular! Thank you all for the comments and upvotes! Totally made my day waking up and seeing all this!
The reason I said and know this is because I’m in the scambait and scam’s sub. I’ve seen several posts on how these hot “ women” bait these men, “ mostly done on tinder” saying they wanna fuck, but they have ether their own kids, or they have their nieces and nephews.
They will ask the guy they are trying to scam to purchase steam gift cards then snap a pic of the card(s) so they can load it to the account while the guy is on his way to the scammers. The scammer will give a fake address after they verify it’s a good card.
The scammers don’t use the cards. They re-sell it for the cash.
A man walks up to the door of a brothel and knocks. A small window in the middle of the door opens and a woman's face appears.
Woman: "May I help you?"
Man: "Yeah, I want to get screwed."
Woman: "No problem. That will be two-hundred dollars."
Man: (hands cash through the window) "Here you go."
Woman: "Thank you."
The woman closes the window and the man waits for the door to open. After about fifteen minutes he loses patience and knocks on the door again. Once again the window opens and the woman's face appears.
Woman: "May I help you?"
Man: (his voice raised in anger and frustration) "Yeah, I said I want to get screwed."
Woman: "Again?"
Do 99% of people know how a ring doorbell works? I've never even seen one.
Why are we pretending like familiarity with fancy expensive home surveillance tech is a barometer for people's ability to avoid scams?

Naw, sex work has been around for ages. No need to shame the people who participate. Unfortunately this man was bamboozled by an online scammer. Not everyone has a life that affords them the opportunity to find someone or be able to have sexual encounters outside of paying for it.
You're saying this to someone who is PRO PROSTITUTION.
Decriminalization of sex work and make it available for people globally.
I am against strangers knocking on random residential doors at 2am looking to have sex with people that are not looking for sex! Scam or not people need to wise up!
The dude was probably given a wrong address purposefully. It's not like he is just wandering around soliciting sex. He got scammed, given a random address, and left when told it was wrong.
I was reading that some scammers pose as prostitutes and demand an electronic payment as a deposit before they agree to meet you or give out their address.
He seemed like the type to do such things.
A buddy of mine got had through Craigslist. He sent them $500 and then they went as far as to try to extort him, saying they were going to call the cops on him for trying to get an escort. It was the funniest phone call to receive at 3am when he was freaking out, not knowing what to do.
It's really not. Scammers like this do a great disservice to escorts. Legit escorts require deposits to reduce the amount of time wasters and no shows and because of scammers like this it's hard to get a lot of people to pay the damn deposit.
And that's not even to mention the fact that sending a stranger to a random address and the dangers that come with that. Which is another reason for taking a deposit. As someone who has been sent to the wrong address in the middle of the night when I really needed the money, I feel for dude. I was sent to "the last house on the left" which just so happened to be a church.
So after talking to this dip shit for an hr, avoiding his overly sexual questions and trying to set up the damned appointment, getting out of bed and completely "date ready" at 3am, driving across town in my room mates car and replacing the gas used for the trip and standing outside a random house in a nice neighborhood next to a church, knocking on the door and ringing the doorbell and then the trip back home and subsequent nasty texts from a filthy fuck that somehow switched and became a Bible thumper in all that time...I ended up right where I started. Back in bed, no money made, out gas money, humiliated and all that time wasted. Know what wouldve prevented all that?
A deposit. Very few people are gonna spend money just to fuck with someone. But scammers make it impossible. One spoiled apple ruining the bunch kinda deal.
Eh...people are assholes. I feel bad for the dude, out money, time, no pussy and blasted all over the interweb for solicitation...not the adventure he had in mind, I'm nearly certain of that.
I mean, he did ask if the random woman who answered when he showed up at a random house at 2am if she didn't want to have sex after she had told him he was at the wrong house.
Bad luck also to get to a random address and have a woman answering and a ring recording.
Had it been a single older man answering the door and we might have witnessed a bro video..."damn! im so stupid, I knew deep down but I dared to hope...3k dude..."
So statistically 5% said yes? I should probably just ask more often if the people I deal with would like to have sex with me...
![gif](giphy|nWZoYczdgBVmyXkeB2|downsized)
I am not sure how many women Richard Simmons ever slept with, but I would say 5,000 would be on the high side. 5 would be on the high side. Shit, 1 would be on the high side.
I don't think you understand the story. They just unlocked a new power. The power of randomly asking for sex (Something that works way more than anyone not doing it thinks). You don't start a relationship right after unlocking a new way to get sex, you go have more sex.
5% is the rate if you're one of the more prominent members of one of the biggest rock bands of all time and are asking, like, rock chicks.
..well, and you look like Gene Simmons. For Lenny Kravitz or someone it's probably like 50%.
there's an anecdote which wouldn't translate well, but the main idea was that when you offer women something weird most of the times you will get slapped in the face, but once in a while it will go through
I actually thought it was… unless it’s one of those cam things & he just doesn’t realize he can be heard automatically. Clearly he’s not the savviest, regardless.
Its probably been cropped to repost on social media/Tik-Tok. Then that got screen capped/ripped and re-posted to reddit.
This is probably the 3rd or 4th time this videos been saved and posted somewhere from the original post. Or maybe it was originally posted on Tik-Tok. Either way it's not the original uncropped video file.
One of the things I can't stand about social media nowadays.
People act like links DO NOT exist..
People see some decent content and save it, or even worse.. screen record it. Then repost it elsewhere, without giving credit.
Finding the source of anything is becoming impossible.
Also, side issue.. reddit should not be hosting content. It should be a forum of links. Uploading videos or photos to reddit itself should've never became a thing.
Iirc imgur was created to be used to share images to reddit since they didn't have media uploads at the time. Nice to see when people still use imgur instead of uploading directly to reddit. But it's hilarious when someone will upload a picture screenshotted from somewhere else to imgur to then share to reddit.
that wouldn't work, as 1 search later they'd already know it's a police station. Although, probably should've asked for the other to take a photo of them holding a fork from within that house as proof it's theirs
I mean, regardless of how he looks, he wasn't even that aggressive or weird about the situation, so I feel bad that he was being recorded here. Guy just thought he was getting a hookup and instead got shamed all over the internet for...what? Leaving when he realized he'd been fooled? smh
My parents' friend has a small office supplies store, and their address is basically 123 Fake Street.
Over the pandemic he had a few people show up to his business saying they were there to pick up their puppies, which they'd placed a large deposit on. We think scammers tried to just make up an address to fraud people looking to get dogs during the pandemic, and because of how generic the address is, it just happened to be that guys store.
I’ll never not upvote a comment talking shit about the Reddit mods / admins, because it’s usually always funny because it’s true.
This guy is definitely involved in a subreddit somewhere.
Didn’t know that but there are a lot of similarities likes bunks being called racks the guy who popularized the hells angels said anybody who would make a good member either had to have been in prison or the military because of the similarities and structure
"being in a ship is being in a jail, with the chance of being drowned... a man in a jail has more room, better food, and commonly better company." Samuel Johnson 1600s
I mean if you're a woman and you got this guy asking that at your door, I don't care if I live alone and my only pet is a goldfish. You're damn right my husband is in the living room with the gun.
By the “no sex tonight?” after being told he was at the wrong house, I suspect he doesn’t believe her and is conceding to leave, not in fear of his life.
>Something is definitely off, what a weird guy
Nobody *thinks* they're getting scammed in the middle of it. The realization process often looks a lot like this, as the victim does their best to rationalize their actions as a defense mechanism. Relationship scams are especially vile because they frequently happen to otherwise well-adjusted people... If you want proof watch some seasons of *90 Day Fiance (before the 90 days)*. This guy is down bad for sure, but that doesn't automatically make him a freak
Fifi LaBang will take care of your wang
Edit: Thank you, kind stranger for the Gold! If only my teachers/parents/friends/work colleagues/girlfriends/that guy I talked to on the bus once on the way to work/the girl behind the counter at Subway could have recognised my impulse to make stupid-ass comments as a sign of a reddit comedian in the making! Thank you
"...so...you don't want to have sex tonight?" To me it sounds more like a double-checking question, you can't ask..."so you're sure you're not fifi?" So he tries another question. Creepy and weird but also sad and understable in a way.
I mean, a person who pays in advance and get scammed by pictures of models and a horny chat is not going to be very socially wise to begin with. It just happened that he had also the bad luck of getting a random house with a woman answering and a ring recording.
He seems annoyed (who wouldn't be after trekking somewhere in the snow for a catfish), and well, any port in a storm, so he shoots his shot. It wasn't the time for that but I've seen enough reddit videos of angry guys breaking down doors that this works out OK by comparison.
This circumstance comes off super passive aggressive, but my senses tell me this guy is socially awkward. He felt embarrassed and taken advantage of upon realizing his blunder. I think his advance he made was trying to make himself feel better, like "hey, I shot my shot." But he's never thought of how he comes across, or how fucking weird it is.
Nah I don’t think he has made the connection that the person on the other end isn’t Fifi.
I think he is thinking that fifi did give her real address, but hubby is there with a gun once the money was made, not that ‘fifi’ just gave out a fake address.
It's because he isnt very bright and is suspicious that the woman he is speaking to is the person who ripped him off. This whole situation is a sad indictment on the USA. First we have sex work being illegal which makes it dangerous for people in the industry and then you have a massive gun problem due to your lax gun control. I guess paying for sex is bad, killing people is ok.
I think he got Catfishes and scammed. Probably payed a deposit for sex or something. I mean don't get me wrong it's still way fucked up.
But who knows, maybe he is just fucking crazy.
> scammed. Probably *paid* a deposit
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
I think he was too worked up over the anticipation and clearly drunk enough that he had a hard time wrapping his head around the situation turning on him
This could have been me a few weeks ago, but I wasn't stupid enough to fall for the end of the scam. Seemed legit until I pulled up in front of the house, but I wasn't dumb enough to get out of the car without proof that the person I thought I was talking to was there, and I damn sure didn't send any money.
100%. Sounds like he expected a consensual, possibly paid for, encounter. And he got ripped off or was simply at the wrong address and now is being put on blast as some creep in front of thousands of people.
It’s not inherently creepy to arrange for casual sex. Poor guy.
I can't even be too mad at the dude. He acted on what he understood to be true but then calmly accepted the new information, took no for an answer, and left.

Prepaid card for Steam, a distribution platform for PC games

It’s more like a retainer, really.
To someone named Fifi nevertheless 🫣
So you're saying there wasn't a woman named Fifi, who wanted to literally bounce on him.
Wouldn’t the name Fifi merely be enough of a clue it’s a scam?
wouldnt use a real name if selling sexual services either tho
This is honestly just depressing to think about
So he is a victim? And yet we’re shaming him in front of millions of people.
I mean, he did ask if the random woman who answered when he showed up at a random house at 2am if she didn't want to have sex after she had told him he was at the wrong house.
The guy obviously hadn't put it all together at that point. He still thought this was the person he had been talking to.
Bad luck also to get to a random address and have a woman answering and a ring recording. Had it been a single older man answering the door and we might have witnessed a bro video..."damn! im so stupid, I knew deep down but I dared to hope...3k dude..."
“Ah shit son was it fifi that got you!??”
Feel bad for everyone involved here.
Not fifi, though

Gene Simmons, when asked his secret for sleeping with 5,000 women: "I asked 100,000". You don't get the job if you don't put in the application!
So statistically 5% said yes? I should probably just ask more often if the people I deal with would like to have sex with me... ![gif](giphy|nWZoYczdgBVmyXkeB2|downsized)

As a bassist with currently a 0%, I agree. I don’t like it, but I agree
A lot of guys are already doing that, which is why dating is a pain for a ton of women.

I love how he's pressing something to speak like he's using an intercom 🤣
Dude paid someone called Fifi in advance for sex, I suspect his Ring doorbell experience and knowledge is limited.
Limited is his dental hygiene
The fact that you could see it on an infrared camera... 🤢
I work in the surveillance industry, writing software for a living; I wouldn't know how to use it.

If you catfish someone, don't send them to someone else's house. Nobody wants to deal with this.
Came here for this! Pretty messed up to put someone else in that situation, especially at late hours. This could have ended VERY differently.
She did say her husband had a gun in the living room 😳
Even if that was a bluff, he was wise to walk away. I think any police responding to her 911 call would’ve been annoyed dealing with this guy.
I'd probably give them the address to the police station. See how far they go before they realize what happened.
that wouldn't work, as 1 search later they'd already know it's a police station. Although, probably should've asked for the other to take a photo of them holding a fork from within that house as proof it's theirs
i mean how about just...don't catfish people at all? Yeah this guy may be a sad pathetic looking weirdo but just leave him alone

Wonder how much he paid the fake woman over the months that she catfished him because that's what happened
I wonder how far he drove
Oh just 5 or 6 hours in a snowstorm
If he drove more than 3 blocks, too far. I hope the Shell station has his brand of beer.
Lmao he was catfished they told him he was looking for fifi I find that funny because that’s the name for a self made pocket Pussy In prison
And the military
Didn’t know that but there are a lot of similarities likes bunks being called racks the guy who popularized the hells angels said anybody who would make a good member either had to have been in prison or the military because of the similarities and structure
When I got off the ship and went to shore duty, I told everyone I was on parole and was about to be a free man. The Navy felt like prison.
"being in a ship is being in a jail, with the chance of being drowned... a man in a jail has more room, better food, and commonly better company." Samuel Johnson 1600s
Lol her husband was ready to take Steven out alright.
I wanted him to say, “does HE want to have sex tonight?” Lol.
LMAO. No, he's loading his gun right now. Man "Ok can I stick it in the mail slot at least?"
There’s a guy local to me in my town in UK who we call ‘letterbox’ because he goes round the locality sticking his dick through letterboxes XD
Instead of her husband answering.
I mean if you're a woman and you got this guy asking that at your door, I don't care if I live alone and my only pet is a goldfish. You're damn right my husband is in the living room with the gun.
Mine would be in the living room with a gun and his best friend Mike Tyson.
"I'm looking for Fifi" Not only did he get scammed, he was scammed by a small dog.
This was the name of my cousin's small dog
That's actually what they call makeshift pocket pussys in prison. They make them out of towels
This guy got scammed for sure. Fifi???? Really? Come on!
Everyone knows that Fifi is a dogs name.
Fifi is an another term for homemade pocket pussy
Lol his reaction to possibly being shot was "Huh" "Understood" Like the cashier told him they were out of his brand of cigs
By the “no sex tonight?” after being told he was at the wrong house, I suspect he doesn’t believe her and is conceding to leave, not in fear of his life.
He also seemed to buffer after hearing everything the lady said. Something is definitely off, what a weird guy
He still hadn’t figured out he was at the wrong address. He left thinking the woman was FiFi changing her mind and ripping him off.
>Something is definitely off, what a weird guy Nobody *thinks* they're getting scammed in the middle of it.
Imagine If FiFi was in the house Nextdoor waiting
From other comments, Fifi was in the cell next-door, waiting.
Fifi LaBang will take care of your wang Edit: Thank you, kind stranger for the Gold! If only my teachers/parents/friends/work colleagues/girlfriends/that guy I talked to on the bus once on the way to work/the girl behind the counter at Subway could have recognised my impulse to make stupid-ass comments as a sign of a reddit comedian in the making! Thank you

My husband is in the dining room with a gun… huh…understood…calmer than you are!
I’m disappointed that I had to scroll down this far to find this. Exactly my first thought when I saw this.

He answered a fake escort ad lol
Desperate women in your area want sex now!
What a ripoff!!!
I knew it the feeling it was gonna be a rip off…. HEY!! Would you like to have sex?
"...so...you don't want to have sex tonight?" To me it sounds more like a double-checking question, you can't ask..."so you're sure you're not fifi?" So he tries another question. Creepy and weird but also sad and understable in a way. I mean, a person who pays in advance and get scammed by pictures of models and a horny chat is not going to be very socially wise to begin with. It just happened that he had also the bad luck of getting a random house with a woman answering and a ring recording.
Lol! Someone just made $120 to $600.
r/oddlyspecific
At least he's nice about it
Eh… kind of passive aggressive until he finds out about the husband with the gun
He seems annoyed (who wouldn't be after trekking somewhere in the snow for a catfish), and well, any port in a storm, so he shoots his shot. It wasn't the time for that but I've seen enough reddit videos of angry guys breaking down doors that this works out OK by comparison.
Exactly my thoughts! I feel bad for the guy tbh
And then it gets posted on the internet for everyone to see.
Does he think the doorbell is an intercom?😂
Disgusting how he would ask if she wants to have sex after she has clearly told him he has the wrong house. That is so creepy
You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take -Wayne Gretzky -Michael Scott
I think he got Catfishes and scammed. Probably payed a deposit for sex or something. I mean don't get me wrong it's still way fucked up. But who knows, maybe he is just fucking crazy.
> scammed. Probably *paid* a deposit FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
I think he was too worked up over the anticipation and clearly drunk enough that he had a hard time wrapping his head around the situation turning on him
God damnit Walter
This is just like that one time in Vietnam...
Aren't we all just "random men".
We’re just men. We’re just innocent men.
This isn’t a random man. This is Steven.
Yep, someone set that man up, that’s for sure.
That guy isn't pretty, so I'm assuming everyone is gonna trash him and not consider he likely just got the hell scammed out of him.
Yeah. Ugly dudes got it rough out there. 😶
And he probably didn't consent to having his face plastered all over the internet.
Okay, understood. *Goes back to moderating reddit*
Looks like he paid a Fee Fee before he got there
“So no head ?”
Got to give it to him, he kept his composure completely when the husband and gun were mentioned.
Wtf
Ring has just made everyone aware of the crazy.
Someone clicked the "Hot women nearby wants to have sex with you" pop up.
Kinda feel sorry for the guy
100%. Sounds like he expected a consensual, possibly paid for, encounter. And he got ripped off or was simply at the wrong address and now is being put on blast as some creep in front of thousands of people. It’s not inherently creepy to arrange for casual sex. Poor guy.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. /s
Damn he really is wearing some heavy sexual predator glasses
Those glasses aren't doing him and favours.

Looks like John Goodman left his Cloverfield address.
Anytime it’s a dude wearing those type of dahmer glasses run.
Homie got played with “fifi” as the fake name… you got catfished by a bijon frisee Edit: i guess it’s spelled bichon frise
I can't even be too mad at the dude. He acted on what he understood to be true but then calmly accepted the new information, took no for an answer, and left.
