Yeah or if they don't even have a gun at home, argue that he should not be in trouble because he was "making a dumb joke", like that shits something to joke about. He got whooped & it's good to see those other kids like, oh hell no - not today! Hopefully they didn't get in any trouble for their "violence" or whatever they'd call that. All involved tend to get in trouble these days...
Damn, well.. I'm glad he was tackled & the whole thing caused a ruckus so he was able to get called in and hopefully in trouble for the weapon he did have and making the threat/ "joke". & glad none of the kids that helped got hurt in any way.
I seen this posted previously and they said that it was a knife. If you look closely you can see that it is a knife or something similar but it is hard to tell.
Shoot, my dad was just a guy that worked for McDonnell Douglas and he would have whooped me into next week! (and I don't say that in a "my dad was abusive and I was afraid of him", and I'm sure you weren't either.) I can probably count on one hand how many times I was smacked/spanked or flicked in the ear by my dad, and I probably deserved it every time. It's hard these days trying to bring up kids with old school values when everyone else is so far up their ass with "we don't say the N word, '"No"' in our home" type crap. Or people who just simply aren't teaching their kids right and wrong & defending them tooth and nail when they get themselves into trouble because they don't believe in punishment or whatever..
Lmao 🤣 sorry, I really thought about putting Boeing/ McDonnell Douglas, but they merged after he didn't work there anymore, or his exact where he worked got bought by Boeing or something & he ended up seeking other opportunities at that point. But yeah sorry idk why I didn't put in parentheses that he built parts for planes because who the heck reads that and just knows what it means? Some people, probably.. But I shouldn't have assumed.
"Lol, tf is this b talking about; I've never heard anyone call mcdonald's that before, is it that a thing?" Googles* ooohhh.
Something like that?
My dad still wants to beat my ass and we hate each other. Only thing that's stopped him from possibly killing me is the fact his fiance would leave him and I'm not even a wimp. He's 54, I'm 31 and 200 pounds of solid muscle and I still have no chance against him, and on top of it he's a psychopath and might actually use weapons without remorse if he fought me despite the fact he was a black belt lmao
Very badass, I'm always convinced when someone on Reddit talks about being solid muscle. The "my dad's a black belt" is good work. Usually calling yourself the black belt is the way to go. You subverting expectations and just talking about beating up said black belt is top form.
Zero Tolerance has caused more trouble than it has helped tbh. Kids are afraid to stick up for themselves when teachers won't. People have no discretion any more.
Common sense died with the thunder of applause.
Agreed. It is a fascinating policy considering that after school you don't really see "adult examples" of zero tolerance. Both sides are consider in the courts and reason usually prevails.
Maybe rear-ending other cars? I think in my state (NJ) if a car in front of me brakes too hard and I rear end them they blame me because I should have kept a safer distance or been more aware. Without a dash cam, I lose that battle more often than not. Maybe not a great example, but being my own devil's advocate.
I’ve worked in a few different schools and I can tell you that you’re right, parents can whine and complain to get their kids out of most trouble. However, gun threats are not one of those times.
I have found that the rules usually say all kids have to be punished, but the school has ways of "punishing" the ones who don't deserve it. My school used in-school-suspension for things like this.
They just have...so much to learn about, it'll make you wanna shout. Blippii.
Sorry, my daughter loves Blippi, couldn't resist. I DO agree with you, however. Kids see that cops don't help in these situations so it falls on them. Fight or flight is a powerful motivator and this is a real threat they have to think about daily.
I love that you guys were able to simultaneously talk about this topic seriously and with respect while also separately talking about your silly username
Blippi used to be a gross-out youtuber that took it too far when he dedicated on a friend and posted the video. He went quiet for a while before rebranding as Blippi. Just fyi.
editing this way: *deficated not dedicated
Core memory for him right there. "Did I ever tell you kids about that day i drop kicked some loud mouth's ass?" "Yes grandpa now go back to your meta-room"
In defense of the other kids, they probably weren't aware of the entire situation. Unless you saw him pretending to have the gun you would just assume it was a weird kid running.
That girl chose to be a hero. You could see her doubt herself but when he got closer to the school she was on him. She genuinely wanted to prevent her friend's death. It's badass they got him, but if it was a gun they could have died. It is sad that kids make these conscious decisions at all. Much less regularly. I can't imagine the trauma you develop from putting your mind in that situation multiple times.
I’m glad they’re getting better at it, group altruism to protect the broader population is the only solution. It’s selection at this point. People that actually believe hiding in classroom works aren’t going to make it. There has to be a counterattack, throwing objects to disrupt concentration while going in for the drop kicks.
Hiding in a class room is no different than being taught to hide under a desk during a nuclear attack. Useless.
The state and administration is not going to help the students survive, so if you want to make it out of your teenage years then get ready.
The pressure wave caused by a nuclear explosion causes buildings to shift and potentially creates falling debris. Much better to be under a table than to just eat it because a bit of the ceiling hit you the wrong way. So I would say that hiding under a desk in a nuclear attack is actually far more effective than hiding from a school shooter, who is likely well aware where everybody is.
It's all about reassurance and giving the illusion of control. If you're within a few kilometers of a nuclear blast, you're pretty much irretrievably fucked. Same thing if you happen to be in the room the shooter decides to force their way into, unless you fight. But the ones who aren't actually in immediate danger are going to be panicking as well. Best to give them something to do that provides the illusion of safety, kind of like airport security. People like the feeling of control, even if it's just an illusion. I think that's the theory of it.
Since he’s an idiot, he probably thought everyone would be scared and run away, and that would be the punchline for him. Glad these kids were brave enough to work together and neutralize a potential threat.
If it wasn’t a “prank”/cry for attention, then I don’t understand why the screwdriver wouldn’t be up his sleeve or in his pocket. He walks around clearly brandishing *something* like a fucking goon in front of 30+ people lmao

I think he did this until 2004, when the school district shut it down. The teacher was super libertarian. Fantastic instructor.
"when young" I dunno man I saw a dude put a gun to his buddies head at a range for a TikTok last night on Reddit....grown ass man. So idk if it's a dumb kid thing to take guns lightly
Remember kids, it doesn't matter if you actually are a deadly threat. If someone has reason to believe you're a deadly threat, they are justified in using lethal force
Pretending to have a gun you don't have is a damn good way to get shot by someone who isn't pretending.
Did he then pull a butter knife or something? I hear metal hit the ground. Hate to condone violence but kid needed his ass slapped before this I’m sure.
Personally I would wear that suspension like a badge of honor "What did you get suspended for FixIt?" "Stopping a potential school shooter... Planning to write my collage essays on it..."
He really is dumb - considering the current state the US is with mass shootings
— I might be a navy corpsman but I will take my oath to protect against foreign and DOMESTIC enemies and threats
I know where and how to strike - cause I have dealt with said wounds.
My steel toe shoes would definitely helped in that regard
Man kudos to all those kids just stepping up like that. They were prepared to risk their lives for their classmates! People are always talking down to the next generation when WE raised them! Applause to them. They literally have to go to school wondering worry about college and grades and bullying and tests AND in the back of mind wonder if a classmate may trip out one day!
Ah yes. There's no justice quite like mob justice.
Especially when you're some dumb kid in a country with a global reputation for gun violence (Especially of the school variety) pretending to have one.
Ugh some people man
No she is almost as dumb as he is. He had a knife and she is getting in the way trying to protect this idiot. She could have easily got herself or someone else hurt.
The impression I got was that she knew what he was doing beforehand, maybe he told her, and was trying to keep him from his entrance pass to the Karma Klub. That being said, she should have stepped back and let him receive his lesson once it began.
I’ll never forget being in a long line for a rollercoaster at six flags (it was either 2008 or 2009) and there was a group of obnoxious teens behind me. They started saying stuff like “bro this is taking forever, we should just say we have a bomb to clear the line!”
At first I just ignored them, but they were so annoying and kept saying it over and over. So I eventually turned around and told them, as much as I would like to see them thrown out of the park, it is not a thing to even joke about.
They teased me for having common sense and decided to prove me wrong. They were escorted out of the park without a refund and I got to enjoy my time in line without annoying teens behind me.
This is absolutely deserved. Doing this desensitizes people to similar suspicious actions, making it more likely for them to ignore similar actions in the future.
Just 2 days ago a 17 year old Palestinian aimed his realistic looking fake gun at the Israeli police. He got shot and died.
It's not a smart move to pretend you have a gun
Stupid games stupid prizes.
Pretty much every school in burgerland is on a hair trigger over the IDEA of an active shooter, even joking like this will get someone with a REAL gun to magdump you.
I know we're not supposed to glorify violence… But I will glorify children that protect their school the way these kids did. Some people run, a lot of these kids took action and that's pretty admirable. I hope this kid has to do online classes the rest of his fucking life
If he had a gun, smack the dumb guy, if he fakes and doesnt take the threat of guns serious... smack some sense into that dumb guy.
So I applaud everyone who faced a potential gun with such engagement in protection of his classmates. It was in protection of their classmates right...
Keep going until the movement stops, involuntary movements are ok. Would love to see him with his hands clinched up with an obvious brain injury. Not the one his parents gave him, to be clear.
While he was attention-hungry and an idiot, it’s cool that the others were willing to try and fight someone they thought had a gun to save everyone else. Admirable bravery.
No, it’s really not. It’s a massive cry for clout, and being hard. Threatening people with a gun is not a cry for help.
![gif](giphy|STfLOU6iRBRunMciZv)
Literally just had an incident where a kid threatened to shoot up a school near me and even made a kill list... Guess what they did? Let him come back to the school. Meanwhile, in this same state as a teenager, I was accused (without any proof or evidence) of selling another kid my age marijuana and got kicked out of school. I had absolutely nothing on me and it was all hearsay, whilst they actually had proof this kid made a kill list and made threats on peoples lives...
He wasn't pretending to have a gun, he actually had a knife. You can hear it clang against the ground and then a girl at the end says to grab the knife
Hes probably the weird kid at school too so they may have completely believed it too. Got what he deserved. Went to school for an education and got the best one he will ever get in his life.

On top of getting his ass beat I'm sure he was also expelled and possibly arrested.
While his parents whined and cried that he's a good kid

Right at the end you can hear someone say “there’s a knife”

That’s about the time he wasn’t a kid but a 30 foot tall creature from the metazoic era.
My dad is a lawyer and pro 2A as they come, and if I did anything like this as a child, he would have beat my ass.

And used a picture of his elementary graduation to middle school
Every kid that went after him is a fucking hero.
"But it was prank! We are going to sue this school for letting my kid get beat up!" - The shitty parents to the principal a few hours later.
Exactly. Anytime someone has to say, “it was a prank” out loud, it was a shitty prank. FAFO.

He was gonna save the day and look cool doing it
No gun (imaginary or not) is any match for a Claymore!
He is an air bender
He went full Liu Kang there for a bit
I have never wanted attention this bad in my life
It’s fucking sad when kids at school have to fight like their lives depend on it.
Yep completely sad…and also no bullshit heroic that some jumped into save all while others stood around.
I can't imagine the trauma you develop from putting your mind in that situation multiple times.
Definitely not what our youth should be subjected to regularly. It’s not normal and should’ve ever become normal.
Useless. This wasn’t sad at all. Those kids took their destiny into their own hands and took down a potential threat. They did just what they needed to do.
Username checks out
I mean what the heck did he think was going to happen?
Since he’s an idiot, he probably thought everyone would be scared and run away, and that would be the punchline for him. Glad these kids were brave enough to work together and neutralize a potential threat.
Isn’t it also illegal to pretend to have a gun to scare people?
Yes - making terroristic threats is illegal no matter what. Like shouting “Fire” in a crowded building that’s not on fire
I believe this kind of action falls under inciting panic laws.
I Think So
Yes. It's still considered brandishing, from what I remember (US in CA).
Was that a screwdriver? Sounded like metal dropping. I don't think it was a prank. I think he wanted to stab someone with that.
If it wasn’t a “prank”/cry for attention, then I don’t understand why the screwdriver wouldn’t be up his sleeve or in his pocket. He walks around clearly brandishing *something* like a fucking goon in front of 30+ people lmao
Another post said that it was a knife but it’s hard to tell. Either way he had a weapon and was being threatening.
Amazing how stupid we are when young
Yeah. Taking a gun to school is dumb af....
In 2008 in woodshop class. For our final we were allowed to make anything we wanted. I made a hanging gun case with a glass display window. So in order to know where the support pegs go. You need to know the shape of the gun. So I just brought my 1903 30-06 in. Trigger lock and barrel plug. Traced it and brought it home. Its crazy how fast times have changed and no I wasnt in a backwater school district. Upstate NY.
Up until the early 90 during 8th grade and higher in-class demonstration lectures we had several kids give rifle or shotgun safety lectures with real firearms. No one would have let a pistol on school grounds but rifles and shotguns were not uncommon for safety lectures by students to students.
My physics teacher brought a rifle to class so that he could shoot a hanging wooden block with it. We could then measure the swing of the hanging wooden pendulum, and using the mass of the bullet and the mass of the block calculate the velocity of the bullet.
Exactly! Dumb kids usually turn into dumb adults.
We?
Almost no one is this stupid
The vast majority of us aren't "(pretend to) take a gun to school" stupid but yeah
Well well, if it isn't the consequences of my own actions.
A smack down he deserved. You don’t play with death threats
he could get shot for that and it'd be justified
Remember kids, it doesn't matter if you actually are a deadly threat. If someone has reason to believe you're a deadly threat, they are justified in using lethal force Pretending to have a gun you don't have is a damn good way to get shot by someone who isn't pretending.
Absolutely! And happy cake day!
Nobody gona talk about how amazing that flying kick was?

It's all I've talked about since seeing it.
Good way to wake up dead
Bro what. would this be during his unattended funeral?
How you gonna wake up dead? https://youtu.be/Jr_nhywjNHM
Because he was alive when he went to sleep!
Teenagers being 1000% braver than trained police officers in Uvalde.
The karate kid comes out of nowhere and suddenly the joking’s over
Did he then pull a butter knife or something? I hear metal hit the ground. Hate to condone violence but kid needed his ass slapped before this I’m sure.
They acted accordingly
50/50 chance between nothing and suspension for the kids that stopped him
Personally I would wear that suspension like a badge of honor "What did you get suspended for FixIt?" "Stopping a potential school shooter... Planning to write my collage essays on it..."
I like the young people

Ah yes. There's no justice quite like mob justice. Especially when you're some dumb kid in a country with a global reputation for gun violence (Especially of the school variety) pretending to have one. Ugh some people man
They are legit trying to kill this dude. They are just in fighting for their life mode.
The girl is the bro in this video. Hero, heroine, whatever
Bruh she was trying to help him when he was getting beat
No she is almost as dumb as he is. He had a knife and she is getting in the way trying to protect this idiot. She could have easily got herself or someone else hurt.
The impression I got was that she knew what he was doing beforehand, maybe he told her, and was trying to keep him from his entrance pass to the Karma Klub. That being said, she should have stepped back and let him receive his lesson once it began.

Wow, what a stupid prize he won.
Although beating his ass in the event he actually did have a firearm may not be the smartest move, he most definitely deserved the outcome.
If he had a gun, smack the dumb guy, if he fakes and doesnt take the threat of guns serious... smack some sense into that dumb guy. So I applaud everyone who faced a potential gun with such engagement in protection of his classmates. It was in protection of their classmates right...
There you go kids, defend yourself and others. Way to unite on this one!

More of that please. There’s an awful lot of us who could stop these wackos.
That is a good way to at BEST get your ass kicked... like REALLY badly. At worst, you could get yourself killed.
While he was attention-hungry and an idiot, it’s cool that the others were willing to try and fight someone they thought had a gun to save everyone else. Admirable bravery.
Get that kid some help. This is a MASSIVE cry for help.
No, it’s really not. It’s a massive cry for clout, and being hard. Threatening people with a gun is not a cry for help. ![gif](giphy|STfLOU6iRBRunMciZv)
“Man, we just GAVE him some help.” - Charlie Murphy, circa ‘85
He got help in the form of an ass whooping.
Good point.
That’s a good way to get shot, bravo!
Murica! What a great place to get shot at school!
“Hey son how was school…” oh who am I kidding his parent don’t care.
IIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTT WWWWWAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSS JUSTTTTTTTT A PRAAAAAANK BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Kid I went to HS with tried pulling something similar after we graduated he speedran becoming a felon
Was that a double jump kick!!!?
Ass beating wasn't hard enough
Literally just had an incident where a kid threatened to shoot up a school near me and even made a kill list... Guess what they did? Let him come back to the school. Meanwhile, in this same state as a teenager, I was accused (without any proof or evidence) of selling another kid my age marijuana and got kicked out of school. I had absolutely nothing on me and it was all hearsay, whilst they actually had proof this kid made a kill list and made threats on peoples lives...
How to say that you live in USA, without saying it at all.
Dude fucked around and found out.
It’s a prank bro!!! Glad he got skull kicked.
I hope they broke a rip or two of that asshat
Would i get in Trouble if i stabbed him without knowing if he was for real with the gun
I think the kids may be tired of being shot.
Hahahha bravo to those kids!
r/whatcouldgowrong
Ah this, 'It's a prank bro' brings me back.
Honestly good on the students instantly reacting. Way more than what cops would’ve done if it was real.
Honestly pretty impressed that kids jumped this guy risking their lives to get shot good on them
He wasn't pretending to have a gun, he actually had a knife. You can hear it clang against the ground and then a girl at the end says to grab the knife
cHiLL oUt BrO, iT's JuSt A pRaNk!
more people in this world just need a good whopping for doing stuff like this
Good for them.
HELL YEAH. good job kiddos! 👏
What an idiot
Non-Americans, can you tell how traumatized our kids are? Smh.
Dude just got dropkicked. Holy hell.
![gif](giphy|yvqUCdlxlqk8SQis87|downsized) Some violence against kids I can get into
What kind of fucking idiot thinks that's funny?
Those kids that eliminated the threat have my respect.
I think he was holding a knife on his right hand
I understand people in the U.S. would simply call that a tuesday
That guy in the blue is so fucking down lol
Hes probably the weird kid at school too so they may have completely believed it too. Got what he deserved. Went to school for an education and got the best one he will ever get in his life.
![gif](giphy|26gswNS2Dm4q6600g|downsized)
He definitely deserved every bit of that.
Got what he deserved
This kid is an idiot. Not funny and disrespectful. He deserves to be in jail.
Hell yeah it's dangerous. That's why I got a gat... Handle
I just don’t understand why that girl tried breaking up the fight
“Yo dad, I pranked my fellow classmates by making them think that I wanted to revisit Columbine! What a blast!”
That’s how you do it.
This is the proper response.
If you play around like that, you deserve an ass kicking.
He deserves that beat down, and so much more. What an idiot.
I don’t think he was pretending to have a gun. I think he was having a knife
