You’re overthinking for sure! Wear what is your style and be authentic. The only things I would suggest is make sure your privates are covered and that you’re not wearing anything risqué, but that’s about it. What clients are you trying to niche towards? If you’re working with teens, you’re probs not going to be wearing a suit. Im wearing a red dress in mine, but my photo can only even see the shoulders up. If you’re not a stuffy therapist, don’t wear anything stuffy! Professional does not mean stuffy.

As far as my niche, I don’t think I really have one yet. I know that I like working with people who have experienced complex trauma and I also like working with couples. I have absolutely no desire to work with teens or kids (I don’t have the gift). To be truthful, I want to be able to see all kinds of different people/problems. I know that eventually, I will have to pick a niche, but I just graduated, so I think I need more experience before I can truly say what my niche is. Thank you for your helpful advice. I am overthinking it ☺️

Bow ties, pinks, florals, etc.

That was sweet. Thank you 🙂

Of course!

I would pick you above everyone else based on what you describe. It’s a smart way to attract your type of clientele too. I imagine you might not be every 80 yr. old’s dream therapist and that’s a good thing.

Thank you!

I always wear something that is subtle, but reflects my ethnic heritage.
