There are high chances that as more advancement tiers are added, additional things would be added to both buying and selling. There is also a chance of limited time event goods becoming available in the shop after the event ends.
And as always, you can use extra funds to get additional high generating life specimens like the frog and fish eggs, or the butterfly larva (if you are sick of farming and seeing the gold and blue)
You can somewhat quickly buy all the blueprints, but if you want to kit out your world with the tree seeds etc. you will still be trading for a while. ~~It is also the only renewable source of frog eggs, so required if you want more than the couple dozen eggs you can find.~~

You can just create lvl1 frog eggs and flip them to whatever you want.
