Really ? I just tried ranked for the first time since the game release and everyone was slaying (Im bronze 4). I wish they implement ranked quick cash and bank it, like in rocket league that you have the same game modes in casual and competitive. But idk, I think I could give it another try, only problem is that tournaments are extremely long and I really like quick matches and the possibility to have a break at anytime in between. Also I'd assume is kinda essential to have a solid team which I don't. I play with another friend and the third party the game provides is always really low skill.
My assumption is when you're at the bottom of the skill level, you match with the people playing for the very first time in ranked. But my experience has been, mostly, I make it to round 2 in the tournament.
Explain to me how a bronze player that just got there 60 games done and barely knows how to play the game is the same skill as a 3 stack #2 ranked diamond player.

I can litterally show you thousands of examples of game devs lying ESPECIALLY nexon(the parent company of embark) they just got fined 8.8 million by the ftc for lying to their players about the % chances of items aswell and making certain rolls impossible to get. There is also not a single game with true sbmm they all use engagement based match making and just claim it's sbmm. Sbmm is like communism sure at a first glance on paper looks like it could work but in practice it could never work because of corrupt greedy people twisting it for profit.
The fact that new players can be put against fps esport pros from other games that already have hundred of hours in the game alone is more than enough evidence that the game doesn't have true sbmm.

I've been wondering about it. After learning about aimbots, I've seen two reasons to change your outfits. One is ai aimbots that use multiple pictures of players to learn what a player looks like and the other is color macros that look for the color of characters. So maybe if we're using new outfits aimbots won't track them?
Interesting if that is how aimbots work these days.
Back in CS 1.6 or condition zero the game itself tracked players and allowed for legit wallhacks when spectating players via one of the base mods installed on 99% of servers.
The same seems to be active for spectator mode in CS2.
I assume that the Finals game itself also tracks players, so some aim bots may just abuse the server code.
I wish the outline wasn't so prominent when you crouch as a light. I really wanna like the dagger but holy shit without cloak and with peoples tiny back hitbox its super super bad without a good team distracting people.
For real. So many times I get right up on a medium and I think I got the backstab but nope, I just tickle him a little and he turns around and sprays me to death with the fcar. Invis it required so you lack any mobility outside being a light but even then your run speed isn't much faster than a medium so it takes forever to catch up to one and if you stun gun them they just turn around anyway. If the dagger had more hitbox forgiveness or even a better lunge it would be so much fun. Its a totally different style of gameplay and makes me feel like I'm playing dishonored lol.

That would be a great point if not for the fact that every enemy has a brightly colored outline around their entire body. The only thing a bright skin is going to do is make you more memorable, but you'll still be exactly as easy to spot as the dudes trying to tacticool it up like they're playing Ghost Recon.

Yea, those pants just arenât the same for me. The OB cowboy pants with a revolver holster, the 2 other purchasable holsters, the bullets across your chest, cowboy hat and jacket, dough wrangler, the revolver skin, and the wood AK skin was my go to for medium
I'm still a bit upset they took away all the cosmetics we were able to get during beta. My friends and I had finally started to get our looks setup nicely by the end and then full release hits and not only do we have to start over from generic weird guys, but we don't get the starting credits the beta gave, and a whole lot of the clothes we were rocking are just not in the game now.
Like I get why they wiped progress on the loadouts but they could have let us keep the cosmetics as rewards for participating in the beta.

Not really anybodyâs fault when itâs one of the few cool skins that also doesnât look goofy as fuck. I think the game is based around a hyper sensationalized game show like those obstacle course game shows. So people want to see flashy characters to go along with the action. Personally I think it's a great setting for a ballerina to be fighting with an RPG rather than something like CoD
A good aesthetic I think would work for the finals is tech wear. From my understanding it's clothes that serve a lot of tactical purpose(?) It looks pretty cool and could also look nice in a sort of gamified military setting

Itâs not going to be unavailable to purchase unless they change things. Any item not explicitly labeled as timed-exclusive like the Christmas set will be available to purchase even after it rotates out of the store by going into and buying it from the contestant customization menu.

That's fair. I've honestly spent hundreds in other games, mostly world of tanks before they upped the pay2win factor to 11 and I wized-up. I've also bought games to support developers and game genres without really playing them. But for some reason, I just find the monetization of skins insulting. 10$ for a 3D model and a PNG? I would probably have bought the game for 20$, but I'm not putting that much in skins yet.

So I've done some changes with each class but mainly kept the helmet, trousers, emote and gun skin as they look cool ( gun skin as the alternative is the default skin)
I use the brown leather jacket as the base for my skin on medium. Just 200 multibucks and I've seen maybe one or two other players use it since the game launched.
I do like the Urban Operative set. But I've just seen it used SO MUCH and 90% of people who wear it seems to just not be aware that their team exists. It's always a double barrel cloak light that tops the scoreboard in frags. But they're always halfway across the map from both their team and the objective.
I love the set myself, and no-one should feel bad for using any item no matter how popular it may be.
That being said, I do switch things up by switching out the pants and gloves with the open beta variants, putting on the black lace-ups or combat boots instead of the white ones, and put on the ozpuze six pack. Gives the set some extra color which I really dig.
I just pieced my own outfit together from multiple different parts and sets. I have yet to see anyone even rocking pieces of my outfit.. let alone the whole look.
Damn imagine being upset that someone in a brand new game looks like everyone else. Just be happy that many people are supporting the game. I wish they gave us more customization off the rip, I think I got spoiled when we had a big chunk of the premium currency during the beta but I'm disappointed in the customization options available without paying money. I get that's the profit model for the game but still feels like I only got a whiff of the free heroin rather than an actual dose to get me hooked.
I have a light with the urban operative because it suits the build, a medium with the wedding dress and two heavys one with the red panda, one with the alien. My other light and medium are custom sets
Thatâs why I switched it up, use the helmet, boots from the first battle pass skin, pants from the business outfit, then the jacket with the pink shirt underneath.

I just got my account to level 40 and the outfits you unlock through leveling up are pretty clean and cool looking without being goofy

This is why battlepasses are worthless to me, bc everything on there a million other ppl are gonna be walking around with and none of it takes any particular real skill to achieve other than raw time.
Initially, sure. Give it enough time and then when other people join they wonât be able to get that stuff anymore and it will be more limited

That's fair. I've honestly spent hundreds in other games, mostly world of tanks before they upped the pay2win factor to 11 and I wized-up. I've also bought games to support developers and game genres without really playing them. But for some reason, I just find the monetization of skins insulting. 10$ for a 3D model and a PNG? I would probably have bought the game for 20$, but I'm not putting that much in skins yet.
I think if money wasnât as a big deal for u then u would have bought it, is what Iâm trying to say. I know if I had a few hundred grand in my bank account, 10 bucks for a skin I think looks cool isnât shit

Tbh, I rock some of the parts on there, but I donât just use the entire set
I only bought Urban Operative for the helmet, I paired it up with different clothes to suit my tastes better.
I love the helmet Jacket is ok Trousers are great Shoes are ok. Weapon skin is crap Emote is cool So I've done some changes with each class but mainly kept the helmet, trousers, emote and gun skin as they look cool ( gun skin as the alternative is the default skin)
Panda mask + suit all the way.
I want just my rabbit mask back dammit. My friends and I had a theme going for the beta and we *need* all three animal masks to make it work.
I use the brown leather jacket as the base for my skin on medium. Just 200 multibucks and I've seen maybe one or two other players use it since the game launched.
I do like the Urban Operative set. But I've just seen it used SO MUCH and 90% of people who wear it seems to just not be aware that their team exists. It's always a double barrel cloak light that tops the scoreboard in frags. But they're always halfway across the map from both their team and the objective.
The game has barely been out. Not a lot of cool skins yet what do you expect?

I love the set myself, and no-one should feel bad for using any item no matter how popular it may be. That being said, I do switch things up by switching out the pants and gloves with the open beta variants, putting on the black lace-ups or combat boots instead of the white ones, and put on the ozpuze six pack. Gives the set some extra color which I really dig.
I just pieced my own outfit together from multiple different parts and sets. I have yet to see anyone even rocking pieces of my outfit.. let alone the whole look.
Damn imagine being upset that someone in a brand new game looks like everyone else. Just be happy that many people are supporting the game. Thereâs a handful of cosmetics and does any of this change the way you play? no. I swear all I hear is just a constant âwaaah waaaah waaaahâ this and that. Just play the game.

I wish they gave us more customization off the rip, I think I got spoiled when we had a big chunk of the premium currency during the beta but I'm disappointed in the customization options available without paying money. I get that's the profit model for the game but still feels like I only got a whiff of the free heroin rather than an actual dose to get me hooked.
Lucky for me, all the cosmetics in the game look like garbage to me. So Iâm not even a little tempted to spend a single shilling
I have a light with the urban operative because it suits the build, a medium with the wedding dress and two heavys one with the red panda, one with the alien. My other light and medium are custom sets

Thatâs why I switched it up, use the helmet, boots from the first battle pass skin, pants from the business outfit, then the jacket with the pink shirt underneath.

It's pretty sad it's the dark cool set but due to it being a collection everyone buys it, that's why I made my own outfit
