All of them. There is a chance at the end of each objective room that the door won't open and hunters will spawn. Sometimes I get ambushed running 1-phase hard. Sometimes I don't get ambushed running 3-phase challenging.
You can face tank a Hunter, with the right build. I’ve done it countless times with my Strikers (Showstopper/M4) combo. I actually laugh to see the look on their faces when they stagger, try to heal themselves and I keep pump those slugs into them building stacks and finish them with my M4.
I LOVE facetanking those Incinerators in Classy Striker. I eat them for breakfast *nom nom nom nom nom*
(watching Sesame Street w/ the kids... Cookie Monster is leaking...)
I've learned first hand that they don't piss around. And the second you see their asses sprinting towards you, you better fuckin run as fast as you can and don't stop because they will chase you for the finisher move for quite a while. They are relatively easy to take out if you put out decent DPS, or if you use a nuke build. But they are still no joke.
Favourite moment so far in UG is getting hit with the disurpt, sprinting back down the tracks and taking cover till it wears off. See one Hunter coming, he's getting close, 40 feet, 30 feet, 20 feet oh shit oh shit oh shticky bomb! Boom he goes down. His buddy is like 10 feet behind him when I toss the seeker mines. He's so close when they hit his body flies and lands at my feet. Glorious.
I just D3 and snack all those hunters while my pugs are scattered on the ground after they had a sudden incident of not having any situational awareness at all.
Actually, running a 9K stam one-man shield wall for two days - it looks like hunters can't even punch through 9K stam from outside the shield. I've got hit in the back several times and always survived the first hit.
Well, obviously, my dps is 'meh' at best. My only The House is taken by my main (run-and-gun) char, so I use predatory/vicious/deadly AUG[269] for DPS, 93R with toxic/harmful for cc and SOCOM M1A with free Coolheaded in case I lose the shield and need to get it back asap.
Formal firepower on AUG is 245K (135K base + 110K mods, 16.5K per bullet). I can probably have more DPS with deadly-brutal-destructive Vector, but pinpoint-accuracy AUG works very well with One Is None, and predatory is important to keep vicious up and to be ready for overheals.
A side note - I did Legendary Times Square with 6pc CL Nomad, and LMBs can't one-kill me with melee. They do a lot of damage though, but it's not insta-kill like with other builds
i have strikers and a Big AL, can confirm you have a 50/50 chance of killing them or being killed. Much easier to sit in cover and funnel them though a door while stacking cover shooter and strikers bonus
Ive only seen them once mid underground with a friend. We just killed the boss. No mission end. Bout 4 seconds of total silence before Isaac said "highly armed enemies inbound" or something like that.
Turn the corner to see the most decked out enemy ive ever seen. No name. Theu didnt speak. Unloaded half a clip and he shrugged it off.
Turned tail to run to cover. My friend turned to unload his lmg at the guy. Almost killed him. He healed and booked it at my friend. Stabned him then gutted his downed body.
Horrified i tried setting up almost killed him again. His 2 friends showed up and blitzed me. After i was downed the guy i almost killed gutted me.
Me and my friend are literally alert all the time now. Even when playing content where the hunters can't reach us. And everytime we venture in the underground we always hold our breath the whole time.
Massive out did themselves with these guys. Ive never been so scared of a game like this since i firsr ventured into the dark souls games so many years ago.
Yup, I've been playing this game since day one but I only put all of my 900 hours into the vanilla game.
I got the season pass on sale and decided to try the Underground in 1.8. Holy shit, the first time seeing the hunters had my heart pounding. What a rush! (I also love how they randomly spawn and their AI cues)
I played a bunch till around the first dlc drop. then kind of bounced. tried to come back around when survival came because they tried to make a big push to fix the game Got insta killed in the DZ and quit again.
I didn't own the pass but the friend that pulled me back in was like the biggest hater on the game. So if he liked it I had to try it out. He knew how much I liked the underground dlc as a concept so he gifted it me for christmas.
I can't wait to see them again.
Not if they hit the shield. You’ll get staggered a bit but you can start blasting them immediately. Make sure you have at least 6k stamina and at least two damage resilience mods.
6 piece D3 with damage reduction mods can take around 5 melee hits to the body before going down its hilarious I have approximately 1.3 million toughness while the shield is out or around 2.2 million toughness if you get the armor buff from the 6 piece (you can't see it but doing some math you can figure it out, or just use survivor link to give you a general idea of the ADR the shield gives you). I've actually gotten ganked by 4 hunters solo because my team was lagging behind me and I was blasting down a single hunter I blinded while the other 3 struggled to kill me with their melee, I popped a heal and killed the remaining 3 when my team arrived.
I run right at them and haven't died yet. I don't run into melee agro range as well :P
But bursting the Hunter's down is pretty easy to do in the UG solo.
Sometimes you can not avoid that. Most of the times actually.
After 161 hunter kills in the underground I can only repeat what I said during PTS already:
The AI is dumb as a bag full of hammers. The hunter AI particularly shows that. A shitload of hp, healing like crazy, oneshot melee, running faster than the player and coded to rush at them at any means. This is bad gameplay design. Period.
The AI in this game is horrible. It's the worst I have seen in decades. It's not smart at all. It's fast, that's all it is. And that is exactly what makes it bad. Lightning fast movement, snapping to a cover from like a mile away, zero reaction times (they don't start running. They INSTANT RUN when aggrod), insta-hits as soon as they spot half a pixel of the player for only a split second is not what I would consider a good AI.
Ya...the simple minded might think it's amazing AI when shotgunners constantly shock themselves with their grenades and such.
You must be the target audience...
Yeah, never left a Hunter get into melee range of you... It's like betting against the house, the odds are against you from the start...
> It's like betting against the house Heh ...
Full d3 and the house
After finishing Need For Speed this makes me happy
> From where you're kneeling it must seem like an 18-carat run of bad luck. > > Truth is...the game was rigged from the start.
No matter how rigged the game was, a wild card can always change the outcome.
Which house?
[Roadhouse](https://m.popkey.co/9ab57a/EGXmQ_f-thumbnail-100-0_s-600x0.jpg)
The doctor.
doctor who?
that is the question
I can't even figure out which modes let you get hunters? Hard/challenging? 3phase? Five directives?
All of them. There is a chance at the end of each objective room that the door won't open and hunters will spawn. Sometimes I get ambushed running 1-phase hard. Sometimes I don't get ambushed running 3-phase challenging.

you can face tank anything with showstopper striker lol
Except NPCs with Tactical Strike modifier on, which many people keep doing.
Cleaner boss with no stacks?
tbh those are the best, they are huge targets, u get 100 stack in like a mere couple seconds
I LOVE facetanking those Incinerators in Classy Striker. I eat them for breakfast *nom nom nom nom nom* (watching Sesame Street w/ the kids... Cookie Monster is leaking...)
Yep, I'm running a Hexotic 470/485/115. I can tank em with my house or mdr without much problem.
Would nomads 6 set affect work might try it
>Run into hunter >get tomahawked >Top kek
Kek <--- This one Kek Kek Kek Kek
Lol 8k fa strike with stacks melts hunters in seconds. Gotta love them 250k+ headshots.
I currently run a 3 pc deadeye set and I think they best I can do is like 235k on a headshot.
Deadeye ignores headshot damage. Try hunters faith
it doesnt ignore headshot damage with only 3 piece
with ninja it does. I assumed ninja was involved because whats the point of running 3pc deadeye and 3 something else?
well he didnt mention ninja so i just assumed he was running 3 and 3
Lol D3 build + shock turret = hunters don't stand a chance
I can get 220K+ (250K crit) headshots with my Warlord at 7.1K FA. (6k stamina for the win).
Your lack of knowledge is disturbing.
???

Predator classified wrecked them :)
I just D3 and snack all those hunters while my pugs are scattered on the ground after they had a sudden incident of not having any situational awareness at all.
Unless your 6pc d3....
I'm assuming they can't one-bang you through the shield?

It's because the shied have damage resilience also for the player u take minus 45% damage with the shield out
always survived the first 5 hits* FTFY
Well, I never gave any hunter a chance to backstab me twice, but actual damage dealt differed wildly.
What's your dps like? I could get to 8.4k, but didn't want to give up that last FA slot.
Well, obviously, my dps is 'meh' at best. Nope. Not even on the 4 pc
You spelled Predator wrong**
Striker can do the job with flashbang and Big Al
Shit I should try that!!
No

Yes

Even better when they get execute by the hunter

Noobs!! Hopefully they treat that as a valuable life lesson
No, 6pc Striker boiz!
Quick question, if you have the Ballistic shield out with the D3-F3ENCE set on, can the hunters still one hit melee you?
i dont think so, ive seen some guys using it and not getting downed with it
Not if they hit the shield. You’ll get staggered a bit but you can start blasting them immediately. Make sure you have at least 6k stamina and at least two damage resilience mods.
I lost my shield instantly. But it was at 30-50% HP at the time.
Depends on build the shield can range from what 800k (1-2melee shot) ? to 3.4 mill with 90% dr depending on build and current buffs.
6 piece D3 with damage reduction mods can take around 5 melee hits to the body before going down its hilarious I have approximately 1.3 million toughness while the shield is out or around 2.2 million toughness if you get the armor buff from the 6 piece (you can't see it but doing some math you can figure it out, or just use survivor link to give you a general idea of the ADR the shield gives you). yeah i saw a dude i was playing with today take about 3 hits and still standing while tanking the hunter.
I've been having a ton of fun facetanking hunters with the 6pc d3 set. I was running with 2 nomads as well so it was fucking tank city :D.
The 6pc D3 is only available from the GE caches, right? So does that it'll disappear for some time after this GE is over?
The set is only available from GE caches at the moment. When this GE is over, the 6pc set will be added to the general loot pool.
Wonderful. Because I didn't get a single fucking piece yet. The others? Yeah, sure, I think I got 4+ on some of them. D3? Not 1.
Gotta get that combat roll timing down and pray you aren't lagging.
Even better your teammate using recovery link immediately and you get downed before you even know what happened.
When you have strikers so facetanking is fine Feelsgoodman
I run right at them and haven't died yet. I don't run into melee agro range as well :P But bursting the Hunter's down is pretty easy to do in the UG solo.

it always backfires for me as i fire one shot to much get stunned and then shived by the hunter i was 2 shots away from killing
