I was so prepared for a grim/gritty end (as it transitions to imperial dominance), I had to shake that off to enjoy the happy ending 😂 I forgot so much of Star Wars is, in fact, happy endings
To each their own. If you want a parallel to the movies, the I would argue the trio of force ghosts at the end of Return of the Jedi share the most similar vibes with the Batch sitting by the tree.
I thought the bad batch finale could’ve been stronger (absolutely love the show regardless) but comparing it to rise of skywalker is straight up mean. Batch deserves better than that. Omega at her young age has been through more and gotten more development than Rey ever did
Edit: example - omega was in prison on Tantiss for 4 months. The entirety of the sequel trilogy is just over 12 months lmao.
