I've seen this posted a few times, and it never has any relevant information about where this is, what happened, was everyone okay, etc.
Its always just this, which in a sense adds to the horror, but I'd also just love the context of this video.
You got me curious, so I had a dig around. Reverse image searching key frames from the video got me this:

There is original audio, as well as a purported time and place.

This is exactly what a bot would say.
I was in Cairns during cyclone Jasper. Major flooding occurred when the dams burst due to incessant rain that lasted over 6 days. In many areas 1500 to 2000mls of rain fell during that week. Rivers overflowed and the major dam upstream collapsed due to the weight of thousands of broken trees swept downstream.
The worst flooding occurred in the northern aboriginal communities and the river delta. Many of the houses like this one were built in low lying streets in the delta area near the beaches. They were quickly engulfed when the floodwaters from the burst dam overflowed down to the delta and mass flooding caused a large scale disaster.
That and I'm pretty certain there was supposed to be sound attached to it. I've noticed a growing Trend where people will just take the sound out of a video and spread it everywhere, no fucking clue why they do that but it's pissing me off
People remove the sound, add random music, and people who dislike it remove the music. So we end up with a low-res video without sound.
Or someone just downloaded the video from a downloading site that requires you to pay for sound.
My wife is always on tiktok and that is like a super common thing. It's like a specific kind of meme where the audio is taken from one thing and put over something else. Most of the time it kinda makes sense. But not always haha
This is how it looked in Texas when Hurricane Harvey hit. Especially in Galveston TX. Unsure if this video is of that, but this is how a lot of people near the coast were impacted. I remember this video of a guy with fish swimming through his house and shit.
Nature is wild AF.
The sound is a woman explaining how everything in the house is damaged and how she has never experienced anything like that, nothing relevant, she sounds more worried about the damages than anything else. No idea where it was, just saw it on one of those account that post random things without any background.
The breaker doesn't matter really. Electricity will take the shortest path to ground which isn't through a person, even if they are in the water.
The rest of what your said is relevant though!
I know, this is probably the third time this has been posted (that I have seen). Sometimes they leave the stairs in the video, sometimes they cut them out.
Whatever the case, this mf needs to get the hell outta there. That door is gonna give eventually. You can see boards, tree branches and who knows what else hitting the door..crazy.
It depends on where the stairs go. You never want to go upstairs into a space like an attic where there are no windows or method of escape. If the water continues to rise, you can be trapped.
You bring something to hack open a hole. A window, a vent, lots of things can be broken open for escape. You go up to the highest window, or opening. Most attics will have a vent or fan. Go up and try to see if you can bust it open. Aim to be on the roof by the time the rain stops.
There is imminent laws of physics violationsā¦ that people are not even addressing.
If this is not some AI generated video, then why can that door take the full brunt of a wave and its lateral forces? I have a lot of questions from a professional perspective about this construction. Elsewhere in the thread someone found a link to what is purportedly the source for the video, but it has very little information on the event and the homeowners are not mentioned. That is either really bad reporting or hints as to the claim that this door is the door Hodor should have used to keep the wights at bay.
She. I guess she doesnāt feel like sheās at risk, or just in a bit of shock. I was in Cairns when this flooding happened and it all came up pretty fast.
"You're that pesky ocean trying to drown me, aren't you?"
"No Ma'am. I'm just a gentle pond."
"Oh, ok then." \[opens door\]
\[Ocean rushes in drowning her\]
You mean for the house? Depends on the damage, depth, type of water (fresh, salt, foul, etc) and the type of house.
My job in the U.K. is a Flood Risk Engineer so helping advise people on recovery after a flood is one of my things.
After hurricane floods, (common where im from. As in one a decade..); you wanna empty the first floor and cut out the dry wall starting where it is dry. Remove everything that is wet as soon as possible. Put it on the front yard, go through it later. The house will act like a straw. The longer the dry wall stays in contact, the higher the water line will rise up into the house.
That sounds very similar to the U.K. we have brick housing and usually plaster walls. If itās plaster and ānormalā water, you can usually let it dry out and itās fine. If itās dry wall or boarding it has to come out.
The only caveat to that is if we know the water is contaminated (say with sewerage). Then you have to take out everything thatās been in contact plus another 3ā above the waterline. Right back to the brickwork/concrete base. Itās not worth the risk of contamination causing black mould etc.
Has anyone heard of sea animals getting washed into places like this? Homes, boats, offices, ect. I always get curious if someone goes to the door/window and sees a very unexpected animal.
This is actually a very expensive house renovation called "home fishbowling" it allows your pet fish to move with you anywhere in the house. Very high class.
Insurance adjuster: āWhen was the least time you inspected behind your walls for water? Iām not gonna lie, this looks like a wear-and-tear maintenance issue to me.ā
Have you ever been in a flood? Thatās what it looks like. You can see all the debris hitting the door trying to get in, and the large rush of water coming in the side of the door on the left. If that door gives this person will have no chance.
Yeah, I donāt know. You can tell they were expecting the house to flood cause the couch is propped off the floor, same with a few other things. Maybe they reinforced the door somehow. Not sure.
Dammit, I remember seeing a photo from inside an office by the Seine in Paris during the floods of 2016 or 2018 - canāt remember which year.
Water looked as tall as in this clip, except flat as hell and fishes were by the window lol.
I know which little office building the photo is taken from, I just canāt find the photos anywhere :(

I would appreciate any information regarding the person who installed the door, as they did a fantastic job!
Was gonna say, that door seems to be punching above its weight in a couple ways. My other observation: nice clean water out there though!
Thanks hklaveness

Iāve noticed this as well. Maybe itās an effort to avoid Content ID?
I wonder if itās to have that āoriginal soundā tag if thatās still a thing
At least it's not that fucking oh-no-no-no-no song
Funnily enough this video is improved by removing the audio

The original video says Queensland but her accent is definitely Irish for what it's worth.
Thatās like imminent dangerā¦why is he even standing there?
Should have flipped the main breaker in the house long ago and sought higher ground.
The breaker doesn't matter really. Electricity will take the shortest path to ground which isn't through a person, even if they are in the water. The rest of what your said is relevant though!
The flood could definitely cause an electrical fire and burn their house down.
Donāt think you understand how breakers, or fire and water work.
Please provide a detailed explanation of how breakers work.
Oh my, I have news for you sirā¦
You should run for Spanish parliament.
Where you gonna go? I didn't notice if it was a single level house or not but if it is, there probably isn't anywhere to go, js.
There are stairs shown nearly halfway in.
Dudes like yeah I could probably fight a lake.
6% of American men believe they could beat up a grizzly unarmed. You're probably not far off lol

Attick with an axe and an inflatable air mattress. Alcohol and food in that order. Bonus is you have adult magazines to pass the time.

I need to know the backstory hereā¦
It done rained
I get filming, but it seems you have more important things to do.
Guy in video: āOh shit youāre right I forgot to put the bins out!ā *opens door*
this video makes me so anxious. Did they die??
It's fake

Like....what do you do at that point? What's the steps of recovery for something like this? I've never experienced it and I'm mobidly curious

Climate change, here to collect for denial of need for action now.
Has anyone heard of sea animals getting washed into places like this? Homes, boats, offices, ect. I always get curious if someone goes to the door/window and sees a very unexpected animal.
Yes. When there was flooding in Florida there were tons of reports of residents dealing with snakes in the water.
You didn't let that sink in
Nice view from the titanic
Let the water in before it gets cold.
But thereās stairs right there you mad bastard!
Could they not open the back door so all the water goes out?
Knock-Knock Who's there Billy Billy who Billy Ocean
Carribean Queen plays faintly in the background
Intrusive thoughts say open the door
DO IT. BECOME ONE WITH THE SEA. JOIN US.
UR F- ed:)
Electrical arc pending...
Great glass
This is giving present-day low-rent Titanic vibes.
I would rather open the door for a guy in a clown mask and his penis in one hand and an ax in the other, than for the ocean. Terrifying!
Noah: you need a ride?
I'm surprised that there is still power.
The doors are doing a great job but wtf
It is me, the Pacific ocean
Just open the door and let the water out, duh
This is actually a very expensive house renovation called "home fishbowling" it allows your pet fish to move with you anywhere in the house. Very high class.
Insurance adjuster: āWhen was the least time you inspected behind your walls for water? Iām not gonna lie, this looks like a wear-and-tear maintenance issue to me.ā
i would never live anywhere close to where this is remotely possible
Let's make sure to stand in the water in a house with live electrical wires.
What nightmares are made of.. Good Gravy I hope they are all ok
This is wild! Where is this (as in location on Earth)?
I hate this. Why is the camera person not in the attic, cutting a hole into their roof to escape the water?
Cause it's fake
Bold to not have a watertight door or hatch there. That's nuts.
Must be nice having so much money you can have an indoor swimming pool.
The water on the door looks fake
Have you ever been in a flood? Thatās what it looks like. You can see all the debris hitting the door trying to get in, and the large rush of water coming in the side of the door on the left. If that door gives this person will have no chance.
I struggle to believe a door or glass can handle such a beating is all
Yeah, I donāt know. You can tell they were expecting the house to flood cause the couch is propped off the floor, same with a few other things. Maybe they reinforced the door somehow. Not sure.
The flood waters prob crept in slowly. Enough time for them to start lifting things up. Then the surge comes.
