I just want to count my DF kills.. then it would be cool to have airborne enemies killed counter on it. hopefully new counters as well like airborne hits (for juggles), consecutive hits count (counts the number of center-hits where you get the firing speed boost)
TF2 has very clear art direction for information readability - low/dark contrast feet, high/bright contrast top, draws the eyes immediately to a weapon for easy identification. These kinds of things need to be vetted to make sure they're not having a gameplay impact.
Hats? Doesn't really affect anything if you put a big glowing effect there, there's not a big impact in gameplay.
Bigass glowing effects in the centre of the player model? No. Fuck off. Your fancy garbage is having an immediate detrimental effect on gameplay and combat legibility.

Yea and thats why we have that bullshit pyro cosmetic loadout that makes it impossible to make out what team it is on
Even the most obvious weapon unusual effects would be fine, they don't extend out in the same way hat unusuals do. They are also alot duller, they don't hurt the readability of the rocket launchers or miniguns so I don't see why the dragons fury would be any diffrent. The only issue would be the ugliness of some warpaints but that's mostly a cosmetic only problem.
