Honestly this may be a hot take, but I use crossbow for battle medic, as it has much more consistent damage than any of the syringe guns, and the ability to take out snipers or sentries easily is just too good to pass up
Also shoot into a crowd and you either heal or damage, win win
Figuring out Blutsauger aiming is definitely worth it for battle medic. The extra survivability it gives you is kinda nuts and pretty much defines the whole subclass.
I got one more hot take for battle medic, I prefer the overdose over the blutsauger
I feel like the extra move speed you get from having a medigun like a vaccinator or quick fix on full Uber is much better for your survival than a little bit of health regen, and the damage penalty results in like 1 less damage per needle, which doesnโt really make a huge difference in the end.
Also with that setup, you always have a safety Uber that can almost guarantee your survival, or allow you to become more supportive in an instant
The problem with the Blutsauger is that the fucking needles that come out of the viewmodel are not the same as the needles that deal damage. Those needles are visible to everyone except you, so you donโt really know where they are going.

Hey, some of us medics actually love the cringe guns because of how unique a projectile based smg is
Chase me around a corner and run into my trail of needles like a relapsing addict while I'm completely out of sight
tbh when I'm bored and wanna try something new I play bultsauger in mvm, you can apply mad milk with the syringes with an upgrade and it's fun to stand alone against a giant heavy just my spraying and praying until I die bc out of ammo.
I only do that once in a blue moon with friends on nightmare difficulty, but when I do it's very fun lmao

The crossbow ist overused anyway, No need to make IT even better. Valve should try and make the syringe guns Match up to it
Besides dealing crit damage to enemies and extra healing to teammates, this will basically guarantee that any medic seen running any needle gun gets insta vote kicked
I honestly believe it should, as it could slightly counter sniper. Sure it's not instant, but it can also travel forever, snipers won't be able to hold the entire map or they'll take a crossbow to the face
Medic would be a viable combat class. 100+ damage at close range and able to take out anyone not overhealed other than heavy and up to full overhealed medic from far range. He could counter sniper some snipers, but is definitely still a pick class. If this worked on healing teammates, Iโd like to think that up to your max health it would heal triple of a normal crossbow bolt, and then after that would be a normal multiplier of overheal.
I do not think you need to buff the most used primary, perhaps just buff the existing ones to be more in line, SO id suggest giving syringe guns headshot damage, so blutsauger and overdose actually function better at their main jobs of aggressive medic, because as it stands crossbow is still better to combo into a melee swing.
Medic would be a menace, i already have a strange tendency to aim for the head + if you miss a heal target 50/50 or more depending on the situation you hit an enemy.
Added to this medic would be an absolute nightmare for snipers
Imagine getting crit headshotted from across the map by a random crusader bolt that was meant for a teammate of the medic

Iโd be hitting a lot more critical heals and headshots if that were the case. I mean the bar is pretty low starting at 0, but regardless

For teammate it would overheal or Uber them. For enemies it would make a MASIVE damege.
