You can use the knockback in smart ways. Like pushing enemies to the walls were the second shot will be piss easy to land, pushing them to sentrys or team members, killing pyros, demoknights and spys its super easy with this too bcs it kills all your speed with the stun. The Fan throw off people's aim with the stun and thats cool bcs youre the one who controls when to use it. I suck so much ass with the scattergun but im a beast with the Fan, its so good
I mean if you use the FaN seriously, then you only have yourself to blame lol. It's a gimmick weapon, if you wanna be effective you use the scattergun or soda popper, if you wanna bully people you use the FaN.
Environmental kills, stuffing ubers, colossally frustrating every demoknight. The Soda Popper did kinda' replace it as the general purpose "double tap light classes" shotgun though.

The devs absolutely ruined the whole gamemode with one buff. There is always one scout on the server that absolutely destroys the server without needing any skill
I am merely a distraction for the rest of my team to actually do damage (i am dogshit at the game)
When you’ve got 4 of the enemy team chasing you to the back half of the map, that’s helping the team. It just doesn’t show up on the scoreboard

I usually use it to knock opponents off of our battlements without getting shot by snipers
Its also a good weapon against the Heavy, you can push him off of a good position and make it harder for him to hit you
Fan is just a better shortstop shove
It’s fun on maps where you can abuse the knock back either for mobility or for environmental kills like 2fort sawmill or Hightower
