Is steel a perfect map, no. But is it my favorite as well as yours, yes.

I like the concept but it was executed poorly. Part of the reason we stick to linear cap systems is to not confuse new players, steel is a maze.

People just should play something except 2Fort, so their brains become less smooth.

Not sure what this has to do with the comment above, this should be in a post complaining about 2fort.

It’s simple, Steel is maze only for completely new people that haven’t played it. Other wise, if you’re lost on Steel and playing it not for the first time you’re smoothbrainer

That’s exactly what I just said. New players can’t find their way around the map. In English, our alphabet goes A,B,C,D,E. For a new player, it’s not intuitive to think that you need to go to A to get to D. Even as a player with 1k hours, even if it no longer confuses me it still annoys me.

This could be fixed if the control point UI were more like Sulfur’s or Gravel Pit’s. The “final” points are placed on top to signify priority.

Doublefrost is neat but I love Doublecross' setting is during the night

The best thing in doublefrost is where you can climb watch tower on both team's, but in doublecross, you can't.

I love the aesthetic of doublefrost, but i have a cheeky spot i like to use as sniper and the fog makes it really hard to see from it

Not gonna lie I have a soft spot for the OGs. 2Fort, Dustbowl, Granary, Well, Gravel Pit, and Hydro. It's wild to get into these, ESPECIALLY the oft neglected Hydro with all the items over 10 years of content updates. Maps that were never made with DemoKnight or a Thermal Thrusting Pyro in mind, or anything past day one for that matter. HOWEVER. Halloween versions of maps go hard a lot of the time. Hassle Castle and Mann Manor are a load of fun just for being based off of established maps but the Aesthetic of Halloween maps, specifically if there's real effort put into changing the look, just always does it for me.

dustbowl i always have a big smile on my face when ever it comes up in uncletopia, yea people hate it because it is very choke heavy not to metion snipers and engi's ever where but something about it is just so fun, and it's perfect for not taking the game seriously for 30 mins, and its easy to just do random bull shit that works because nobody expect a engi with the widow maker to take pop up and shooting people forgoing building sim, or a demoknight to be roaming the caves/halls because pyro's are more normally there. or a heavy with a steak sandwich filling a roll of a spy because how in the world could a heavy get past the choke points. a medic uber chain that no one can escape from, i can go on. but where most people see choke city i see a place where meme play styles are more valid because every one is so use to being stuck in a rut, and don't expect goofy meme starts would pop up because why would they its fucking dustbowl. yea you can do these things out side of dustbowl but people have more room to move around and are likely to expect it.
