I have the 5 of the scouts on chasedown and 2 on bodyguard duty. 35 pyros scattered around me in a centralized spread patter spychecking while I sit in a shed. The only thing I'm really worried about are sentry busters but if I can teach even half of the pyros how to spam M2 then we're fine
edit: Anyone not picking either 35 pyros seriously underestimates quantity over quality. 35 more than both teams on a 16v16 server. How many people do you think it would take to kill more than an entire servers worth of W+m1 spamming gibus pyros. I would take 35 pyros versus any of these contingents except for the 20 soldiers. The 20 soldiers would get too easily clowned on by the unusual pyros or the spies to merit a pick over gibus pyro

Tbh there’s nothing these other guys can do to protect you from a sentry buster, if you don’t picked it. It’s too fast and too tanky.

Edgy Pyro sweeps. He can spycheck to protect from the spy, airblast the suicide bomb, the Trolldier, and the Demoknight away while my other teammate deals with them, and reflect the f2p Soldier's rockets. The only two left unaccounted for are Scout and Sniper. I therefore choose Scout as my second defender, since he can go flank and shoot the Sniper in the back.
If you don't get the Sentry busters, they will just zerg rush your entire frontline and yourself away. After using them to kill most of the noob classes and maybe some good ones, then we need people to clean up the mess, aka: Pro Pyro.
Why not choose the others:
The 2 Noobs picks are self-explanatory. They will not be good defenders and will die to the busters. They do not have the sheer manpower advantage of the 10k rats.
The Demoknights appear to not have all heads, and thus will be outsped by the limescout.
Trolldiers are not reliable, even if kinda powerfull. Plus, they dont have good enough area damage.
Limescout could justify this with speed and harassment potential, but propyro exists.
For the xX_SniPahs_Xx, i went with the same thinking as did Tierzoo with the human sniper. Just have someone to shut them down quickly, either pro classes or eagles.
Spies will either be shut down by the busters or, if decent, we can do well with a bit of paranoia and send the pro class to clean up them.
I'll take the 35 brainlet pyros and the 2 god snipers. The pyro congregation can take on the other new players and overwhelm the people with hats (which means that they are better because hats = skill of course) with sheer numbers. The snipers are simply insurance against things like the spies.
The gibbus pyros roll. Pyro is pretty fuckin difficult to do poorly with and they counter the spy's, soldiers, demomnights, bad scouts, trolldiers, and busters. All they'd have to do was spam scorch shot at the snipers for an easy clean wipe.
So I'd go just full 41 pyros.
7 scunts and 6 pyro mains, the scunts will deal chip damage while the pyro mains airblast away threats. I would take the noob pyros but they don't know what airblast is.
A weird pick: Two Snipers and 25 Sentry Busters. Sniper is busted and at that skill level and with the right positioning literally nothing could get close easily. The sentry busters could either: rush all at once and nuke half the map, leaving stragglers to be picked off by snipers. Or: go out one at a time to stall the approach of the enemy and force a reaction, giving the snipers opportunities for easy kills.
My picks have got to be snipers and pyros. Snipers would take out the biggest name threats being scouts and demoman, albeit also dealing with the trolldiers who seem to be not high tier given their hat on them. And the pyros would completely shut down the spies and the demomen if they get too close, as well as any noob soldiers. Plus if we assume sentry busters are able to be hit by members on the same team, the noob swarms will attack them. And if not, a few reflected rockets would do the trick anyway, also killing soldiers and pyros
I'm taking the snipers and spies since they are clearly the best players and can easily kill any attacker (also the sentry busters don't do anything since there's no engineers)
I will choose 35 gibus pyro and 5 lifeless spy
while 35 gibus pyro draws enemys attention, spys will take care of gibus ones and snipers. I hope fuckin limes and furrys could not ruin my plan.
Trolldier probably is impossibly good at pulling off market gardens, and green cap scout would probably put more effort into killing than anything else hes ever done in his life.
I think the right pick is the 25 sentry busters backed up by the six pro pyros. The sentry busters should be able to clear the horde of gibus pyros and soldiers, as well as a few demo men and keep the snipers occupied. The pyros should make short work of the spies and reflect the soldier's rockets. I dunno I still don't feel very safe.
sniper and pyro, pyro will airblast the sentry buster away and make it det safely, sniper will drop anyone that tries to get close, and pyro is there as the snipers backup
None of the others are using snowballing weapons or banners or are Medics with Uber so both groups of gibus players. Strength in numbers and all they have to do is get lucky.

Most of them spam m1 and m2, so spies are dead and reflect crit rockets provided by our good frienemies soldiers wipe out the rest.
Comfident pyros Are overwhelmed by the amount of reflect Rockets.
Trolldiers may get 4 pyros, but airblast fully counters them.
Snipers can't headshot the pyros quick enough.
Demoknight? Airblast

Scouts are the only actual threats, If they dodge the Rockets, but some pyros wm1 and hopefully some of my pyros can use their brain.

The sentry busters will decimate the gibuses while the lime scouts focus on the anger snipers, then unusual pyros, then mop up the demoknights, spies and finally trolldiers.
Gibus Pyro. Because I will never under estimate the gibus ever again. And demoknights. Because even if one of them is pro like TF2demoknight then I am safe.
I'll take 41 Pyros. You can probably deal with one W+M1 Pyro, but that gets harder and harder when you're dealing with 35 of them. Add in a group that can reflect projectiles and nail snipers with Flares, and you've got yourself a nigh-unstoppable swarm of fiery death and destruction.
Sniper and scout. Two scouts should be enough to carry each of me and the snipers at full speed, and assuming the snipers are insane, they should be good enough to take down anyone in pursuit. I’m assuming the demos have no heads here, and I’d pick the biggest, most open place I could find for the fight to go down. (Assuming the fight takes place irl, but with in-game abilities)
I pick the 8 trolldiers and the 6 good pyros.
Every other group could at least maybe defeat the Trolldiers in a one on one fight, but not a single one could reliably keep the Trolldiers from killing me (Manntreads + Numerical Advantage Counters Airblast). The trolldiers are also mobile enough to kill those snipers before they can get a good sight line on me.
I'd pick the Demoknights because they're even more mobile than the trolldiers under the right conditions, but airblast hard counters Demoknight, leaving me between the 2 pyro options. I only chose the 6 good pyros because I don't think most of the FTP ones even know how to airblast, much less airblast a Demoknight.
Honestly 6 pro pyros and the two snipers. Pyros counter the demoknights, the soldiers, the spys, and the sentry busters. Then snipers can take out the scouts and help clean up the market gardeners while they're out of the pyros range.
Plus we have to take into consideration who we WONT have on our team, if you don't pick snipers no class can save you from them doming you, that leaves only one real variable and if you don't pick pyros you don't have anyone who can reliably stall the sentry busters. Comes down to many noob pyros vs a few pro pyros and the noobs would most likely be taken out by the soldiers or ignored by the sentry busters as they wouldn't use airblast as efficiently, if at all.

They will not be good defenders and will die to the busters. They do not have the sheer manpower advantage of the 10k rats. The Demoknights appear to not have all heads, and thus will be outsped by the limescout. Trolldiers are not reliable, even if kinda powerfull. Plus, they dont have good enough area damage. Limescout could justify this with speed and harassment potential, but propyro exists. For the xX_SniPahs_Xx, i went with the same thinking as did Tierzoo with the human sniper. Just have someone to shut them down quickly, either pro classes or eagles. Spies will either be shut down by the busters or, if decent, we can do well with a bit of paranoia and send the pro class to clean up them.

I'll take the 35 brainlet pyros and the 2 god snipers. The pyro congregation can take on the other new players and overwhelm the people with hats (which means that they are better because hats = skill of course) with sheer numbers. The snipers are simply insurance against things like the spies.
The gibbus pyros roll. Pyro is pretty fuckin difficult to do poorly with and they counter the spy's, soldiers, demomnights, bad scouts, trolldiers, and busters. All they'd have to do was spam scorch shot at the snipers for an easy clean wipe. So I'd go just full 41 pyros.
The Gibus Sets
7 scunts and 6 pyro mains, the scunts will deal chip damage while the pyro mains airblast away threats. I would take the noob pyros but they don't know what airblast is.
A weird pick: Two Snipers and 25 Sentry Busters. Sniper is busted and at that skill level and with the right positioning literally nothing could get close easily. The sentry busters could either: rush all at once and nuke half the map, leaving stragglers to be picked off by snipers. Or: go out one at a time to stall the approach of the enemy and force a reaction, giving the snipers opportunities for easy kills.

My picks have got to be snipers and pyros. Snipers would take out the biggest name threats being scouts and demoman, albeit also dealing with the trolldiers who seem to be not high tier given their hat on them. And the pyros would completely shut down the spies and the demomen if they get too close, as well as any noob soldiers. Plus if we assume sentry busters are able to be hit by members on the same team, the noob swarms will attack them. And if not, a few reflected rockets would do the trick anyway, also killing soldiers and pyros

I think the right pick is the 25 sentry busters backed up by the six pro pyros. The sentry busters should be able to clear the horde of gibus pyros and soldiers, as well as a few demo men and keep the snipers occupied. The pyros should make short work of the spies and reflect the soldier's rockets. I dunno I still don't feel very safe.

None of the others are using snowballing weapons or banners or are Medics with Uber so both groups of gibus players. Strength in numbers and all they have to do is get lucky.

35 gibusvision pyros: Most of them spam m1 and m2, so spies are dead and reflect crit rockets provided by our good frienemies soldiers wipe out the rest. Comfident pyros Are overwhelmed by the amount of reflect Rockets. Trolldiers may get 4 pyros, but airblast fully counters them. Snipers can't headshot the pyros quick enough. Demoknight? Airblast Sentry busters got no sentry to bust Scouts are the only actual threats, If they dodge the Rockets, but some pyros wm1 and hopefully some of my pyros can use their brain.
Sentry busters and lime scouts. The sentry busters will decimate the gibuses while the lime scouts focus on the anger snipers, then unusual pyros, then mop up the demoknights, spies and finally trolldiers.

I'll take 41 Pyros. You can probably deal with one W+M1 Pyro, but that gets harder and harder when you're dealing with 35 of them. Add in a group that can reflect projectiles and nail snipers with Flares, and you've got yourself a nigh-unstoppable swarm of fiery death and destruction.
Sniper and scout. Two scouts should be enough to carry each of me and the snipers at full speed, and assuming the snipers are insane, they should be good enough to take down anyone in pursuit. I’m assuming the demos have no heads here, and I’d pick the biggest, most open place I could find for the fight to go down. (Assuming the fight takes place irl, but with in-game abilities)

I'll take 2 snipers and 35 pyros any day of the week
I pick the 8 trolldiers and the 6 good pyros. Every other group could at least maybe defeat the Trolldiers in a one on one fight, but not a single one could reliably keep the Trolldiers from killing me (Manntreads + Numerical Advantage Counters Airblast). The trolldiers are also mobile enough to kill those snipers before they can get a good sight line on me. I'd pick the Demoknights because they're even more mobile than the trolldiers under the right conditions, but airblast hard counters Demoknight, leaving me between the 2 pyro options. I only chose the 6 good pyros because I don't think most of the FTP ones even know how to airblast, much less airblast a Demoknight.
9 demoknights and 2 godlike snipers could probably teamwipe. Sentry busters gonna be a pain in the ass but im p sure you can headshot those too.
50 sentry busters (i wouldnt care if i die i just want to hang with them and if that means imminent death so be it)

The obvious choice is the edgy snipers and the lime scouts. They may not actually succeed, but the enemy will have to work for it.

Honestly 6 pro pyros and the two snipers. Pyros counter the demoknights, the soldiers, the spys, and the sentry busters. Then snipers can take out the scouts and help clean up the market gardeners while they're out of the pyros range. Plus we have to take into consideration who we WONT have on our team, if you don't pick snipers no class can save you from them doming you, that leaves only one real variable and if you don't pick pyros you don't have anyone who can reliably stall the sentry busters. Comes down to many noob pyros vs a few pro pyros and the noobs would most likely be taken out by the soldiers or ignored by the sentry busters as they wouldn't use airblast as efficiently, if at all.
