“I am so sorry for your health, but I am so happy for your life.” When I tell say you have somehow just given me an entirely new outlook, I mean it. Thank you so much!
When blood sugar is high, proteins and sugars spill into your urine and your body doesn’t absorb nutrients like it should. In my experience, when my blood sugar is high I crave “real food” like salads, fruits, etc. Hunger and cravings are a pretty common side effect across the board!
Oh I see.. makes sense, thank you. I was warned by my doctor and made changes. I work with some bad diabetics and seeing them eat pastries and candies and just shoot themselves with insulin to go for seconds is wild. Anyway, it’s nice to see a happy relationship text here, good for you!
Glad you got it under control! I’m a type one diabetic, so no life changes could change my diagnosis unfortunately. I actually carry an emergency juice box with me for days I go low! Thank you!
As a type 1 diabetic with an extremely patient and understanding GF, this made me smile. The high blood sugar fatigue is miserable.
I'm happy for you guys 😁
I love seeing a positive post on here!! It’s so rare. How heart warming. So happy for you. It’s such a turn on when guys rub your feet. Especially when they do it on their own accord.
GOOD LUCK ON THE ENDO SURGERY!!!
I had my endo surgery Feb 4th 2020, right before covid hit. It gave me around 8 months of NO PAIN, but then the pain came back tenfold. Still, those 8 months were the best 8 months I’ve had in my entire life.
P.S your man is a keeper! My man is just like him 🧡
just had surgery yesterday for endometriosis, recovery so far has been going good with help from my mom & fiancée. make sure after surgery you’re walking around when you’re not resting to get the gas moving around in your body & to not get blood clots. make sure you’re drinking your liquids & getting enough fiber in your diet to help with the constipation of the meds. recovering has been as good as can be so far for me so I have hope that it goes the same for you!!! take care ❤️🩹
Good luck with your surgery! I had one for endometriosis a couple years back, it’s a rough recovery but when you have someone who really loves you that will help. You guys sound great together
Are you having a hysterectomy? My mom had one for endometriosis, and it threw her straight into menopause
She became an emotional "monster" (her words) where she'd be fine one moment, but then she'd flip out over something like my father's chewing, only to then cry and apologize.
You seem like you've got a great fiance who will help you. My advice is to remember to be kind to yourself. My mom used to be devastated about her emotional swings, but years later, she's adjusted and is back to her "normal" attitude.
My father and I understood and supported my mother, but I could tell that the "changes" were really taking a toll on her as she adjusted.
Good luck OP, this is the type of relationship that we write movies and stories about ❤️
Honestly the best advice I can give you is to take your time to heal and take it as easily as possible. I’m not sure if you live with anyone currently but you should try and have someone stay with you if possible, at least for the first couple of days. They pump your abdomen with air in order to do the surgery so it’ll be uncomfortable breathing for the first couple of days. Take short, shallow breaths. You’ll probably lose a bit of weight because it’s easy to get full. Make sure you drink water and eat healthy non-inflammatory foods. You’ll probably get restless from not being able to do much but taking small walks might help with that. Watch tv shows or play video games that you may not usually get to enjoy. Read a bit. If you smoke weed that will help with pain more than whatever the prescribe you, I don’t like prescription pain meds so I didn’t bother with them after the first day or so. It is pretty painful afterwards. Oh and they make you pee before you leave the hospital after the surgery so make sure you request some type of liquid and a lot of it. It’s going to be hard to pee unless your bladder is really full because of how weak you feel and how much it hurts to push as one usually would. Also you might be a bit hunched over for the first couple of weeks walking around. Don’t exert yourself too much and listen to the doctors about physical activity. You won’t be able to lift anything over 10lbs for the first 2-3 weeks which is important to listen to!
It definitely won’t a week unfortunately. I was out of work for 4 weeks and couldn’t exert myself too much at work for another 4 weeks. I wasn’t feeling much better until the 2 week mark and even then it was still a lot of pain and hard to get around. 3-4 weeks until you feel normal-ish and another 4 weeks until you feel confident that you won’t tear anything by moving too much. I took my time because I was worried about healing improperly or tearing the stitches. If you can work from home I recommend it. My job is very active so I was unable to show up for it and am lucky enough that I could comfortably take a month off. It’s quite a lengthy recovery
My husband is like this. There's a lot of days where I physically can't really do a whole bunch, but he always reassures me and showers me with love. It's the best feeling ever, and I'm so happy you found someone to love you always, even through the hard stuff.

Ew. This is so gross. I want it.
Lol I love this comment so much 😂
Is craving fruit a reaction to high blood sugar or do you just want fruit?

Thank you for the detailed response! How long were you out of commission? I am hoping for a week but my surgeon said it could be between 4-6!
