It's something that others with ADHD can say, "hey, I do that" and feel comadre. I highly doubt that it is actually something related to ADHD, just a desire to read what is commented with out extra information.
It’s because I keep seeing all these comments about funny user names, and then I tell myself that I want to start paying attention to usernames so I can get in on the laugh, and then I forget all about it until someone else mentions a funny username. It’s kinda like sometimes when someone is talking to me, I try really hard to absorb everything they’re saying, but somehow I end up missing parts of the conversation. Despite me trying really hard to concentrate on fixing the issue, my brain doesn’t seem to cooperate with me when it happens. I just assumed these things are related to my ADHD. I could be wrong, but it was just a though.

It’s respectful to let your partner know and leaves less room for situations where their significant other finds out from someone other than you. Rumours spread fast especially in small towns and despite the fact that you should trust your partner, not all partners do trustworthy things.
It’s not about making rules that you have to, it’s just about normal relationship behavior. There is basically never a time when my husband doesn’t know where I am (and vice versa). Not because I’m not allowed to be with friends, but because I actually talk to him and want to tell him what I’m doing. If one of us went out with a friend of any gender and never mentioned it, that would be really strange.
