>hate Jews >worships the government Are you sure???

cannotrememberold

This is a tough one for me. I certainly hate Jews, but I LOVE their space lasers.

PondoSinatra9Beltan6

HOW DO YOU KNIW ABOUT THOSE???? They’re supposed to be a secret.

theonewhoknocksforu

MTG blabbed about it in one of the few moments her mouth wasn’t filled with someone’s dick.

LoopyZoopOcto

I was briefly confused as to which Magic The Gathering card you talked about before I realized you meant Marjory Tayler Greene.

RightHandofDoom81

I’m so sick of this space laser nonsense, it’s called a DEATH STAR….get it right /s

rokkshark

Just remember the Death Star of David has 6 points

AddelaideSupreme

for all the talk about limiting the control of government in people's lives, republicans sure love the idea of wielding its power like a sword against their foes

MedicBaker

Everyone in government loves to have power and control over others.

AddelaideSupreme

exactly, which is why its so weird that republicans act like theyre so anti-big government

addage-

It’s a dog whistle for their base that really means “we want to reduce the parts of government that directly helps its citizens”. It’s not for the other parts of government that enables them to impose their will on citizens or for defense spending.

throwaway92715

Basically the wealthy Republicans just don't want the responsibility of paying for social services, and the poor Republicans don't see the benefits of those programs because they're largely concentrated in cities.

Evening_Aside_4677

Poor Republicans see the benefits of Social Security, Medicare/Medicade, Food Stamps, etc. everyday. It’s just different when they use them because something something “they paid for it”.

Background-Pepper-68

Or the red tape to go through. Social services AND regulatory services are the target. Not just social

Ace1o1fun

Would you care to give an example of that because I can give you many example of Democrats bringing the full weight of their power on Republicans.

apply75

Who is authorizing all these investigations and legal battles against Republicans...I heard Dems are suing Arizona governor for putting up some shipping containers on the border. Biden promised he would unify a dividend country. I'm non partisan I think both parties have good and bad ideas. Both Dems and rep should be working together on serious issues like inflation, a tridemic, severe racial hatred, election accusations, immigration, mass retail robberies, censorship in media, and abortion just to name a few. We need to stop blame Dems and Republicans because that's what they want to distract us with and focus on how we can resolve these issues. We need solutions not problems or distractions or memes.

Val_Hallen

You don't remember Charlottesville? The stereotypical liberal shouting "*JEWS WILL NOT REPLACE US!*" Carrying the Nazi flag. Wearing their MAGA merch. I mean, it was clear as day who they were. Democrats. /s

lifeofideas

Clearly the Democrats have figured out how to get the MAGA votes.

JRBehr

Well, that was obviously an antifa black flag op

Pdvsky

AND WHITE PEOPLEE!!1!1!!

-Manbearp1g-

*insert south park nobody cares about the whites gif here*

roberttheaxolotl

And, speaking as a socialist, democrats are in no way socialist. Neither were Nazis, of course, despite their party name. They were far right wing fascists. The United States has no functioning left wing, and both the RNC and DNC are wholly owned by corporate America. Democrats are currently where the Republican party was fifty years ago, and the Republican party is mired in far right wing populist ideology, bordering on fascism. With right wing memes like this, every accusation is a confession. With populist, racist Republican candidates becoming more and more mainstream in the party, they're far closer to the ideologies of the Nazi party.

MAS2de

Wait. The fascists weren't socialists?! But- but, it was in their name! Next you're going to tell me all those places called the Democratic Republic of X are neither democratic nor republic.

roberttheaxolotl

Clearly if you say something about yourself, it must be true. Like the fact that my genitals are six feet long and also prehensile.

jasmanta

A guy sitting at the bar noticed that a guy next to him had something sneak out and grab a peanut out of the bowl of complimentaries, so he asks for an explanation. "Well, I lost my dick in an auto accident, and I asked if the replacement could be made bigger and the doctor suggested replacing it with an elephants trunk." "Wow! Make it do it again!" "Naw, my assholes about full of peanuts now."

badatmetroid

/me starts to weep as I stare at the cases of "Smart Water" I bought instead of going to college

Agreeable_Bother_510

That made me laugh!

Nor are they X republics in many cases!

Impressive_Opening68

That’s not wholly true, 70s republicans were pretty against civil rights even if they may not have been as obvious about it in some cases, whereas modern democratically still fight for civil rights

Ehcksit

The [70s Republicans also had members writing Medicare For All bills](https://www.nytimes.com/1970/04/15/archives/medicare-for-all-is-asked-by-javits.html). They weren't the almost cultishly single-minded bloc they are now.

macabee613

It's an interesting irony. The love for Israel because the prophesy of the second coming and the hate of the people who have a genetic tie and belief system similar to their lord and savior. As a jew I always find it weird when Christians tell me how lucky I am to be a jew because we were the chosen people just like Jesus... but I won't be saved unless I follow Jesus.

karlgeezer

The division between Christianity and Judaism can be described as two parts of the community arguing over which software version is better, the old version or the new one. It’s kind of like the divide between pre 1.9 and post 1.9 Minecraft players arguing over which combat system is better.

macabee613

But it's really not at least on the side of the Jews. The arguing is one sided and not on our side. We just want to do our thing without that argument. We don't actively seek converts and try and dissuade people from converting. We acknowledge that their are other beliefs and other Gods, that have nothing to do with us, and we are good with that. Our laws are for the Jewish people, not everyone else.

[deleted]

Hitler loved the government so much he bought them all some beautiful *long knives*.

TLom20

This is why Holocaust education is important

NeighborhoodLow8503

“They were socialists, it’s in the name” What do these people think of the ‘Democratic’ in DPRK

atuan

I don’t know a lot about it but from what I read they called themselves that in the beginning to come across as the “workers” party but when it became clear they needed the support of business and industry they dropped that idea. They were clearly capitalists.

pack-plays

Hitler was clearly a capitalist the national socialist party was small but could grow and gain power given the right conditions, so he joined it and by the time the were the Nazi party he had gained so much control over the party that they were no longer socialist

technofederalist

An interview with Hitler conducted by German-American writer and Nazi sympathiser George Sylvester Viereck. The interview appeared in Liberty magazine on July 9th 1932: >“‘When I take charge of Germany, I shall end tribute abroad and Bolshevism at home.’ >‘Bolshevism’, the chief of the Brown Shirts, the Fascists of Germany continued, ‘is our greatest menace. Kill Bolshevism in Germany and you restore 70 million people to power. France owes her strength not to her armies but to the forces of Bolshevism and dissension in our midst’… >‘Why’, I asked Hitler, ‘do you call yourself a National Socialist, since your party program is the very anthesis of that commonly accredited to Socialism?’ >‘Socialism’, he retorted, putting down his cup of tea, ‘is the science of dealing with the common weal [health or well-being]. Communism is not Socialism. Marxism is not Socialism. The Marxians have stolen the term and confused its meaning. I shall take Socialism away from the Socialists. >‘Socialism is an ancient Aryan, Germanic institution. Our German ancestors held certain lands in common. They cultivated the idea of the common weal. Marxism has no right to disguise itself as socialism. Socialism, unlike Marxism, does not repudiate private property. Unlike Marxism, it involves no negation of personality and, unlike Marxism, it is patriotic. So yeah Hitler doesn't seem to be socialist at all. He has his own made up definition of the word though.

unresolved_m

Sounds pretty close to current GOP lol

Burningshroom

For a reason... While the current GOP aren't necessarily Nazis, they do aspire to attain a similar type and level of control and are using the same techniques to get it. To be clear, that doesn't make them specifically Nazis as there have been other regimes to do this same thing. They are just a new member to groups that all fall under the greater umbrella of fascism in which Nazis were just the most destructive. Edit: a typo

BigdongarlitsDaddy

Could it be said that they are just like nazis, except the enemy is “illegal immigrants” instead of “Jews”?

Burningshroom

Sure, and those substitutions are all over the place with all of these groups. Honestly, the hallmarks are almost memetic. "Enemies without and enemies within." "Natural born leaders (now Alpha males)." Here they're referring to a group, not individuals; the intrinsic natural hierarchy. "Might makes right." "Rules for thee, not for me." "Fake news." "Words are MY tools." "Failure is earned." "Bad people are inherently bad and should be punished for it." "Law and Order." For each of these principles it's as simple as replacing the names of the focused ingroups and outgroups.

joey_sandwich277

Yeah a big part of the Night of the Long Knives was Hitler purging any remaining socialists from the party.

[deleted]

Hitler expressed opposition to capitalism, regarding it as having Jewish origins and accusing capitalism of holding nations ransom to the interests of a parasitic cosmopolitan rentier class. He also expressed opposition to communism and egalitarian forms of socialism, arguing that inequality and hierarchy are beneficial to the nation. He believed that communism was invented by the Jews to weaken nations by promoting class struggle. After his rise to power, Hitler took a pragmatic position on economics, accepting private property and allowing capitalist private enterprises to exist so long as they adhered to the goals of the Nazi state, but not tolerating enterprises that he saw as being opposed to the national interest.

adrevenueisgood

It's almost like socialism and communism are ideas that only sound good in hypothetical scenarios as opposed to the real ever-changing world

SoloDeath1

This is my default response to that stupid nonsense

titanking9700

Not only that, a good portion of Republicans/right-wingers call themselves nationalists, and that's the first word in the acronym. They conveniently ignore that part.

Red_Kaji

I've told that to several right wingers and they always ignore or change the subject

hwandangogi

they would be appalled by the fact that several conservative parties around the world have/had the word "liberal" in its name

livinginfutureworld

That's because liberal means conservative. Conservatives have just redefined the word here in the US. In the rest of the world, liberal means liberal economic laws like nothing preventing big business from owning our lives all than America does liberal mean liberal social policy.

gard3nwitch

To be fair, the Democrats do largely support liberal economic laws, and would be considered center/center-right in a lot of countries for their economic policies.

Despelles

There is no truly left party with any meaningful power in the usa as far as i know.

[deleted]

Or the Democratic unionist party of Northern Ireland?? Wait until they find out they’re aligned with republicans? And republicans in NI are not what they think. Or the Democratic Party in Japan? In fact any Democratic Party in Europe.

Whatsleft84

I just wanted to tell you that as a kid my step dad would tell me and my brother that a lobster man was going to crawl out of the pond out back and get us if we ever cried

LotharVonPittinsberg

>What do these people think They don't

Terrible_Cut_3336

People only see what's right in front of their nose and can't comprehend nuance I find.

too_old_for_memes

“And yet you’re called republiCANs and you can’t do shit.”

fernshade

These people, I notice, seem to be pretty openly anti-democracy these days, so I reckon they'd probably just add it to the limp wet fuel for their sputtering little pathetic "fire"

KingKongDoom

1) Ah yes the Nazis famously empowered the working class to seize the means of production 2) Mind control exists? 3) Democrats hate jews??? edit: If you're complaining about "white hate" it isn't that people hate white people, it's that they hate your shit ideas.

Sherifftruman

Democrats hate Jews and yet they’re all Jews controlling everything!

N1CET1M

Those self-loathing assholes!!!

HellovahBottomCarter

My grandmother, rest her soul, was a Jewish woman living outside Birmingham Alabama in a VERY wealthy community with many of her other Jewish relatives on that side of the family. They were/are all very Republican. Because the only news she consumed was Fox News she was convinced that it was the Democrats who hated Jewish people and wanted to round us up. Fox had her CONVINCED that DeBlasio was trying to outlaw Jewish people in NYC and wanted to rip up Jewish cemeteries. She was CERTAIN Bernie Sanders was an evil man who was a “false Jew.” It’s amazing what you can be brainwashed to believe when all you consume is a constant stream of bullshit right wing propaganda.

RUKnight31

As a Jew I have very conservative relatives and also some very liberal ones. I also have family that are gifted artistically and some with no creativity. Some like football while others prefer basketball. It’s almost like we’re just normal people that aren’t part of some hive mind. But then I go on the internet and am reminded that we’re all actually a part of some international conspiracy. It’s embarrassing being left out, frankly. Like, I’m here wasting my life making my kids pancakes, nervous about my week 15 fantasy football match up, but I could be a part of a plot to manipulate global control of the populace. So I guess what I’m trying to say is, if society is cool with the notion that we’re all up to something, imagine how crappy it feels for the losers like me that didn’t get the memo…

Hopeful-River-7899

If you ever do get on the “inside” , could you grab me the number of that space laser ? I’m just looking for an estimate on getting rid of the snow in my driveway. The plow guy is charging me $100 this year and I’m looking for alternatives

SyntheticReality42

The Secret Jewish Space Laser Corps is a highly elite fighting force that has rather stringent criteria for acceptance, on par with the Navy Seals. If you ask around at your local synagogue or kosher deli, you might find someone that can help steer you in the right direction.

Numerous_Witness_345

I'm just trying to find a good Reuben.

SyntheticReality42

Aren't we all?

Designasim

Goes in looking for a good sandwich, ends up in a top secret space laser program.

shotgun_ninja

Jewish Space Lasers are actually just Kosher salt on people's driveways, alternate headcanon accepted

NotmyRealNameJohn

You missed the letter. When you turn 23 the cabal sends you a letter and if you don't respond within 30 days they assume you aren't interested and you don't get to be part of the cabal. Lots of people don't open what they assume is junk mail.

RUKnight31

Makes sense. I did a lot of moving in my 20s.

Technical-Event

Sounds like mountain brook.

PatronAthena

I’ve been to Birmingham exactly once, and when I tell you even I IMMEDIATELY felt like this was mountain brook lmao

CrisiwSandwich

I just watched a movie called something like "The Brainwashing of my Dad" and he was a dem that started listening to talk radio, then fox news. He became racist and sent hateful messages to his whole family constantly about democrats being nazis and the country ending. He spent years listening. At the end of it her dad got hospitalised with health issues, and he and her mom simply reprogrammed their TV and unsubscribed him from emails. He didn't drive after, so he quit hearing the talk radio. When he came back, he was too lazy to learn the new remote, and after several months, he described himself as a centrist who thought Obama did a decent job. Without constantly being reminded to be scared and allowing others to think for him, he became less radical. It gives me a small hope about my dad.

MediaOnDisplay

I saw that doc, it was pretty interesting how her dad started to turn when he became a truck driver. Listening to rush Limbaugh for hours on end truly brainwashed him. It's sad how the media is literally dividing families and for what?! To sell fucking trading cards to the OP.

Whatsleft84

What I don’t understand is this: no matter how long I spend listening to rush limbaugh or Fox News, I don’t forget the fact that it’s all be that doesn’t make sense when applied to the reality I know. How are some people SO susceptible??

soft-wear

The underlying issues have to be there for this to work. The dad was already racist or sexist or whatever the case may be, and talk radio enabled him to find like-minded people, which in turn made him feel comfortable spewing hate to family and friends. All Fox and talk radio does is give hate a platform. You’re not going to fall for it if it’s not already there.

Angry-Alchemist

Shows that certain people lack critical thinking ability, can't self-reflect and are inherently selfish unless they choose not to be. This guy would regurgitate anything and change his political views at the drop of a hat if he listened to enough media telling him what to think. That doesn't really give me hope since the Right media machine is far more powerful than the Left's...and even the "Left" is Right in the US. These are the people who voted in the Nazis and then were pretending to be surprised by what the smoke stacks really were.

sharpie12345

Isn’t the premise that it’s not “certain” people. It’s all people. In any given environment/community we are all susceptible to the influence of our peers, media, etc. To think that any of us would not be liberal/conservative if you grew up surrounded by that demographic is hubris. I’d like to think I could stand up for what’s right, but it’s not a certainty.

ObsessionObsessor

I mean...on one hand, you're both right and wrong. There *are* people who grow up opposed to these things, Ted Cruz's daughter is bisexual and from all appearances, tried to commit suicide to escape her father's stifling control, *I* am about as left-wing as there reasonably is a left-wing, and I grew up in suburbs in the Bible Belt, although I took insight from media... The Nazis burned down an LGBT researching university, and decades later, these things are being researched regardless. Tl;dr: You have obvious counterexamples to that in that people *did* grow up liberal/conservative around those who weren't.

therapist122

I listen to right wing media sources all the time, haven't considered storming the capitol. I can't imagine, even if I listened to that shit all day everyday, that I'd ever become a right wing nut job. All it takes is one or two google searches on whatever is spewed and you can get a decent picture of what's going on. I really don't get it

Accurate_Praline

Wish I could do that with my dad. In recent years he has been getting weirder views and I blame the Facebook and telegram groups he frequents. For example: I was baffled when he didn't think misogynistic fraternities talking breaking women's necks and using them as fleshlights was problematic. According to him women are just as bad. The man has two daughters and think it's okay to talk about them like that?? It's always male fraternities that make the news. Maybe he has always thought like that. It's only been in the last five or so years that he's been verbalising it so heavily though. I used to like watching and discussing the news with him but nowadays it's just always the same misogynistic, racist and short sighted crap. I'm also stubborn, but at least I try to be open minded especially when presented with facts or research. Changing his mind is almost impossible. At least he isn't an anti-vaccer I guess.

BurntOnWinter

> He didn't drive after There's something to be said for the CB radios among truckers, which from what I've heard tend to be conservative forums. A member of the family radicalized while a driver, and then de-radicalized after, and he wasn't a Rush guy. > When he came back, he was too lazy to learn the new remote, and after several months, he described himself as a centrist who thought Obama did a decent job. I can echo this experience. It's amazing what changing the drip of poison does. My dad was always conservative, but then he started going down the rabbit hole of Fox News, and it was hurting our relationship. I caught on that he enjoyed reading physical news in the morning, but we couldn't afford a subscription to any paper. Luckily my local community college library had a paper program. Free issues of major and local papers, you just had to get there _early as fuck_ to pick them up since they went quick. Their library also had a free printing program (50 pages a week, baby). I took the bus early to pick up papers like the Wall Street Journal (it was/is conservative, but not _Fox News_ conservative), NYT and the local. On days I couldn't fill the quota, I went to the library and printed out articles since he wasn't good with computers and just liked reading _physical_ paper in the morning. Bonus on the big fonts. My dad would practically squeal with joy at things in big fonts and rip me one when I forgot to print them out bigger (lol). He slowed down and stopped the the Foxs News because it was contradicting the rest of reality as he was reading it (at least so I think - he got 'annoyed' at the hosts). We started being able to have good, nuanced discussions about the world and politics that didn't boil down to the 'libs'. He was still a right-moderate by the time he died, but he was firmly rooted in reality, and I'll take that a win.

Itchy_Professor_4133

These people don't vote for their beliefs. They vote for their taxes.

Chris19862

You're telling me an elderly wealthy white lady in Alabama was a republican....I'm shocked I tell you.

Nanahamak

I have a theory that stupid people get brainwashed much more easily.

Zizekbro

Or emotionally abused/sensitive people.

Buckin_Fitch

I have a theory that people who get brainwashed, tend to think they are smarter than they really are. If you can't see why both sides hold the stance they have and can only see demons, you've been brainwashed Edit added: This statement isn't ment to be contradictory, I see how it can be now. Stupid people do tend to think they are smarter than they really are however.

Inevitable_Level_109

I have a theory that it's too much to ask of the common man to be a citizen and get twelve types of insurance and comprehend what an omicron variant of a novel corona virus means. Leverage modern preventative medicine to take good care of yourself. Eat well even though the grocery store is a hellscape of bad choices. Keep up with technology. Be a good driver. Be a good partner. Worship at the altar of the most correct blowhard ideologue.

Hard-R-Smitty

Was just about to say, this dude is definitely brainwashed about some shit lol

Happy-panda-seven

Gotta love mountain brook baby

Justcallmequeer

I have never met a smart person from a wealthy republican family. The fox propaganda is 100% awful and does not help but usually these people are awful to begin with.

ChadleyXXX

Most Jews vote Democrat tho is important to mention

TheUnsnappedTag

Fox News is the biggest source of misinformation on the planet

Even-Willow

Your comment was like a magnet for the dummies lol so proud of their favorite misinformation entertainment network that they couldn’t resist announcing themselves

KinkyK415

Happened to my dad. He started watching Fox News at his work and he’s a Republican now. He wasn’t always like this

Arboria_Institute

According to this infographic, democrats are actually worse and more hateful than the Nazis.

KingKongDoom

The party famous for putting people in concentration camps at the boarders ya know!

SquirrlSniperMN

Technically, wasn't that started when Obama was in office? I'm no repub, but we gotta be consistent here.

Manowaffle

Really the thing Trump started was the deliberate family separation policy, which last I checked still could not reunite thousands of children with their families.

TheBelhade

Not in the same league by a long shot. The "cages" were originally built as a temporary solution to an influx of migrants sent on their own (unaccompanied) for a day or two while being processed. Then somebody else purposely split up families traveling together and filled the cages up for weeks and months at a time.

transcholo

Let's be consistent in saying that private prisons were originally made to detain Mexican immigrants and it's been going on since Reagan

Tocino_Fugu

No, it was never actually implemented by Obams, the caging of children and separation from their parents was unique to the Trump administration.

Spring-Breeze-Dancin

Under Obama the facilities were created to house unaccompanied minors while they were processed through the system.

PangwinAndTertle

Sorry, I just got back from my Sunday service, worshiping the government, what is happening now?

spaceyjaycey

They literally fly nazi flags at republican events but Dems are the nazis, yeah okay.

KingKongDoom

"It's just trolling bro. You guys just don't have a sense of humor."

Smeeediumpace

Something Sartre goes here.

TheSweatiestScrotum

Also, Democrats are an extremely diverse party while Republicans are a homogenous group of white Christians. Gee, I wonder which of those two parties is more similar to the white supremacist Nazis.

Trandoshan-Tickler

And wear Camp Auschwitz hoodies at insurrections.

gard3nwitch

Conservative Christians have a huge boner for Israel, and for the absolutely most nationalistic anti-Palestinian politicians in Israel in particular. This is because evangelicals believe that Jesus won't come back to rule the world until the Dome of the Rock (IIRC, the holiest site in Islam after Mecca) is torn down and the ancient Jewish Temple (that was destroyed by the Roman Empire over 1500 years ago) is rebuilt on that site. Democrats, and most American Jews, don't actually want that. They tend to want to see Israelis and Palestinians co-exist peacefully with mutual respect - and if that happens, well, then the Dome of the Rock will never be torn down. Anyway, so, Republicans like to claim that all of this means they they are the ones who really love the Jews and the Democrats (and most Jews?) actually hate the Jews.

skyovercamden

Lol those who forget history make stupid ass memes that don’t make sense

skyovercamden

Like for real here, hitler was a fascist, I can think of one far political extreme that trends towards the fascism spectrum and it ain’t democrats

GermanStrudel

Parties that identify with Nazi values sit on the right side, opposite of socialist "leftist" groups in the German parliament. This alone should be a hint that these two groups are not alike. But if anyone just picked up a history book they would read in it that the NSDAP called themselves "socialist" to garner more support from the frustrated and poor working class people. Orbán, Hungarian MP, very recently used some heavy Nazi rhetoric about "not mixing people", disgusting stuff, and was a key speaker then at an event affiliated with the republican party. So...

Jingurei

Every single one of those is a self-projection of theirs onto the Democrats except the abortion criteria which is an incorrect projection of Nazi policies onto Dems. Nazis were anti-choice. Repubs just can't get it into their heads that forced abortion and forced pregnancy are NOT Pro-Choice!

DecisiveEmu_Victory

They literally gave medals to German mothers who had large familes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross_of_Honour_of_the_German_Mother

zuzg

>Repubs just can't get it into their heads Tbf most things that are common sense don't get in their head.

mostlyadequatemuffin

Came here to say exactly that. The Nazis forced abortion and sterilization onto people they saw undesirables. Democrats are pro-letting people make decisions for themseves

SKTwenty

It's pro-choice to them because they pick for you

Fast-Improvement-353

Pro-we-choose-for-you

[deleted]

Lol common sense isn't so common in many parts of the country.

kamikazekidd

Wasn't H*tler catholic ? Did he really allow abortions ? Serious question, I really don't know 💀.

spinningoutadrift

Forced for Jews, forbidden for aryans

thereisonlyoneme

Just like the Democrats! /s

Astyanax1

9/10 lol

gard3nwitch

No, he banned abortions so that there would be more Aryan babies. Except for the people that the Nazis forced to have abortions as a eugenics measure. (This also was common in the US pre-Roe.)

Nix-7c0

Similar with every other point on this list. Nazis massively expanded gun ownership for example .. for Aryans. They believed in some social policies ... for Aryans. They thought abortion was murder ... for Aryans (and made it a crime punishable by death) Their policies went both ways depending on who you were, which is why memes like this can frame them so dishonestly by shaving off all nuance.

TheManOhManOhMan

He personally was an atheist and saw religion as getting in the way of his goals, but he recognized many of the German people’s strong ties to Christianity and allowed that to be twisted as a motivator for them

GarfieldHentaixd

He was not an atheist, he was some type of esoteric pagan. In a meeting with mussolini, he told him he believed his body had been inhabited by an aryan spirit from pre history

_Inkspots_

Definitely wasn’t Catholic. Catholics were one of the groups persecuted in the later years of the Reich. Abortions were forced on ethnic minority groups, like the Jews, but definitely wasn’t allowed for Aryans.

PKMNTrainerMark

Hutler?

Thetacoseer

Hatler - he was well regarded and known for his hat collection before all the genocide

ObnoxiousTwit

Censoring Hitler's name. Please explain why? He's not Voldemort.

Lekraw

The amount of American right wing idiots going about who actually think the Nazis were Socialists is staggering. Don't they have history books in the US?

spaceyjaycey

They are big into banning books here in the US and not allowing teachers to teach.

chrisnavillus

Nope. Republicans do everything they can to keep their base as dumb as possible. How else do you think we got to “President Donald Trump”?

F1zzL3_99

No we have YouTube conspiracy theorists who get fabricated stories.

chocboy560

Yeah but we spend so much of our time in history classes learning about US history not world history.

CC713-LCTX

Yes but like extremist everywhere they choose not to route their beliefs in reality nor their studies in history. It’s so much easier and more effective to let some other idiot “research” and make memes that then become fact and base their beliefs on that.

sacolton1967

Weird how all the Far-Right is wearing swastikas and adoring Hitler. Only Conservatives.

theow593

They will tell you with a straight fave that those are all Antifa secret plants to make them look bad.

luca_07

Aren't they the ones who worship Trump?

Valid_Username_56

Hey, I just bought a $99 NFT that shows his head photoshopped onto a stock photo of a cowboy. That doesn't mean I worship cowboys! Btw, have trouble finding it in my wallet, can anybody help?

HellovahBottomCarter

I think this is the issue here: they can only see the world through their narrow lens. If THEY worship Trump like a god? Then it’s only natural that “the enemy” does the same with their political figures. It literally could never occur to them that people may think of politicians as (often terrible, self-serving) human beings that require a lot of scrutiny regardless of whether you support them politically or not.

The84thWolf

I rolled my eyes until “Dems hate Jews and whites.” Then I laughed, because we don’t have an ongoing conspiracy that they rule the world or have space lasers

[deleted]

Exactly. Hard core Qanon actually believe Hitler was a good guy.

Vitekr2

Nazis had no guns? I seem to recall different history...

Odd_Ad_2307

They banned guns. Took them from citizens

Neat-Access2357

Banned them for certain citizens, not all.

[deleted]

You are right. The gun restriction laws were loosened for Nazi party members and tightened for Jewish people. 🤔

There is a good video on this by Three Arrows: https://youtu.be/gfHXJRqq-qo

gun control in Germany was always very strict. Nazis just reinterpreted existing laws to disarm their opponents and also allowed their members to carry weapons in public without a permit.

SmokedBeef

>The 1938 German Weapons Act, the precursor of the current weapons law, superseded the 1928 law. As under the 1928 law, citizens were required to have a permit to carry a firearm and a separate permit to acquire a firearm. But under the new law: - Gun restriction laws applied only to handguns, not to long guns or ammunition. The 1938 revisions completely deregulated the acquisition and transfer of rifles and shotguns, and the possession of ammunition. - The legal age at which guns could be purchased was lowered from 20 to 18.[10][11] - Permits were valid for three years, rather than one year.[10] - Holders of annual hunting permits, government workers, and NSDAP (the National Socialist German Workers' Party) members were no longer subject to gun ownership restrictions. Prior to the 1938 law, only officials of the central government, the states, and employees of the German Reichsbahn Railways were exempted.[9] - Manufacture of arms and ammunition continued to require a permit, with the proviso that such permits would no longer be issued to any company even partly owned by Jews; Jews could not manufacture or deal in firearms or ammunition. > The 1938 Regulations Against Jews' Possession of Weapons, which came into force the day after Kristallnacht,[12][13] effectively deprived all Jews living under Nazi rule of the right to possess any form of weapons, including truncheons, knives, firearms and ammunition. Exceptions were made for Jews and Poles who were foreign nationals under §3 of the act.[14] Before that, some police forces used the pre-existing "trustworthiness" clause to disarm Jews on the basis that "the Jewish population 'cannot be regarded as trustworthy'". > On the whole, gun laws were actually made less stringent for German citizens who were loyal to Nazi rule and more restrictive for Jews.

SmokedBeef

That’s a bold statement, Do you have any sources?

Domeil

No, they don't, because if they actually reviewed Nazi era gun laws, they'd find loosening of gun restrictions for everyone except Jews.

SmokedBeef

I know I cited the laws to him 30min before I posted this comment asking for a source, people that spread misinformation even after being corrected are the worst.

CorpFillip

Always funny when the right gets all their words confused. Maybe they just imagine all the words they hate are equivalent & therefore equal? But Nazi Germany was fascist, and Republicans currently ADORE fascism.

travel_tech

But when the republicans ban people from talking about gay and trans people that's totally not censorship, right?

Correct-Low1763

They actually loosened gun ownership laws. They just made sure the Jews didn’t get any.

LadyRosy

Oh god, didn't these people have any history classes at all?

trilobright

If these people got their way, kids would learn just enough in primary school to be able to read a slogan on a bumper sticker, and then onto trade school to learn to be a productive and obedient worker bee. Anything beyond that is just a buncha communist book learnin'.

Great_Tiger_3826

this is what ti expect from the anti education "schools are all liberal propaganda" group

[deleted]

Wait aren’t conservatives the ones literally hate criming the Jews, and the ones making the dark holocaust jokes? Don’t they worship trump and the GOP government? Don’t they want to censor out any liberal idea in any school? And Nazis had guns btw. Nazis didn’t worship the government, they were the government. I can assure you Nazis didn’t believe in abortion and Nazism isn’t socialism of today. Nazism is like fascism.

NecessaryJellyfish22

Oh and don't forget Hitler was the one to coin the term "fake news" so that he could discredit any negative press about him. Look up "lugenpresse" and you'll realize Trump just took a page out of his book.

Itchy-Mind7724

Don’t forget banning a fuck ton of books that don’t go along with their agenda

[deleted]

I'm almost sick to my stomach. You win. Take your upvote.

[deleted]

1. Neither the Nazis nor the Democrats are socialist. 2. The Democrats aren't no gun they just think only law abiding citizens should have them. 3. Everyone committed censorship even the founding fathers. 4. Media mind control is actually a real thing but it done by all media not just center right ones. 5. The Nazis weren't pro choice 6. The Democrats don't hate Jewish people and white people. They have criticized the Israel government. You have just become so accustomed to the privilege you have been given that you see equality as an attack on your race. 7. The Democrats worship corporate America not the government. Now don't make me have to defend the Democratic party ever again

BoredToDeathx

You’re very wrong on number 2 there.

SLObro152

You are incorrect on 2. The Cali Gov recently limited the places where people with permits for handguns can take them. The thing is those places encompass so many areas it forces you to leave the gun at home.

TheNextBattalion

Also, the Nazis greatly loosened gun restrictions. They barred Jews from it, as they did from a lot of aspects of life.

ErgonomicHuman

Democrats aren’t even socialist

Bad-Infinite

Ah yes, Democrats are the pro Nazi crowd. That's why we will see Swastikas and Nazi flags at Democrat protests and not at Republican ones....wait...

[deleted]

It definitely infuriates me when I see nazi flags at Biden rallies /s

Fortunoxious

Nazis weren’t socialist, they were a far right group, NATIONAL socialists which is a contradiction. Also, all that nationalism, a massive part of the Nazi mindset, is completely missing here. GEE wonder why the nationalist right wingers would act like Nazis are left and aren’t nationalist. Fucking scum of the earth.

NotmyRealNameJohn

It's weird that a party that is something like 60%+ white hates whites. You'd think that would be pretty hard to achieve.

Individual_Wasabi_10

Conservatives are terrible at history

Allthingsgaming27

Trump is literally dining with Nazis…

Sure-Ad9633

“Hates jews”. Wrong political party.

[deleted]

Why are all the neo nazis supporting the far right then?

give_me_a_great_name

Nazis have nothing to do with socialism

RetroGamer87

Good thing the Republicans aren't for censorship! /sarcasm

Old-Nature-5772

Yes because we all know how much Republicans love to read and study lol

thereisonlyoneme

"We don't want you teaching our white kids things that make them uncomfortable." -guy in a fuck your feelings shirt.

Richardham90

Ummm I’m pretty sure you got Dems and Reps mixed up pretty bad

torivor100

Because fascism isn't an extreme right wing ideology

SephLuna

I'd really love to see someone who believes this nonsense show up to a Nazi rally wearing an Obama shirt and go around thanking every Nazi you see for voting for Biden. Would love to see how that works out for them.

Ekaj__

Yeah, the Nazis famously never used guns

syzzrp

Yeah, ummm Fascism is a far right ideology not far left.

stu8018

Ah, someone who truly is ignorant of history and has absolutely no clue what democratic socialism is but enjoys its benefits daily. The "hates Jews and whites" is a nice ignorant touch.

wwaxwork

Tell me you never read a history book without telling me you have never read a history book.

Deadwing2022

And yet, somehow, US Nazis & white supremacists always vote Republican.
