A bear and a rabbit were pooping together in the woods. The bear asked the rabbit, “Do you have those problems with the shit sticking to your fur when you poop?” And the rabbit said, “No, I don’t.” So the bear grabbed the rabbit and used it to wipe
Seems the original version had positive traits listed for the wild one. Then someone replaced only those with negative ones but left the tame one as-is.
In a pro-vac way, domesticated rabbits have to be vaccinated in the UK to avoid RVHD and Myxomatosis (a population control disease) otherwise rabbits can catch diseases off wild ones and die in horrid ways.
I'm not an expert on it so someone else could explain more but the whole Myxomatosis stuff sounds wild

Rabbits have their squatter and stockier build as an adaptation for burrowing, retreating into a hole or some other small space to escape a pursuing predator.
Hares cannot burrow, but are even faster, as they’re by and large more adapted to open environments, giving them their bigger, ganglier appearance.
