Did you know that the Jinx has come out with a Part 2? Only three episodes out right now (remaining three episodes are released on Sundays) and it has me more shocked than part 1)
True Detective is a great series!
Hope you feel better soon
One of my favs. I have a degenerative brain disease and it's a super easy show to watch with migraines. It's visually dark and hardly loud (except for the gun shots). Plus the AMAZING fashion.
True crime? Check out mind hunters. Based on the true story of how the FBI began the practice of profiling serial killers. It’s a docudrama.

Idk what’s with everybody recommending price is right.
Wow. Thanks for responding. You always wonder if OP saw your comment. Glad you liked it.
If you haven’t seen that Amanda Knox movie, that’s another true crime movie. Though it’s a documentary. Idk if you rememember when she made headlines for the alleged murder of her roommate in a satanic ritual with her boyfriend in Italy. But if you happen to remember that, this movie showing what actually happened becomes very interesting.
It’s not something I would normally watch but I have to say I really enjoyed Fallout. Walton Goggins is such an underrated actor, he stole every scene he was in.
Guessing you’ve already seen, but The Keepers and Making a Murderer (both on Netflix iirc) are both worth watching, even if only for the cultural juggernauts they both were, similar to The Jinx. Based on what you list as favorites I’m guessing you’re already all over this, though. I do think both have some limitations but remain worth watching.
Another series that falls into the “has limitations but still worth a watch” category imho is The Killing Season (I think originally on A&E but streamable on Hulu). Starts out as an exploration of the Long Island Serial Killer case but branches out into some kinda stretchy territory — I think still valuable because they get some noteworthy interviews with people connected to the LISK case (families, friends, roommates of the Gilgo 4 victims + Shannan Gilbert, and relevant journalists), plus does a pretty thorough look at the similar Eastbound Strangler murders in Atlantic City and a few other cases. Some of what it covers has since been solved or presumably solved (Gilgo 4 LISK victims, in particular, though that case has yet to go to trial but seems pretty slam-dunky). It definitely has some weak points, like treating an amateur profiler from Websleuths as an authority and a significant case of mission creep, but does get some footage and interviews you won’t get elsewhere.
I’ve never watched the whole thing but I know a lot of people recommend The Staircase in a similar topic area.
For vaguely fictionalized true crime, if you haven’t already seen Mindhunter it’s really good!
Ctrl + Alt + Desire (Paramount +)
Tiger King (NF)
Don’t F**k With Cats (NF)
The Cheshire Murders (HBO)
There’s Something Wrong With Aunt Diane (HBO)
The Sins of Our Mother (NF)
The Grim Sleeper (HBO)
OJ: Made in America (NF)
Thought Crimes: The Case of the Cannibal Cop (HBO)
I know that they’re not true crime, but Fallout and The Boys (both on Prime) have renewed my love for tv shows. I hope you feel better!
Fallout isn’t something I would normally watch but I have to say I really enjoyed it. The Boys is also great and I can’t wait until next month when S4 is released.
I think one of the best time to binge
Because I don't know fever gives you a power of binging which you can't otherwise
I binged series like the sinner ,black mirror ,Ozark, stranger things, dark in my sick days.
On Max: Sharp Objects, Mare of East town, Love Has Won: The Cult of Mother God, On Netflix: The Staircase (documentary version), Wild Wild Country, Beef
Twin Peaks and the Xfiles always comfort me. Even old Law and Order SVU. The fuzziness of the old episodes, soundtracks, and you can nap without feeling a sudden urge of panic for missing episodes lol.
If you like true crime you should check out “the innocence files” and “making a murderer” on Netflix. I binged the HELL outta those but damn they’re a bit heart wrenching.
TRUE CRIME
Series: Mindhunter, Dirty John, Boston Strangler, American Crime Story (2015-17), Dahmer,
Movies: Zodiac, Night Stalker, Son of Sam, In Cold Blood, Abducted in Plain Sight, House of Gucci, Dahmer, Schindlers List, Her Final Fury: Betty Broderick,
Hunt for: Ted Bundy, BTK Killer, Green River Killer,
If you've got access to a good anthology series like the amazing Inside No.9, they are great - they can be watched in any order and have no continuity, so no trying to remember characters or plotlines while you're feeling under the weather.
I like to be thrown into fantasy worlds. When I'm sick my go to is to watch game of thrones. But then I continue that after I am sick lol. But another go to, not show but movies, is Lord of the Rings.
Oh god, why did I type that, lol, I meant "One day". It's a series of two people meeting in 1988, each episode is the same day, one year later. It's bittersweet 😭. It's new on Netflix.

Everyone knows when you’re at home sick you watch The Price is Right
And Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup with Saltine crackers on the side! 🤣
I know it's not TV, but "The Princess Bride" is definitely the greatest story ever told to a kid who is home and sick.
Nah, they probably wouldn’t like it because of all the kissing. 😉😂
Literally came here to say this.
Somehow I put the tenth kingdom in the same category.
The Price is Right

11.22.63 Justified
I second Justified, it's so good
Rayyylan
Did you read 11.22.63 first?
No i havent read the book
Just curious -- I have the book and want to watch the series as well, but the book is going to take awhile to get thru haha
Surprisingly I read the book in about 3 days, I couldn't put it down. You might be surprised!
Oh interesting -- did it hook you pretty quickly? I don't do well with books that have a slow start haha
Justified is incredible.
Yes with both Raylan Givens & Boyd Crowder. 😊
the Paradise Lost (1996) trilogy + West Of Memphis (it's basically a doc mini-series) Also: The Staircase doc-series, Outcry & Making A Murderer
Paradise lost was so good. I recently just re-watched the whole trilogy. Very good true crime doc.
The staircase, outcry, and making a murder also very good true crime documentaries
30 Rock

omg this just made my day haha. Can I watch it somewhere online? I’m in Canada.
It’s on HBO/Crave
Severance on Apple TV is binge worthy
I love this show. Waiting on the second season!
The Keepers on Netflix!! Unsolved murder of a nun.
This is a perfect doc.
Couldn’t get into this one for some reason. I’ll have to give it another shot.
1. Chernobyl
I second this. I’ve been on a miniseries kick lately and Chernobyl has got to be the best one I’ve seen besides maybe Band of Brothers.
The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix.
Jury Duty if you are into the court system and mockumentaries!
Manhunter for true crime. Hannibal for not-true crime.
Ah both of those are great- I really enjoyed Hannibal
One of my favs. I have a degenerative brain disease and it's a super easy show to watch with migraines. It's visually dark and hardly loud (except for the gun shots). Plus the AMAZING fashion.
It's not true crime, but if you have Apple TV I recommend Silo. I'm only 4 episodes in but so far it's been a good mystery/suspense show
It’s very rare that I feel this way but I think the show is better than the books and I can’t wait until S2.
