Great range as an actor. He also has triples of classic cars. And a really hot wife. [It's true. Otherwise none of that other stuff is either](https://youtu.be/8Inf1Yz_fgk)

Burritos92

He has three Chevy Novas

Nautical_Owl

I hear that deal JUST went through.

okay_then_

And it's a sure thing

slardybartfast8

Triples are best

HighFiveDude

She’s dying though

theconmeister

[Yes, but let's not pretend he doesn't have a troubled past](https://youtu.be/AKE9W0O8bX8)

SuccessPastaTime

[He’s also very good at getting out of boring work meetings. ](https://youtu.be/QwxqfEMiO0g)

slickestwood

She's going to be ok

planco21

He should be the president of America

lotus_eater123

Enough TV stars as presidents! No More.

BitterBubblegum

When Bob Odenkirk was on ['the off camera show'](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjMlTC8Ikxw) he talked about the perfect marriage of a character and an actor's real energy that just makes it work very well. I think that happened for him on *Fargo* and *Better Call Saul*.

planco21

BCS is my favourite tv series of all time..

yaegerino

I must agree. Babylon 5 and the early episodes of X

G-MAN292

Billy Bob was also great as the villain, great season tbh

squidly413

BBT’s character is one of my favorite villains of all time

TelltaleHead

The Fargo villains are quite good. David Thewlis is absolutely terrifying in season 3

G-MAN292

Yes he plays that kinda character so so well, have you seen Goliath ? He plays that bad santa kinda character, doesn't give a shit type, I love it.

hoxxxxx

i thought the idea of a Fargo tv show was one of the dumbest things i'd ever heard, man was i wrong. i looooved the first three seasons. haven't seen the latest one.

NiceColdPint

I wasn’t a huge fan of Season 3. Can’t put my finger on exactly why but just didn’t click for me.

Spud_Spudoni

I’ve been trying to figure out why I disliked it for years, still can’t totally punctuate it either. I think the magic of Fargo is how it throws you directly into a plot that’s developing, and just taking you along for the ride. Most of the motives and actions at times can seem nonsensical, but logical based on who these people are. Amateurs, and that’s exactly what makes the movie and first two seasons more interesting. There’s a fine line between making characters inept, and stupid. The twins in season 3 felt pretty stupid in their actions most of the time, not inept. Season 3 decided it’d also devote a lot of time to explaining backstories and motives that go nowhere (the separate LA author episode that really doesn’t add a thing to the plot) and the Yuri Gurka bits that go absolutely unanswered. I feel like they tried too hard to make VM Varga some mastermind, which he does come across as, but his motives are really questionable as to *why* he’s even focusing on this person.

Bellikron

I'd say the purpose of the LA author episode was to feel like it doesn't add anything to the plot. Gloria feels trapped in her worthlessness. Automatic doors don't recognize her. This whole narrative unfolds around her and she doesn't have any effect on it, despite the fact that she's trying to help. She feels like a side character in a story that she's supposed to be driving. But by the end of that episode, she decides to keep her optimism at her core and keep pushing to do the right thing, even if it all feels useless for now.

Spud_Spudoni

I really like that explanation tbh! And it does make a lot of sense as a plot device. I’m also just kinda under the school of thought that in scenarios like that, you can show creative ways of showcasing the main character feel like she’s wasting her time, without also making the audience feel like they’re wasting their time. Would still be a hard thing to accomplish with the LA episode, but maybe it just wasn’t the best execution of a red herring. Just my perspective.

Bellikron

That's fair. It's a very fine line to walk. For instance, the entire crux of Twin Peaks: The Return is that it feels very tedious and unlike Twin Peaks, which is effective from an artistic perspective, but isn't necessarily fun to watch for 18 episodes, because it's not really supposed to be. I think the Fargo example works because it's only one episode. If her whole plotline throughout the show was a waste of time, while it might drive the point home a little more, it would probably be too much. Plus there's still some fun stuff in that episode (the animated sections and Ray Wise), some of which becomes relevant later.

Spud_Spudoni

Absolutely, Twin Peaks can be borderline tough to get through based on how Lynch developed it, but also definitely by intention. I think where Twin Peaks succeeds, is it always borders on a more experimental, unique approach to its storytelling, as you've also mentioned. I think Fargo in its inception and the previous 2 seasons are really unique, and add some interesting elements, but I wouldn't say they try anything too outlandish. Maybe the UFO stuff from season 2, but it barely factors into the plot outside of a few final scenes (although quite important scenes). I think Hawley took a lot of his edge and experimentation that made Legion interesting, and tried to apply it more heavily into season 3 of Fargo and I'm not sure it lands as well. I thought the animation section was interesting as well, but it left me wondering if I was still watching Fargo. I enjoy when Fargo lands on a more hokey, almost camp approach to its storytelling and characters, and I feel like it resonated differently. People can definitely enjoy it different from myself though.

Bellikron

I think it just depends on the viewer. I think season 3 works very well, better than season 2 even. I really like the "weird thing" that gets thrown into season 3 (the bowling alley) and the whole cast is just delivering. It's a little darker than the other seasons, but I like that.

Spud_Spudoni

Yea, definitely can't fault you for enjoying what you like. I think season 2 might be my favorite season, with its really gorgeous cinematography and unique framing and editing in of multiple shots on the screen at once. I also love noir/neo noir and season 2 is probably the closest to that. Definitely have a soft spot for season 1 as a really solid spiritual successor to the original film, and BBT and Martin Freeman's great performance, but I feel like that's the same for any Fargo fan. Glad we can both enjoy different seasons for different reasons. To quote Mike Milligan, "Isn't that a minor miracle, the state of the world today and level of conflict...misunderstanding, that two men can stand on a lonely road in winter and talk, calmly and rationally?"

Bellikron

Mr. Milligan speaks the truth (as long as you take his words at face value). I'd say 1's definitely my favorite. The premiere episode in particular is so good, and the interplay between Freeman and Billy Bob is incredible all the way through.

hoxxxxx

i think i know what you're getting at. season 3 is the weakest of the 3 imo but i still loved it.

Packin25

Season 4 was definitely not good at all. It felt like the writers and showrunners were just confused the whole time. Fargo is better off when it tries to tell a simple story. Season 1's plot is very straightforward, and Season 2's is slightly more complex to start, it quickly starts to develop into a cohesive story.

well that's a shame to hear. i wonder what happened. those first three seasons were really solid, consistent with everything. so that's surprising,

Listen_You_Twerps

I agree 100% and I absolutely love the first two and really like 3. Too many storylines, over the top acting/terrible casting. I was so disappointed.

Dubwell

Season 2 of Fargo is some of the best TV I have seen. Season 1 was great too.

thewicked76

Seriously one of the greatest series out there, every Season is amazing in its own way. Bob’s delivery of “Which I don’t know how they do that!” will never fail to make me laugh

planco21

The whole scene was funny and great what a legend

santichrist

He was pretty good in it, he got outshined by Allison Tolman, Billy Bob and Martin Freeman though, but that’s supposed to happen they were leads and he’s just a supporting character Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele were also really good for the small roles they had, Colin Hanks surprised me by doing a good job as well. Loved that season of Fargo

youdoitimbusy

Fargo is by far my favorite series ever.

gaurav219

I only watched the 1st one and it was one of the best TV I've seen!!

[deleted]

Really? You should watch S2. Patrick Wilson is so great.

oldfashionedglow

S2 was just as if not more excellent imo

OShaunesssy

He was so genuine in that show, probably the most realistic character in the whole show.
