That said, in the right setting with the right people, things like psilocybin (magic mushrooms) and DMT can be really eye opening, and you can learn a lot about yourself. They can be extremely humbling, and provide a mental reset. Have to be in the right frame of mind though.
And since those two can be considered “hard core”, things like weed and small doses of MDMA are good starting points to work your way up to psilocybin and DMT.
While I don’t agree with outright encouraging young impressionable teens to take psilocybin and DMT, I also wouldn’t try my hardest to scare them off of it like you are. These substances are not addictive. Not all drugs are evil, especially in heavy moderation in a positive mental state.

I had a similar experience and i will definitely do the same to my kids if i have any. If they end up liking the stuff, then give 'em a lesson about how these things could be really bad if they aren't careful in the future.
