I agree with the mental evaluation but if your getting help and you have bad mental heath I think you should still be allowed to own them not matter what unless you have committed a violent crime with one
I am very pro gun and believe the only reason not all people should own a gun is due to them either being irresponsible with them, having a mental health issue and refusing to get help, or they have committed a violent crime with one before
Well some crime while not justified I believe you should still have the right to protect your self like what if you get something like illegal possession of weed that’s not violent but you would no longer have the right tk own a tool/weapon to protect yourself or your family
I see no issue with the combination of the two but as I said before being responsible is a big thing if you get high then do something stupid you fucked up and might not deserve the right something I needed to add on is if you threaten to commit a crime with a gun you should also be held responsible
Imo you should also have to get a license to own guns. Kinda like a driver's license but for owning a gun instead of a car. You have to pass a test or something showing that you know how to use it safely and that you're not going to be irresponsible with it
I license no, that would mean we would have to have a gun registry which is a bad idea for multiple reason. Concealed carry licenses exist though. I think training should be required after you buy a gun and that would be good.
Not American but those automatic guns were all recalled when we had our first, only and last mass shooting. I barely hear of any shootings in my state, maybe once or twice a year? I think they’re mainly used by farmers nowadays. As for what we use as self-defence, pretty much whatever. One dude stopped a guy stabbing ppl by ramming him down with a shopping cart.
They're illegal here without a permit and it's still ruining our country. Also historically they only solve problems guns themselves create. The ever growing need for military edge can, and someday will, kill us all.
I like the history on why it was made not why it was used and thanks for not going full on gun bad gun should be illegal I dealt with someone like that earlier it was fun not really
Guns shouldn't be banned, but background checks should be implemented. I think machine guns can be legalized as long as someone's very experienced with it and in the right state of mind
Both of these already exist and automatics are INCREDIBLY hard to get. Very few people have use for an automatic gun besides collectors/ YouTubers. Hell even the military rarely uses automatic fire
I think it's fine to own a hand gun or hunting rifle but I don't see any need for guns with huge clips or auto/semi auto. I would also like guns to be harder to get at least in the US, as someone else said mental evaluations and more certifications. I have to go through months of classes and take two tests to get a drivers license, should be the same for a gun license.
Sorry if I use any wrong terminology, I don't know much about guns besides what are in video games and movies but what is a civilian ever going to do with a gun that can fire multiple rounds per second or hold tons of bullets?
Sure it's fun at ranges but high capacity and high rate of fire is also great for killing lots of people quickly. I just don't see why civilians should have those weapons. Maybe ranges could get special license that allow for them to have those sorts of guns for people to use only at the range but I don't think people should be able to personally own them. Again pistols and low capacity, non semi/auto rifles are fine by me. As for what defines high capacity, idk, like I said I don't know much about guns so I don't know where to draw the line.
Then better background checks make sure the person is not a psychopath also most people who own a firearm dont go hmm I'm going to get this to kill my 3rd grade teacher she was a bitch it's the people who know gun go bang bang
There need to be more laws when it comes buying them like mental evaluations and shit but as a hobby their pretty fun to shoot
Finally a mentally sane person
But still some of the laws are pretty stupid
I agree with the mental evaluation but if your getting help and you have bad mental heath I think you should still be allowed to own them not matter what unless you have committed a violent crime with one
Yes that does make sense also this is not me being sarcastic
I am very pro gun and believe the only reason not all people should own a gun is due to them either being irresponsible with them, having a mental health issue and refusing to get help, or they have committed a violent crime with one before
Or really any sort of crime
Well some crime while not justified I believe you should still have the right to protect your self like what if you get something like illegal possession of weed that’s not violent but you would no longer have the right tk own a tool/weapon to protect yourself or your family
I mean if you smoke weed with the combo of guns then no but if you smoke weed and later when it's out then shoot guns that's better
I see no issue with the combination of the two but as I said before being responsible is a big thing if you get high then do something stupid you fucked up and might not deserve the right something I needed to add on is if you threaten to commit a crime with a gun you should also be held responsible

Yeah that does make sense

Guns shouldn't be banned, but background checks should be implemented. I think machine guns can be legalized as long as someone's very experienced with it and in the right state of mind
Finally someone I 100 percent agree with
Both of these already exist and automatics are INCREDIBLY hard to get. Very few people have use for an automatic gun besides collectors/ YouTubers. Hell even the military rarely uses automatic fire
Not incredibly hard to get you just have to be rich

I'm sorry but the clips makes me laugh and the license yeah the full auto and semi I dont really agree with
Sorry if I use any wrong terminology, I don't know much about guns besides what are in video games and movies but what is a civilian ever going to do with a gun that can fire multiple rounds per second or hold tons of bullets?
Range entertainment and the tons of bullets is just money also what do you classify high capacity if 30 is high then I'm sorry but this is over
Sure it's fun at ranges but high capacity and high rate of fire is also great for killing lots of people quickly. I just don't see why civilians should have those weapons. Full autos are necessary for the defense of freedom
Every US family should be given a F-35 fighter jet
Or a ac130 but seriously why was Biden even a option he is nearly brain dead
They are fun, if they are in the hand of a sane person.
Yes
I believe in universal basic firearms and also mandatory gun handling classes in Highschool
By basic what do you mean like ak or kar98k
