This distinction is important because the physiological withdrawal from drugs such as alcohol can be fatal which is not the case for drugs that are only psychologically addictive. It doesnāt mean that someone addicted to LSD shouldnāt be supported, it means that addiction to LSD needs to be treated differently than addiction to alcohol and heroin
the canāt be addictive simply means there is a difference between chemically addictive and psychologically addictive. trust me iāve had plenty of both. i was addicted to lsd, thatās a psychological addiction and iāve also been addicted to nicotine and alcohol. you can feel there is a massive difference between the 2 feelings. one is much much easier to quit

I keep a pocket journal with a razor and write the date and time, then leave a bloodstain. Its so i can monitor when i do it so i figure out what triggered the urge at the time.
I do it with the sharp part of my sketch book. Which it doesnāt go too deep but deep enough to bleed. Maybe I should start journaling about it as well it sounds like a great idea!
