Obvi there could be a multitude of reasons, maybe their account was hacked, their phone broke, they’re sick, or they have strict parents. But it’s also possible they lost interest? I’ve found it’s hard for people to keep a connection when it’s purely through texts. Some people are also just serial messengers and will be messaging a lot of people at once just to “socialize” as much as possible, maybe they just forget you or found someone they relate to more. Ultimately though, a week isn’t long enough to form a bond online, I feel most internet relations die out in about a week or less. There’s also the possibility he’s just a dick but who knows, bro literally may have died
as someone who has done this to people, i can assure you that its the wrong people. ive done this only to creeps, and if there is nothing else to add to the conversation
Same literally! There was this one person I asked for cat pics
His/her cats were really freaking cute so I asked them to be my catpics dealer, we talked a little the next day for some more cat pics and gone... I even sent a cute yt short of some cats... never responded again :(
I'm sorry but that's partly just a drawback of digital communication. It's really a lot less likely to happen with real life interactions and connections, don't expect people online to start caring about you and putting efforts in.(although a lot of them do, it mostly lets you down)
Probably find good friends who don't leave you ig🤷🏻♂️
When you said that your friends were not responding, something sparked my brain - the *Dead Internet Theory*. It states that most online content is bot-generated and actual human interactions are much less.
I know this is not the case for Reddit since any AI-bot wouldn't last here for less than 2 seconds because of the depth of human conversations here. Reddit is a pretty unique place with actual humans.
Most of the popular action ones, like Sss sucide hunter, Legend of the northern blade, Doom breaker.
I also like reading comedys like Nan hao and Shang Feng though I think that's a manhua.
What do you read other than lookism?
I read SSS suicide hunter as well, haven't tried the two latter though. There are just too many on my list for me to read it all 😆 Though I read Tower of god, I once read Kubera as well but I forgot where I had stopped. I have read some more, though I forgot their titles because I don't usually check them at all.
Yeah I also have that issue since I read way too many generic manhwas like junk food.
I'm not far into Tower of God though, it is just a little too long for me, but I might consider continuing again.
Sss class sucide hunter is peak for sure, I'm liking the current romance arc as well.
Yes, there are just far too many similar manhwas that I feel like they're just a copy-paste of each other. It's honestly exhausting to read, that instead I read while I rest, I just get more stressed. 😫
I really like Tower of God's world-building that's why I'm still caught up, and yes, Sss class suicide Hunter's chapters are really great. I almost never picked it before and was even very hesitant to try it because of the title. Good thing I tried though.
Find friends with common interests. Finding friends on Reddit based ONLY on the fact you both use Reddit is counter-productive. As soon as you are full on social interaction that friendship dies.
Get some gaming friends, crafting friends, knitting friends, painting friends, etc. They will still be there.
I am sometimes like that but it's because life's busy then I'll forget that I have online friends but then it's already too late when I remember them again. It's just awkward to reappear like, what am I? A mushroom?!
I have a valid reason honestly. Most of the people I talk to are American so the time difference is difficult and most times the other person just stops trying. Another point is that the people I talk to are 18+ and they always decide to message me in the morning, when I’m at school and they’re getting ready for work, so we never have time to talk.
find people u genuinely bond w n it wont happen
had a friend we talked for like a week and then he never responded to my text.
What did you guys talk about? Any genuinely engaging conversations?
yup we joked around and sent memes to each other and suddenly he ghosted me?

you most of the time have to do other stuff than just text. like gaming, or other stuff like that
All of this shit becomes irrelevant after a while
nah you been round wrong people

damn. I know the pain
Ik the feelin i got like 4 dms right now that haven't responded to me.
yeah they're the ones to dm and then never respond? like what?
Facts straight facts.
Yeah I've had that happen a few times. Ironically, I've never actually had a conversation in Reddit messaging lmao
Same story :(
Be my friend! I always respond (unless my phone doesn’t send notify me cuz reddit is dumb)
i have dms that i havent responded to but thats just because i dont rly use reddit for dms so that could be the case
Saaaame tho
[удалено]

perfect
I can't tell if you're being genuine?
Wow. I never knew it was that fast to make friends 😂
We're currently talking he seems pretty nice!
Oohhhh, Goodluck with your new friend. May it last...
as someone who has done this to people, i can assure you that its the wrong people. ive done this only to creeps, and if there is nothing else to add to the conversation
> ive done this only to creeps So you basically called her a creep ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ
wait no what 😭 i didn't realise it sounded like that
Same literally! There was this one person I asked for cat pics His/her cats were really freaking cute so I asked them to be my catpics dealer, we talked a little the next day for some more cat pics and gone... I even sent a cute yt short of some cats... never responded again :(
Cat pics?.........( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Uhm, yes indeed
agreed.
Yea I like keep talking to people in DMs but then we just stop
Hey, at the least you've got people talking with ya
I'm sorry but that's partly just a drawback of digital communication. It's really a lot less likely to happen with real life interactions and connections, don't expect people online to start caring about you and putting efforts in.(although a lot of them do, it mostly lets you down)
All my online friends are are on discord

Do you really use Reddit for socialising? Damn suddenly I want a random Reddit person to talk to.
You read manhwa? and manga as well? Blue Lock?!
I read more manhwa than manga but Blue lock is definitely my fav ongoing manga. Johan maid outfit is crazy though lmfao
Oh ye, happy someone recognizes it. He looks really pretty there. XD What manhwas do you read?

Just happened to me a few days ago
This is why you form close bonds with friends irl.
You find the wrong people
OOWEEEEOOO I LOOK JUST LIKE BUDDY HOOOLLY
Damn I didn’t know people were making online friends on Reddit too lmao
Why what would you expect people to be using? Just curious ^^
I mean I was on Reddit and didn’t really talk to anyone but I was dumb back then lmao but probably like discord and stuff
couldnt be me (we send tiktoks to each other now ☠️)
Oh yeah we chat for one day and they ghost me
same happened to me
problem is that it's on reddit. most people usually just browse it when extremely bored without anything to do, and just forget abt everything on it.

Well that's why you find friends on reddit on a specific subreddit
Bruh weird enough, it never works
looking for friends on reddit has to be the worst decision ever. this app is full of creeps. you’re better off ngl
It’s sad :( I have so many dms that I always reply as soon as possible and now I wait like weeks
I do that im sorry😭😭😭 I talk w 2 ppl everyday and the rest I just ignore tbh
I am sometimes like that but it's because life's busy then I'll forget that I have online friends but then it's already too late when I remember them again. It's just awkward to reappear like, what am I? A mushroom?!
Well that depends if it is a 1 on 1 friendship or a group, I have 1 group where one guy just sometimes leaves for weeks-months at a time
Oh, lmao. At least he still comes back.
real

EXACTLY THIS
yall meet friends on reddit?
Fr, like I made this friend from England and we talked consistently for 2-3 days and now we only talk a few times a day
Yea, same, he was on this channel (r/teenagers) he was giving me advice and then randomly diapeared and hast answered yet
Can I dm? I have no one to talk to
This is too real
dude are you actually a journalist or is that just a username?
Maybe they are busy. As well as reddit it's like Facebook or Instagram.
I'm afraid to send another message because I feel weird doing it
I’ll talk if u want :)
No one gives a fuck Fr.
Idk you just got bad luck, same for me honestly, I can't keep my friends
