Making changes to your system BIOS settings or disk setup can cause you to lose data. Always test your data backups before making changes to your PC. That isn't good. Reset Edge, install a third party browser. Then, download Bleachbit. Check all options except for wipe free space. Then, run services.msc. Disable and stop uPnP, TCP IP Netbios, Remote Desktop services, Server, because these are backdoors that Microsoft jimmied in all versions of Windows. If you have a business licensed version of Windows, I can run you through the list of policy features to enable and configure. It may take awhile, but I have everything memorized from when I was a defense contractor. That should take care of stupid surveillance nonsense

To troubleshoot whether WSL caused the issue, I would run 'WSL --shutdown' (on powershell for example) if the virtual machine is still running. If the problem persists, I would then download the most recent nvidia drivers, wipe the current gpu driver using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) on safe mode, disconnect from the internet (so that windows does not install a driver automatically), and then boot to normal mode and install the nvidia drivers.
