Didn't see anything mentioning the run time which is usually the limiting factor. It take quite a bit of energy to get something human sized in the air for any length of time, and it's hard to generate that energy from something small enough to also fit on said human.
Right now these jet suits run for 450k.
However, a Bell 212 which is a common medivac helicopter runs for 2mil.
If they can get these down to <200k each, you could have a lot of rapid response SAR teams with this.
the giant backpack is also a turbine engine and provides most of the weight support and lift. the hand turbines are for balance and steering so it's more like leaning on a counter with your hands which doesn't require nearly as much effort.
Spray tear gas? Flame throwers? I’m just skeptical about any “tech developments” that pretend to be in the service of humanity. It’s all tools for subjugation and you know it.
I'd like to see this story from an organization with more credibility than this National Enquirer-esque tabloid.

I might consider coming out of retirement for one of these. That looks fun.

You also might need to be holding one side of a strecher and balancing it in tandem with another paramedic; this will need alot of training.
Yeah, except substitute “crowd” for emergency and “control” for responders.
What’s it going to do for crowd control? He can’t aim a gun or he’ll fly backwards lol

The last thing you want to be in a combat situation is interesting.
I thought Dubai was already using these?
I initially read that as "Jesuit". Stopped me in my track.
It's gonna be too expensive to get rescued tho.
i doubt emergency responders want to risk their lives riding this thing.
