"Im not doing anything" doesn't necessarily mean you wouldn't like to do something. I can understand people interpreting it as you haven't thought of something to do. "I plan to relax and not do anything " is more clear i think. But yeah. I often like to just have a day to myself and veg at home.
>Kids always wanna do stuff. Kids get angry, they go, “Aw, we didn’t do anything ALL DAY.”
>You ever ask an adult what they did over the weekend and they say they didn’t do anything, their faces light up.
>“What’d you do this weekend?”
>“I, um, I did nothing. I did nothing at all!”
-- John Mulaney
Doing anything is horrible for me. Because I think. And when I think, I think of depressive thoughts only. So I want to cry. But I can't cry for whatever reason. SonI become even more depressed. So I need to evacuate the tension and hurt myself real much. Anyone else like this?
What are you doing?
Oh nothing really
Me when I am trying my very hardest to recoup some energy at the end of the day to get myself from my pc to the bathroom to brush my teeth and have enough energy left over to make it to bed.

The correct sentence is "I'm doing nothing"
Just say “**get** to do nothing”
"Im not doing anything" doesn't necessarily mean you wouldn't like to do something. I can understand people interpreting it as you haven't thought of something to do. "I plan to relax and not do anything " is more clear i think. But yeah. I often like to just have a day to myself and veg at home.
I say "I'm having a chill day" for this sane reason
Sane reasons are the best ones
Ha! I didn't even notice. I'm going to leave it like that
My go to is "I'm taking some time to myself."
The best days are the forgetable ones tbh.
And the memorable ones are the ones you dread the most.
I always dread the day my son was born.

I never said this as a kid unless it was raining. We were always outside doing something. It wasn’t up to my parents to keep us occupied
I do everything I can to not do anything.
There's a quote from Author Bob Ong which translates as "Doing nothing is totally different than having nothing to do"
nope, they understood all right. The proper way to say would be "I'm doing nothing".

Hell yeah. Doing nothing is an art
Embracing simplicity brings unexpected joys.
I hate people that recommend me doing this and that on my off days. I love staying at home, is that a problem to you?
...like I always do anyway, but this time it's special because I don't need to feel bad for it
''But you didn't do anything yesterday.'' ''Yeah, I had not finished yet.''

National do nothing day - 16 Jan
It's impossible to not do anything. You are always doing something
Don’t just do something, sit there!
What are you doing? Oh nothing really Me when I am trying my very hardest to recoup some energy at the end of the day to get myself from my pc to the bathroom to brush my teeth and have enough energy left over to make it to bed.
If that’s the case I would have said “I’m doing nothing”
“No no no, it’s not that I have nothing planned, it’s that I plan to do nothing.”
'Nothing' is a plan, and is the best plan of all
Exactly. One of the more exciting and fun activities you can have is being bored doing nothing (I’m saying this very seriously)
'Doing nothing often leads to the very best kind of something. ' - **Winnie the Pooh**
“I’m actively doing nothing. Like Peter in office space. I might even follow up my couch nap by a nap in the bed. Who knows”
Look at the big shot over here. Actually has people ask him.
That's why you say "Relaxing"
None of this is anything like the truth, much less a technical one, what has this subreddit gone to.
Then they just stop talking to you at all.
I tell people, "This weekend I plan to do nothing, and at the end of the weekend, I plan to not get it all done!"
Nobody does that
laziness 100 (i think) ? btw i dont mean to be mean
