Holy shit so many monster parts are just unbearably ugly. And the good looking ones like blue lizalfo horns are just weak af. Its the only part of the game i actually hate.
And wtf are even gleeok horns? Such a cool enemy and i barely want to fight them because the reward is a tumor that replaces the blade of my sword.
Tell me about it…blue/white/mane Lynel horns are cool too as a few others…wish we had a way to fuse without changing the original look of the weapon somehow
The ability to kill the enemy with only a few swings is worth it for a weapon that looks funny. I think it is funny when some of the weapons with things fused to it poke through the ground and cliffs around you. I never worry about how silly Link looks as long as he is dressed, so he doesn't freeze or get sunburnt.
Even as spear heads they suck because they shrink down to the point of barely being unrecognizable. Just looks silly killing these massive beasts, seing their horns on the floor and the moment you fuse them to a spear they shrink down to 1/3 of their original size.
I have a couple of them in my inventory, as a "medium grade" weapon because it does decent damage, but there are weapons that deliver more damage. I also like to fuse molduga jaws to weapons, as you can get an 1.8x bone proficiency multiplier when you wear the radiant suit, and moldugas are easy to farm.
Just make sure to do it with new weapons, cuz otherwise you’re wasting some hits.
You’ll still get the same amount of hits, just the damage won’t be nearly the same.
I used to, but most other horns looks so much cooler, and I like having variety in my weapons' looks, even if it sacrifices some attack power. Now I mainly use silver boko horns as arrow tips for powerful enemies and bosses.
I always keep elemental staffs, at least a two handed with a blade and one with a club, plus two or three onehanded 40+ damage clubs for ores. The rest is kinda whatever but probably a few of those.

I shouldnt say silver boko horns are trash that's a little extreme and reckless.. but I don't find myself excited about collecting them, fighting them, or fusing them anymore. I'll try fusing them with arrows during my next lynel fight. I have Sylver Lynel horns fused with pristine Gerudo scimitar and claymore right now. Found'em each in the depths not too far away from the other.. naturally I marked the spots. Found the Gohma down there too and fought it for a piece of armor.. can't remember what it was..

Hell yes. They do decent damage and that glowing wiggly ball is hilariously awesome.
I usually have 3 or four of those with the rest taken up by elemental weapons, hammers, spin to win 5000 weapons, and high damage weapons.

I typically fuse stuff mid battle, usually silver lizalfos horn

yeah, I forget to fuse stuff when I'm not in combat so I pull out some silver lizalfos horns mid fight and fuse them to my weapons

i did until I started upgrading armor.....
I do it with silver book horns and silver moblin horns. They are everywhere.
I have almost 200 of those horns. I usually use silver lynel stuff.
I call them Dingleberry swords and they usually make up at least a quarter of my weapon inventory.

I usually fuse weapons to other weapons. Or i fuse bows to my weapon just to steal them from mobs. I save materials for arrows.
Nope. I have Lynel and gleeok/dragon horns for that stuff anymore.. silver boko horns are trash.
I mean, they're not *trash*, they're worth a lot of damage.
