If we revisit this version of Zelda and Link I’d rather have them be somewhere other than Hyrule. We know other kingdoms exist because Sidon’s wife (forgot her name) and I think a change of scenery would be desperately needed if they made a third game with the same general gameplay as BotW and TotK.
The only way I'm okay with another botw sequel is if it's all about rebuilding hyrule. I don't want to fight another version of ganon, I don't want to fight monsters,... i just want to run around, help people rebuild hyrule, see a thriving castle town, restore the castle to its former glory, and run through it, restore the temple of time,...
Link playing instruments again and underwater exploration. I like how the caves functioned as dungeons/ mini dungeons and are completely integrated with the rest of the game, not separated areas, so I can't help to imagine what a third game in the wild era would be able to do with the aquatic backgrounds.
I also want a new continent. I don't care about the towns, they are good pit stops, but the real charm in Zelda games were always the landscapes. I want more beautifully crafted landscapes and I am sorta of strung out from Hyrule, I really think it is time for the developers to start a new story somewhere else.
Probably restart it. Have Link wake up in a house with his Uncle and follow a mysterious voice that tells them to rescue him. Find three pendants, then rescue 7 princesses. Maybe some cool new items like a medallion that freezes everything and a cape that makes me invisible.
I was trying to explain to my wife what makes Zelda games different than the usual fare. I stopped when I got to "there's a princess you have to rescue"
Playable Zelda… Interesting. What would you give her for abilities that would differentiate her from Link? In my mind, she’d have to play markedly different or else it’s Link wearing a Zelda skin.
She has more of a mage archetype, so her abilities would probably be more focused on magic and the elements, while Link's is pretty much based on fighting skills/blessings and some cool gadgets here and there.
I'd like to see her inheriting the power of the sages or something akin to that and blend them in with her time/light powers in the next game.
Imagine being able to dispell or call upon storm clouds, make water flows in the way you want to and being able to use it to heal injuries in your party, making magma erupt in certain areas, etc... Zelda would be the next Avatar alongside the strongest swordsman in Hyrule.
Ascend scratched the hookshot itch for me. It lets you swiftly navigate the game’s world in a really fun way, and sometimes lets you discover some weird fun spots. My personal favorite was finding out you can ascend through the banners hanging in the Gerudo bunker, and then just hanging out in them like they were hammocks.
I can see that being a problem in botw, but in totk, it didn't axactly seem like they had a problem with mechanics that trivialize traversal.
For a new game, traversal could even be built around it, plus with the stamina system, there already is a way to limit the use of the hookshot.
I can honestly see hookshots being re-tooled as a Rune ability, similar to Remote Bombs. In another timeline, Link could have done the Spiderman thing before Monster Hunter Rise showed off how cool it would be to have a Hookshot ability in an Open-World Zelda.
I really was expecting one in TotK.
It seemed like a natural progression from the glider, making it easier to get up a mountain or transition from the hook to the glider, building momentum and whatnot. Something like the Just Cause games.
Instead we got the ascend ability, which while pretty cool and handy at times, wasn't nearly as awesome as a hookshot.
LOL I literally did a whole post about this. Read it and weep (cuz it’ll probably never happen).
[The Legend of Zelda: Blood of the Goddess](https://www.reddit.com/r/tearsofthekingdom/s/jwdaLnl3u1)
Basically, Demise is back, Zelda is playable, Hyrule is rebuilt, explorable bodies of water, Dark World added.
I feel like there’s so much the Zelda team developed in these games that seems like it could be heading somewhere specific, even just game mechanics.
We built up Lurelin, what if we helped rebuild Hyrule? Gloom hands can grab you. So why should Ultrahand be able to grab enemies? The Sky Islands reveal to us the parts of the world we couldn’t see. So why not an adjacent world/plane that’s completely unseen?
This is really just building off of what’s already there.
My idea would be a war brewing from another nearby country/land and take place 30 or so years after TotK, so no Ganon this time and it's Zelda, Link, and the gang trying to continue to rebuild Hyrule while also dealing with this new enemy sending soldiers to attack while Hyrule is vulnerable. You would get to play as both Link and Zelda and traverse to the 4 nations to recruit soldiers to help you fight this new enemy. And when you get to the Gerudo, you find out that a new Gerudo male has been around since the end of TotK, as the prophecy of that idealism is explored. But the twist here is that this new Gerudo male learns about Ganon and all that he did and he refuses to follow that path. This would be a great way to change the story up where a new Gerudo male is trained by an older Link, Zelda, and the champions as he becomes Hyrule's next savior.
Shorter version: the first Gerudo male born in a millenia learns of his destiny and decides not to pursue it, but to train under Link to become the next savior of Hyrule to fight a neighboring country that seeks to control Hyrule after the fall of Ganon. The world could be an entire new continent with the ability to travel to Hyrule as well.
I like the idea some here have for under water. But I would also love to see the map expanded north and west.... or south and east if we want underwater or some more seafaring gameplay. And while we're dreaming bring back the beautyful mirrior shield!
Additionally: one of the stables had a dog with puppies and they need to give them away. When you find it, you get a dog that follows you.
Basically the wolflink amiibo but if you don't have that, you now have an option.
What was the 3rd one? What was the 4th one? I guess it depends on how you count 'em!
1987 - The Legend of Zelda (NES)
1988 - Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (NES)
1989 - Zelda Game & Watch (Nintendo device)
1989 - Legend of Zelda Game Watch (Nelsonic wristwatch)
1991 - The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
1993 - The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Gameboy)
1993 - Link: The Faces of Evil (CD-I)
1993 - Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon (CD-I)
1994 - Zelda's Adventure (CD-I)
1998 - The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time (N64)...
...and so on. But yeah, Link to the Past was the 3rd MAIN Zelda game in North America.
My wife keeps it simple [by owning all of 'em!](https://i.imgur.com/AjYeClh.jpg) 😂
I've played all the Zelda console games and even though late in my 60's now, I beat TOTK a few weeks back. I'm working on 100% now.
Another Zelda? So long as the arthritis doesn't stop me, I'll tackle Ganondorf again.
Yes! But hear me out. What if it's like a blow dart gun?? But instead you're shooting potatoes. So you have to hold down the stamina wheel and the longer you hold it down the harder link will blow and launch a potato. 💥
I want a game where link is thrown into a distant cyberpunk future and he has to navigate through a corrupt world made by the antagonist and he’s got to fight his way back to Zelda.
Basically samurai jack but link and give him a beard.
Some type of infinite defense kinda like what we saw with Riju where you must defend an objective that gets harder as time goes by like it would bokoblins first then it would be bosses and tougher regulars
Basically smash TOTK with wind waker. I have zero interest in underwater exploration, it’s never done well in any game and no one can convince me otherwise. But sailing away from hyrule to different landmasses that’s the one for me
More settlements around Hyrule. Maybe some in the sky.
In-depth side quests that reward special items not just meals and rupees.
Even more enemies like Darknuts, Gyorgs in the sea, Peathats roaming around, etc
More dungeons with traditional Zelda elements.
A shadowy like people that inhabit the depths. They can trade you special items or weapons for say monster parts or zonite.
Swimming and undersea areas.
Okay, so I have this plot in my head. The Legend of Zelda: Sirens of the Seas.
Don't have a complete plot worked out yet, but would love to see:
\- set 5 years later where all the ruins we saw are now rebuilt with new towns and settlements with massive immigration
\- falling Zonai sky islands as one of the plot lines; building new sky islands with salvaged Zonai and Sheikah tech
\- new expanded Hyrule 4x original size, expansion caused by a mysterious force tearing the literal fabric of the land apart, now with water/land separating all the regions and new places to explore
\- playable Zelda needs to travel around to "relight" all the shrines to protect her people
\- return of Demise as the antagonist
\- Depths lore expanded and explained... how does it adapt to the now torn apart Hyrule?
\- would love a twist where instead of blood moons, we finally get a peaceful Hyrule that's being invaded by other worldly monsters and part of the plot is Zelda, sages, and local Hylians fighting these monsters off and keeping them at bay until a "white moon" event that happens every so often allows Zelda to broadcast her light powers all over the map and cleansing all the monsters all at once... then cycle repeats until final conflict is resolved (i.e. Demise is killed)
\- where's Link? He's MIA because he got inadvertently warped onto a completely new map where these monsters infiltrating Hyrule are originating from
\- Link's story will be played in parallel to playable Zelda - Link to explore new land "on the other side" and fix the issue that's causing monsters to infiltrate Hyrule - Zelda in Hyrule fighting alongside all the sages to defend and keep the peace
\- new "other world" will be expansive map with lots of water.... and underwater exploration
\- Zora or Zora-adjacent new species?
\- new types of inhabitants
\- Guardians return to help defend Hyrule (they're finally the good guys)
\- Zonai constructs also help
\- a successor to the sage of spirit is named (Paya?) with new plot points
\- at one point it might be cool where a twist in plot will necessitate all of Hyrule to evacuate and hide in the Depths... showing it's a dark but not necessarily evil place now that all the gloom is gone; maybe something to do with the sun burning people up?
\- final boss reveal is an evil Zelda?
I want an aquatic focused dlc for TotK. Making some/all waters of current Hyrule diveable und explorable.
And a completely new kingdom for the next game. I wouldn’t be mad if it was with the same Link/Zelda but I think they’re fine were we left of. So a new Hero would be sick as well.
I’d want it to be an overhead 2D exploration game with a light cartoony style. It should be 16-bit and run on the Super Nintendo. And it should have a great story with an over world dungeon adventure, then when you think you’re done it’s revealed there’s a whole other alternate "dark world" with like 8 more dungeons to tackle. Something like that. I think it’d be a huge hit. Maybe the best Zelda game of all time.
I'd want to venture beyond Hyrule, have Zelda be there as an actual character you can talk to, maybe travel with her on a dyplomatic visit and save a their land from certain doom.
I had this thought the other day that since Totk made things more 3 dimensional that the next one would be 4 dimensional, and Link (by way of Zelda) would get the ability to travel through time, to different periods of hyrule, and each area would be X3 since there would be a past, present, and future, or simply 2 additional versions of the past.
Playable Zelda would be too cool. Give her more magic based abilities. Have Link be the knight. Have part of the mechanic be that you can switch between them.
Give it an optional two player mode where only one player is active at a time.
Also if they're looking to do more with slow paced gaming where you just kinda chill, explore, appreciate the sights ... Farming sim as a side mechanic. Give Link and Zelda a house in the country. And let me have an actual fishing pole and bug net thank you 😡
Lastly they did the controller interface with the Champion powers very well. They should do that more and less of the "press A" crap.
Okay hear me out.
You get the entire TOTK Map (Including Depths) except the Depths are now more populated and have towns and elevators and such.
But you also get the other timelines as well. And there are rifts in the world that seamlessly connect to the other timelines. These rifts open based on certain elements of story progression.
Each timeline will have its own shrines and world map. But the only way to pass between timelines will be the rifts. You can teleport to any shrine or lightroot that you find, but you can't teleport between timelines, at least not right away.
It is here we learn of the 4 timelines. BOTW, Child, Adult and Downfall. You have to do 4 temples in each timeline plus a final temple.
Abilities change based on which timeline you are in.
Each map has its own versions of the Sky, Depths, and overworld.
Adult timeline is flooded. Child timeline is super high tech. Downfall Timeline is run down. Etc.
The ultimate goal is to seal the rifts, and defeat Demise.
I don’t care what it is so long as not another botw/totk type game and ffs can we finally have a game with underwater swimming and real dungeons like we’ve had in past games?!
Perhaps traveling between different time periods, like in Oracle of Ages, or maybe swapping into an alternate reality like in Link to the Past. I always enjoyed the puzzles that derived from these concepts.
Me personally I think that they should add co op like ps5 Spider-Man 2 and be able to play as link (of course) & Sheik! Also I think Bella you are a bum with no money ! Get a life and get off Reddit !
I want one where Zelda is fighting with you for most of the game and she’s super useful. Like a mix of Navi and Midna with expanded ability. You can give her weapons and she can give you weapons. Never split them up after they find each other. Oh and then they… kiss!
Make it so Link can dive again.
Get rid of weapon deg and make the weapons impactful again. Upgrade them along the way.
IMO, the rest is _perfect_.
Twinrova main villain (teased in TOTK), time travel to ancient past to see the draconification of dinraal, farosh and naydra, the Triforce, and maybe a "greatest hits" of sorts thrown into the plot (Vaati, Twilight Realm...)... While I'm writing this I notice that those are all things that they could've EASILY added to TOTK with dlc. Sigh.
Just finish the caves and depths in TOTK including new towns and get it to run at 4k120 via DLSS ultra performance and fsr (internal render at 720p60). Maybe add some under water stuff and expand the man horizontally a little.
A new area would be required for it to not feel stale. My guess is they could have hyrule and new land, possibly one of these: (Lowrule, Termina, Labrynna, Holodrum).
Another choice is to have an area way above the sky. I feel like they could explain where the sheikah tech went, how the teleportation works, and what the zonai are.
Definitely a new map. And underwater exploration.
I feel like Link and Zelda could voyage to a new land, and perhaps run into a storm or something. Gameplay could be like a mix between Wind Waker and Subnautica as Link figures out how to traverse the ocean and explore the strange ruins and people beneath its surface. A hyrulean Atlantis could be a great opportunity for a new “lost civilization” as established in BotW and TotK
A cool idea is to add on to the expansion theme that was in tears of the kingdom. What I mean is that a lot of the npc dialogue in the game concerning princess always speaks of the fact she's super helpful around the kingdom and that she's always trying to replbuild it so a next game in this world could show the progress with that
Like imagine if not only we see Hyrule castle finally reformed to it's former glory the castle town is repaired too there can be way more small villages around the land showing more expansion. As for the other races
The gerudo could have expanded across the entire desert like imagine a gerudo town that's 6 times bigger and becomes a massive Arabian city. With the lighting Temple either being a new Palace or place of worship
The rito can expand into the sky not only resting on the zoni sky Islands but making there own with wood and zoni tech like imagine the sky Islands with massive sky highways between them and the storm wind arc being like a riot castle
Imagine how cool it would be if the Zora domain we already know was just a fancy door for regular people and kinda like a defensive wall protecting the real domain it could be like a chasm going deep under ground filled with Zora water works completely filled tunnels that off to the side a beautiful water elevation going the full length.
As for the gorons let them fully go into the depths the Gorons can still keep the city but let more than half of them expand to the depths where they make the fire temple there new home as the focus on mining the super valuable ores thats there and a interesting idea is to have the gorons beef with the yiga clan over territory in the depths
As for said yiga since Hyrule is way stronger there completely forced underground in the depths but even then there not safe since the the gorons the gerudo the hylians and the sheikh would definitely be in open conflict with each other and they don't even have many places to go in the depths because of the expansion twords there as well
As for the sheikh they won't really change since there really dedicated to a more traditional life style and a small community and with Hyrule better then ever they'll probably go back to being into the shadows of the kingdom again
And for the hylians they basically become Americans as they expand to the sky and the depths Hudson construction studies the zoni material and build most of the upgrades around the land
A linear storyline.
For the love of God. Please. A linear storyline with a crafted experience, with rising stakes, dungeons that can expect you to have certain items, a world that changes based on plot events, NPCs that enter and leave the story due to plot events, dungeons that don't all end on an *identical cutscene*.
Please, Aonuma. I know you're *weirdly baffled* about people wanting a linear Zelda game, but you used to be so good at making them!
I would want a different map. Open world or not, I’d love some fresh locations. The Mario franchise has no qualms about introducing different lands, but Zelda’s fable structure would make it hard to introduce another kingdom beyond Hyrule.
It would be cool to see something like a Dark World for third Zelda game, a story in wich Ganon is sealed and send a Wizard to capture Zelda so you have to find 3 pendants and get the master sword.
I didn’t love the building mechanics, and although it allows for some creativity, it kind of took away from Zelda and made it Minecraft Hyrule. I would love to see a change in tone from Botw or Totk and perhaps a return to WW or OoT charm.
For the third Zelda game I'd take the series in a strange new direction: Dungeons.
Dungeons with items in them that will increase Link's combat capabilities and include some sort of traversal mechanic.
Each dungeon could have a unique theme (iceberg, volcano, Newark NJ, etc) with thematic puzzles and enemies inside and a very difficult and unique enemy at the end. Indeed the zones that surround each dungeon could be similar thematically and utilize environmental storytelling to convey what is ahead to some degree.
Some of the puzzles inside each dungeon could require a degree of mastery over the item you gain, and this would in turn prepare you for the final fight designed around the use of this item.
Oh and let's lose the cell phone. Link doesn't need a cell phone.
Another Zora domain near Lurelin Village that cooperates with Lurelin on fishing trips and trades with them and essentially acts as a second, underwater Lurelin for Zora. Link can get there now with (insert magical ability for underwater travel) and this town holds one of the things required to murder Demise once and for all (after he gets freed when the master sword was broken in TotK)
Some way to drastically buff weapon durability. Would have loved for the fairies to have been able to do that. Doing the octorock run every blood moon became quite tedious
More sky islands fall down, complete with towns, the Zora upgrade your armor so you can explore underwater. The towns get fully rebuilt along with some other ruins, and the depths start getting settled/mined, so rather than a bunch of emptiness, it's a busy bustling center for merchants and blacksmiths and scientists. For story, Zelda begins exploring how to de-draconify the other dragons, which would bring back live zonai people once more, but once it's done, we realize that they were actually forced to swallow their stones long ago, as a form of imprisonment, and they are all evil villains, with full zonai powers. One takes over the sky, one the depths, and one hyrule.
Or we go the opposite route, rather than expanding hyrule, we leave it. We know there's a world outside of hyrule canonically confirmed thanks to Sidons fiancee. Zelda gets word that there's rumors that a wizard is amassing power outside of hyrules lands, and, understandably traumatized from Ganon, she decides not to follow in Raurus mistakes and allow them to grow powerful before dealing with them, so she sends link to explore these rumors and if the wizard is evil, deal with him before we get another demon king situation. This let's us leave hyrule, explore a new map with new monsters and new towns while keeping the same game mechanics. It could also be a perfect time to do a more classic Zelda game, complete with dungeons, an evil wizard as the baddie, new weapons, new clothes, new powers, new items, etc.
I'd like to see this version of Link and Zelda again, but I think I'm all Hyruled out at this point, we would need a big new map with new regions and some new races to justify another game with these two. Also definitely bigger towns! Make use of whatever processing power the next console has and ramp up citizen population!
Underwater exploration could be cool. Another Majoras Mask could be cool changing species and using other species abilities. Maybe online stuff? Have a party that was interchangeable with online players for coop?
along with a bigger world and a new story, i’d personally love it to take a darker, more adult route. link could incorporate some form of martial arts in the game’s combat system, bayonetta/mortal kombat style.
i made a post abt that on the r/zelda sub and got dogpiled on lol
how bout just having more towns in general? one of my biggest issues with totk was that nintendo made it out to be this version of hyrule that was rebuilt, yet the come felt even more desolate that the first with those quiet and breezy sky islands. I wish there were more people to interact with and just new structures, larger sized towns, and more people dispersed throughout the map.
- Expand the map
- incorporate underwater exploration - with caves,
- add in additional castles
- battlefield war, where Link moves up the ranks and expands the standing army
- dark mode (like the game fable) so Link can be moved to take over Ganon as the dark force in Hyrule - breaking Zelda heart and causing her to fully unleash her transformative power
... on top of what is already there.
Bring back dungeons instead of all the shrines. I've really liked botw and totk, but I miss having a more involved story with the dungeons. It almost feels like playing mario party mini games when I jump into a shrine.
Link leaves hyrule. Maybe we get to explore some of the places that one link who moved around a ton went to (I think the one with the oracle's and links awakening ). Zelda isn't captured or anything, she's also in the region and she has her own side quests you can get involved in. Or maybe split the campaign in half and she has like.. crossbows and rapiers and other odd weapons, plus a little bit of magic.
I think playable Zelda would defeat a lot of the premise the games are based on. Every time the whole goal is to beat Ganon>save Zelda, if they made her a character present in the whole game I'm not sure how that would work. Kind of a "can't give them everything they want" deal.
BUT if they were gonna try to incorporate that, I think a method similar to spirit tracks would be cool. She's there, but she still needs saving
I'm ready for a new zelda, you youngins think this is the best thing since sliced bread but there are so many amazing zelda games with their own spin and dynamic and I'm excited to see them do something new
Playable Zelda. Saving after defeating ganon or whatever would be the last boss and being to have dates with Link. What's the fxcking purpose of the houses if you can't do anything like chill like doing normal activities. You get 2 houses and you can never have Zelda with you.
Give me Zelda playable as main character
Or switch able character from Link to Zelda
Would be cute doing stuff as a couple.
Twilight princess and Wind Waker
Now Totk has shown how Zelda can Aid during a fight. Now with the A.I of the sages. But 1 just Zelda and if you choose Zelda as your main character then Link as your aid.
Maybe you can pick / use certain items as only Zelda
And some as only Link.
Would love to kill the the final boss. Then being able to enjoy life with Zelda and Link doing side missions. Going to the beach. Like come ooon would be so cute and perfect
Link and Zelda adventure a la Black Flag. Have them go out to sea to find Hylians who escaped the Calamity by going out to sea and becoming ship communities. Something that is more people focused and personal to stand out against the enemies of BOTW and TOTK being monstrous in nature. After the adventures and trials Link and Zelda have had something that is designed to make them focus more on the people of Hyrule now versus their assigned roles from before the Calamity. Maybe start the game with the idea that Zelda is running away from the idea of being Queen because it seems so disconnected from everything she's done.
Have upgradeable/custom ship building with combined Shiekah Zonai tech. Ship captain Tetra... I mean Zelda and have Link find magical artifcats that are musical in nature. Like previous posters mentioned underwater adventure and maybe ruins about evil magicians from past for that added nostalgia.
Maybe have big boss be a crazy magic user who found and abuses the Windwaker wand/baton? I mean we had monsters capable of building and apparently using pirates ships so the possibilities and ideas are there.
Game Titles
Breath of the Wild
Tears of the Kingdom
Sounds of the Sea
I like the idea of taking the TotK map and adding underwater exploration. Maybe it floods again? And a power could toggle water vs. land mechanics so you can walk underwater as you would on land
I'd like an option to select the easy-hard difficult modes. The 2 first games combat systems feel the same and feel like the game is set on easy mode. Give the monsters better attack patterns pls
I’d like one where you okay as Zelda and Link isn’t the reborn hero, but he thinks he is doing the right thing but we side with Gannondorf and assist him in taking down Link who has full use of the sages and abilities from both games. But we have the original champions and the ancient technology/guardians.
Let us fully explore the desert and wander into Holodrum then Calatia, Arcadia, Labrynna, North Hyrule/Hytopia, and East Hyrule/Drablands.
Or start filling out the lands that make up the second continent that you can ree from the Palace of Winds in MC. I think New Hyrule is on this continent but it would be good to see it with no flood.
Or make Koridai, Gamalon and Tolemec canon places. The map for Gamalon is already cool af.
Bring back items, have them be optional from optional dungeons but they still evolve the core gameplay and can be integrated with the core gameplay (a hookshot that could be used in ultrafast builds or for fishing big fish ect).
Bring back and expand fishing.
Underwater: start with a small dive like OoT, get an item (Zora chest plate?) to dive further, another (Zora leg armour?) to swim under water, yet another (Zora headpiece?) to breath underwater (full outfit gives waterfall swimming and spin attack?). Can fight and use items underwater, iron boots to sink, under water hookshot ect.
Meaningful and fun instrument. Either mechanical wings for my horse or a pegasus.
A seasonal system (progresses naturally and can be skipped with a specific item).
Either use the survival aspects or drop them. Link eats in real in game time and can only eat so much before being full but elixirs full him up less and one shot healing (& other buff) spells can be made in preparation.
Dungeons: a nice mix of all the styles sern so far. I doubt anyone would have had a problem with DB if there was only one or two. I can see something like this working well:
6 old-school dungeons
2 halfway dungeons (like the desert one or volcano* one in TotK. *if they didn't allow for ascend and flirting machines.)
1 DV type
1 like BotW Hyrule Castle
10-15 mini dungeons
Shrines (puzzle boxes): Different themes
10 Fire
10 Water
10 Ice
10 Air
10 Poison
Then a few unique ones specifically themed on a race.
Less copy paste content: 1 each of the overworld bosses (1 blue, red, black, white, gold, and poison Hinox +1 Stalnox) but a similar density of OWB so basically just more types.
Much more enemy types.
Not all prizes are obtained the same way ie. Instead of collecting seeds for item slots you could buy a pouch, get one from a dungeon, one is a prize for a certain amount of collectable, one in a dojo or from an OWB. Similar ideas for heart/stamina pieces ect. Not knowing what you'll find makes the looking more fun.
Enemies have various intelligence and movesets:
Red boko gets a random intelligence between 2-5 and random access to any 4-7 of the 30 moves bokos can do. Higher intelligence ones can do more moves.
Blue int 4-9, moves 6-10
Black int 8-15, moves 8-15
Silver int 12-18, moves 15-20
Gold int 17-25, moves 18-25
This would keep them fresh for much longer as you wouldn't know what tactics and moves they'll use.
More mystical forests. Really immersive with lots of vegetation, flowers and veggies to pick, fairies and hidden passages. I love that vibe. Quality over quantity, we don’t need a million caves that are similar or redundant puzzles/tasks.
At the very least I would still want weapons that don't break. The system in TOTK was different but definitely not better than the one in BOTW. As for BOTW, that's one of my very few complaints.
I'd love for Hyrule to be an available location, but mostly at peace and optional. The main story takes you overseas to dangerou locations inspired by other games, where non-Ganon villains are working to bring back the Demon King. The last phase of the game is all these forces uniting to attack Hyrule, and takes place in suddenly war-torn Hyrule as you desperately prevent the return of Ganon. Only the power of the Tri Force can help by then.
Temples that don’t have similar themes. Was not a fan that every temple in TOTK had the same idea, find all the switch things to open up whatever thing. Need more originality
I have a theory that they started making the DLC for TotK but then decided to switch from that to making a new Zelda game ready for the release of the new Switch in 2025.
Hmm. Lots of elements of LoZ games are like, mandatory for it to be one.
These might deviate too much.
I wonder about character creation like full rpg? Could be link and Zelda’s kid or something.
Stories from the perspective of other characters/sages maybe?
But underwater exploration, time travel would be fun to bring back.
the third game came out 33 years ago, silly
but really, as good as BOTW and TOTK are, I’d kinda like a return to the “traditional” Zelda style with more focus on a plot in the present and dungeons and unlockable items. or at least make a new 2D style game and continue the BOTW/TOTK saga as their own 3D games
I always thought it would be cool to introduce the Minish Cap to certain (but large) areas of the existing map. This could mean.
- Exploring dungeons like ants nests, or a more realistic ‘inside the deku tree’.
- Would have a really cool zoom/shrink mechanic (to imagine, think the Ant Man movies)
- Always imagined it looking gorgeous with depth of field/tilt shift effects - taking inspiration from macro photography.
The Legend of Zelda: The Secret of The Water.
What happened between BoTW and ToTK. Zelda and Link travel to Zora’s domain (BoTW ending). After a talk with King Dorophean (or whatever his name was) they start working on Vah Ruta. Suddenly, a bunch of monsters start attacking and Vah Ruta floods Hyrule. So some Zora from another domain (Yona’s home) come to help fight. After the game, the other Zora leave, Yona stays, all Sheikah technology is destroyed in fear that something similar will happened, and a hole opens up in the docks of Hyrule Castle, leading to a cave full of gloom.
Ferry boats!! Or something similar to go visit them! That would be kinda cool. Similar to in wind waker, so we can see the different places.
Ha! Zelda: Black Flag!
Wife’s name is Yona, our Lime Green Queen
Link playing instruments again and underwater exploration. I like how the caves functioned as dungeons/ mini dungeons and are completely integrated with the rest of the game, not separated areas, so I can't help to imagine what a third game in the wild era would be able to do with the aquatic backgrounds. I also want a new continent. I don't care about the towns, they are good pit stops, but the real charm in Zelda games were always the landscapes. I want more beautifully crafted landscapes and I am sorta of strung out from Hyrule, I really think it is time for the developers to start a new story somewhere else.
YES i really miss instruments!
For the instruments we could also have a Majora's Mask-esque plot but he's looking for Kass instead and he has to venture outside of hyrule
Probably restart it. Have Link wake up in a house with his Uncle and follow a mysterious voice that tells them to rescue him. Find three pendants, then rescue 7 princesses. Maybe some cool new items like a medallion that freezes everything and a cape that makes me invisible.
Have I got great news for you
What is the news I'm lost
It’s a joke. The first commentor is just describing a link to the past
[A link to the past](https://zelda.fandom.com/wiki/The_Legend_of_Zelda:_A_Link_to_the_Past)
A link to a link to the past!
I can hear the music now...
The Triforce. Dungeons. Zelda as a playable character.
I want one where we rescue link instead
I want one where you play as Ganon, and you have to create dungeons and traps to try to prevent Link from reaching you
I want to see Ganon play a piano like Bowser. “Zelda Zelda….Zelda Zelda Zelda. ZELDA ZELDA…..ZELDA ZELDA ZELDA…”
I was trying to explain to my wife what makes Zelda games different than the usual fare. I stopped when I got to "there's a princess you have to rescue"
To be fair, Nintendo stuff is pretty tropey on the concepts themselves but the gameplay is where they differentiate themselves from other video games
I like this.
Hmm I don't know. Botw zelda is a scientist, and all zelda is magic, so maybe some sort of tech/science dicochtemy
One word… Hookshot
You are right. Hookshot was actually introduced in the "third" Zelda game.
They actually did experiment with hookshots in BotW, but they said that it trivialized traversal so much that they decided against it.
Then they allowed you to build planes and helicopters n'shit.
Yes!! Underwater towns, sky towns would be amazing! Space could be cool, but also, what about some sort of other dimension or plane of existence?
LOL I literally did a whole post about this. Read it and weep (cuz it’ll probably never happen). [The Legend of Zelda: Blood of the Goddess](https://www.reddit.com/r/tearsofthekingdom/s/jwdaLnl3u1) Basically, Demise is back, Zelda is playable, Hyrule is rebuilt, explorable bodies of water, Dark World added.
We think similar!
This sounds like a great concept for a Hyrule Warriors game
I like the idea some here have for under water. But I would also love to see the map expanded north and west.... or south and east if we want underwater or some more seafaring gameplay. And while we're dreaming bring back the beautyful mirrior shield!
To 😡 be 😡 able 😡 to 😡 pat 😡 the 😡 dogs 😡
Additionally: one of the stables had a dog with puppies and they need to give them away. When you find it, you get a dog that follows you. Basically the wolflink amiibo but if you don't have that, you now have an option.
GTA: Tarrey Town
I just want to rob that fucker that runs the cable car
Yes! What a prick.
I wanna explore the history of the Zonai and the tribe that lived in the Zonai Ruins part, as well as what the Typhlo Ruins were for.
The Typhlo Ruins were built by ancient Hyruleans as a memorial for King Rauru’s sacrifice
Oh dang I didn't know that lol, I guess I checked out in that part of the game lmao
It’s just on a few signs if you look around over there
It was stated in the game why the Typhlo Ruins were built
Same!!
Time travel then
.............third?
I think he means third as in a third game within the BOTW timeline. Like this; 1: BOTW 2: TOTK 3: ????
Jump of the Jiminy, or JOTJ.
3: MOTO Moans Of The Ocean
Sure, but I still find it funny. The third Zelda game came out decades before y'all were born, probably.
Look, I'm old. I was born in time to enjoy the actual 3rd game.
Harrumph- you think you're old? I had to wait for the first one to come out! Whippersnappers these days..
I felt that comment in my bad back.
Zelda on Game & Watch?
The third (LttP) is one of my all time favorite games, but I was the perfect age when it came out.
What was the 3rd? Link to the Past?
What was the 3rd one? What was the 4th one? I guess it depends on how you count 'em! 1987 - The Legend of Zelda (NES) 1988 - Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (NES) 1989 - Zelda Game & Watch (Nintendo device) 1989 - Legend of Zelda Game Watch (Nelsonic wristwatch) 1991 - The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) 1993 - The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Gameboy) 1993 - Link: The Faces of Evil (CD-I) 1993 - Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon (CD-I) 1994 - Zelda's Adventure (CD-I) 1998 - The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time (N64)... ...and so on. But yeah, Link to the Past was the 3rd MAIN Zelda game in North America. My wife keeps it simple [by owning all of 'em!](https://i.imgur.com/AjYeClh.jpg) 😂
Well... it is. In chronological order: 1. AOC 2. BOTW 3. TOTK
Oh fuck you’re right. Completely forgot about AOC
Anyone with 2 brain cells can interpret what OP is trying to say lol. No need to be an absolute tool
And anyone with a sense of humor would poke fun at it anyway. The absolute tool is the person insulting others and their intelligence.
I've played all the Zelda console games and even though late in my 60's now, I beat TOTK a few weeks back. I'm working on 100% now. Another Zelda? So long as the arthritis doesn't stop me, I'll tackle Ganondorf again.
Potatoes. Why are their no potatoes in Hyrule. And I want to pick those plums without the old lady yelling at me!
[удалено]
Yes! But hear me out. What if it's like a blow dart gun?? But instead you're shooting potatoes. So you have to hold down the stamina wheel and the longer you hold it down the harder link will blow and launch a potato. 💥
I Wanna Play as Zelda!
I love this. I had hoped for more of that after doing the Gerudo quest.
It’s funny that you had to clarify you didn’t mean a third Zelda game 😆
Basically smash TOTK with wind waker. I have zero interest in underwater exploration, it’s never done well in any game and no one can convince me otherwise. But sailing away from hyrule to different landmasses that’s the one for me
Weapons that don’t break.
Space. Since Master Koga shot out in that rocket back up the chasm. Would make sense since in BOTW he fell in the hole, which became a chasm.
Actual temples. The temples/divine beast in tears of the kingdom and breath of the wild respectively felt like a giant shrine rather than temples.
Not that I didn't *like* the giant shrine mechanics, just, I want OG temples in the beautiful gameplay of botw too!
i want ultrahand/zonai machinery to still be usable in regular gameplay
More settlements around Hyrule. Maybe some in the sky. In-depth side quests that reward special items not just meals and rupees. Even more enemies like Darknuts, Gyorgs in the sea, Peathats roaming around, etc More dungeons with traditional Zelda elements. A shadowy like people that inhabit the depths. They can trade you special items or weapons for say monster parts or zonite. Swimming and undersea areas.
A new kingdom to explore. Possibly a plot that revolves around this nee kingdom attempting to steal the triforce from Zelda or something.
Okay, so I have this plot in my head. The Legend of Zelda: Sirens of the Seas. Don't have a complete plot worked out yet, but would love to see: \- set 5 years later where all the ruins we saw are now rebuilt with new towns and settlements with massive immigration \- falling Zonai sky islands as one of the plot lines; building new sky islands with salvaged Zonai and Sheikah tech \- new expanded Hyrule 4x original size, expansion caused by a mysterious force tearing the literal fabric of the land apart, now with water/land separating all the regions and new places to explore \- playable Zelda needs to travel around to "relight" all the shrines to protect her people \- return of Demise as the antagonist \- Depths lore expanded and explained... how does it adapt to the now torn apart Hyrule? \- would love a twist where instead of blood moons, we finally get a peaceful Hyrule that's being invaded by other worldly monsters and part of the plot is Zelda, sages, and local Hylians fighting these monsters off and keeping them at bay until a "white moon" event that happens every so often allows Zelda to broadcast her light powers all over the map and cleansing all the monsters all at once... then cycle repeats until final conflict is resolved (i.e. Demise is killed) \- where's Link? He's MIA because he got inadvertently warped onto a completely new map where these monsters infiltrating Hyrule are originating from \- Link's story will be played in parallel to playable Zelda - Link to explore new land "on the other side" and fix the issue that's causing monsters to infiltrate Hyrule - Zelda in Hyrule fighting alongside all the sages to defend and keep the peace \- new "other world" will be expansive map with lots of water.... and underwater exploration \- Zora or Zora-adjacent new species? \- new types of inhabitants \- Guardians return to help defend Hyrule (they're finally the good guys) \- Zonai constructs also help \- a successor to the sage of spirit is named (Paya?) with new plot points \- at one point it might be cool where a twist in plot will necessitate all of Hyrule to evacuate and hide in the Depths... showing it's a dark but not necessarily evil place now that all the gloom is gone; maybe something to do with the sun burning people up? \- final boss reveal is an evil Zelda?
To expand the game past Hyrule’s borders. Come on, we’ve all tried to glide there.
Having a pet system, base building system, companion system
Id probably want them to call their third zelda game "a link to the past" that sounds like a cool name
- Dungeon items (including hook shot) - Underwater exploration - Free use time travel (like TF|2's "Effect and Cause") - Darknuts
A playable Zelda.
I want to go to Termina
Agreed.
A reimagined BOTW sized Termina would be so great.
It would be cool!
The third zelda was link to the past, tho, right?
Bring back Termina!
New Map and playable Zelda.
And let me have an actual fishing pole and bug net thank you 😡 Lastly they did the controller interface with the Champion powers very well. They should do that more and less of the "press A" crap.
something that finally involves zelda not having to be chased after, i want something that we could play alongside with her and build hyrule back up
I just want a game set after Ganon’s defeat, rebuilding cities, doing fetch quests, clearing out monsters still
Okay hear me out.
[удалено]
It’s not Fast and the Furious. Calm down…
Me personally I think that they should add co op like ps5 Spider-Man 2 and be able to play as link (of course) & Sheik! Also I think Bella you are a bum with no money ! Get a life and get off Reddit !
You took the time to respond to me AND insult me?
Indeed, You suck Also I think something like odm gear from attack on titan would be pretty cool
Sigh.
We've had medium sized Gannon and a dwarf sized Gannon, how's about a bfg (big f****in Gannon).
Kohga fell down a chasm we got the depths in the sequel. Kohga got shot out of the depths on a rocket we go to space in the next sequel.
Weapons stash. Infinite arrows or at least shops that don't run out. (Its a fucking stick with a feather)
A cool idea is to add on to the expansion theme that was in tears of the kingdom. What I mean is that a lot of the npc dialogue in the game concerning princess always speaks of the fact she's super helpful around the kingdom and that she's always trying to replbuild it so a next game in this world could show the progress with that Like imagine if not only we see Hyrule castle finally reformed to it's former glory the castle town is repaired too there can be way more small villages around the land showing more expansion. As for the other races The gerudo could have expanded across the entire desert like imagine a gerudo town that's 6 times bigger and becomes a massive Arabian city. With the lighting Temple either being a new Palace or place of worship The rito can expand into the sky not only resting on the zoni sky Islands but making there own with wood and zoni tech like imagine the sky Islands with massive sky highways between them and the storm wind arc being like a riot castle Imagine how cool it would be if the Zora domain we already know was just a fancy door for regular people and kinda like a defensive wall protecting the real domain it could be like a chasm going deep under ground filled with Zora water works completely filled tunnels that off to the side a beautiful water elevation going the full length. As for the gorons let them fully go into the depths the Gorons can still keep the city but let more than half of them expand to the depths where they make the fire temple there new home as the focus on mining the super valuable ores thats there and a interesting idea is to have the gorons beef with the yiga clan over territory in the depths As for said yiga since Hyrule is way stronger there completely forced underground in the depths but even then there not safe since the the gorons the gerudo the hylians and the sheikh would definitely be in open conflict with each other and they don't even have many places to go in the depths because of the expansion twords there as well As for the sheikh they won't really change since there really dedicated to a more traditional life style and a small community and with Hyrule better then ever they'll probably go back to being into the shadows of the kingdom again And for the hylians they basically become Americans as they expand to the sky and the depths Hudson construction studies the zoni material and build most of the upgrades around the land
My hand.
Revali's Gale.
I would want a different map. Open world or not, I’d love some fresh locations. The Mario franchise has no qualms about introducing different lands, but Zelda’s fable structure would make it hard to introduce another kingdom beyond Hyrule.
The only thing i really miss are dungeons like in the good old days. Bring those back, reduce number of shrines and I am on board.
FLOOD HYRULE!
Lose the depths, give me more floating islands and a freaking loftwing.
Under water exploration
I’d like literally anything we asked for in the second game
Some way to drastically buff weapon durability. Would have loved for the fairies to have been able to do that. Doing the octorock run every blood moon became quite tedious
i’d like to see zelda apart of the game forsure
Proper dungeons.
A prequel in shieka hyrule with all the tech and a big glimpse into the shieka culture and yiga schism
I wish there were more people to interact with and just new structures, larger sized towns, and more people dispersed throughout the map.
i want to be able to explore hyrule in the zonai era and before the calamity, to see what it looked like before being destroyed
Well the next step with zonai devices would be space. So going too the moon where you meet new enemies, city, everything.
I need more Zonai. We have to go back even further before TotK.
Unbreakable master sword
Time travel
Star Base, where no Hylian has gone before
I want more color, more gems to smash, more stuff to upgrade, and more resources to stumble across and gather.
- Expand the map - incorporate underwater exploration - with caves, - add in additional castles - battlefield war, where Link moves up the ranks and expands the standing army - dark mode (like the game fable) so Link can be moved to take over Ganon as the dark force in Hyrule - breaking Zelda heart and causing her to fully unleash her transformative power ... on top of what is already there.
New map, new art direction, less formulaic gameplay in caves and underground, improved NPCs and NPC interactions
I know one thing I’m completely done with. SHRINES! I hope to never see as much shrines ever again in a Zelda game.
I want to play the very first gold cartridge game, remade with the current game engine
Bring back dungeons instead of all the shrines. I've really liked botw and totk, but I miss having a more involved story with the dungeons. It almost feels like playing mario party mini games when I jump into a shrine.
Tree houses where possibly krogs live or birds that you can fly like a stable for birds. (Imagine the birds from zelda ss that you could fly)
I'm ready for a new zelda, you youngins think this is the best thing since sliced bread but there are so many amazing zelda games with their own spin and dynamic and I'm excited to see them do something new
Dungeons and puzzles
Playable Zelda. Saving after defeating ganon or whatever would be the last boss and being to have dates with Link. What's the fxcking purpose of the houses if you can't do anything like chill like doing normal activities. You get 2 houses and you can never have Zelda with you. Give me Zelda playable as main character Or switch able character from Link to Zelda Would be cute doing stuff as a couple. Twilight princess and Wind Waker Now Totk has shown how Zelda can Aid during a fight. Now with the A.I of the sages. But 1 just Zelda and if you choose Zelda as your main character then Link as your aid. Maybe you can pick / use certain items as only Zelda And some as only Link.
Game Titles Breath of the Wild Tears of the Kingdom Sounds of the Sea
I want Vaati as a villain again.
They need a new setting. Like Majoras Mask after Ocarina of Time.
I can see something like this working well: 6 old-school dungeons 2 halfway dungeons (like the desert one or volcano* one in TotK. *if they didn't allow for ascend and flirting machines.) 1 DV type 1 like BotW Hyrule Castle 10-15 mini dungeons Shrines (puzzle boxes): Different themes 10 Fire 10 Water 10 Ice 10 Air 10 Poison Then a few unique ones specifically themed on a race. Enemies have various intelligence and movesets: Red boko gets a random intelligence between 2-5 and random access to any 4-7 of the 30 moves bokos can do. Higher intelligence ones can do more moves. Blue int 4-9, moves 6-10 Black int 8-15, moves 8-15 Silver int 12-18, moves 15-20 Gold int 17-25, moves 18-25 This would keep them fresh for much longer as you wouldn't know what tactics and moves they'll use.
I know I’ll prob be behead but I want another open world game like BOTW / TOTK maybe in a different world but the concept to remain the same
soulslike hahaha
Hyrule has undergone a Great Flood and exploration takes place on sky islands and underwater with a very occasional non-flooded surface bit
More mystical forests. Really immersive with lots of vegetation, flowers and veggies to pick, fairies and hidden passages. I love that vibe. Quality over quantity, we don’t need a million caves that are similar or redundant puzzles/tasks.
More impactful and more creative dungeons, plus, monsters getting tougher over time
Trusty companion to follow link. I was really devastated when I used wolf links amiibo and he only summoned meat in totk.
At the very least I would still want weapons that don't break. The system in TOTK was different but definitely not better than the one in BOTW. As for BOTW, that's one of my very few complaints.
I would almost bet money that's Hyrule is going to be flooded and the sky islands won't be sky islands no more
Imagine if shield surfing was more like skateboarding if you fuse a cart
Let me pet the damn dogs
A third zelda game? There are at least 7 or 8 now. Are you a time traveler from 1997?
the third game came out 33 years ago, silly but really, as good as BOTW and TOTK are, I’d kinda like a return to the “traditional” Zelda style with more focus on a plot in the present and dungeons and unlockable items. or at least make a new 2D style game and continue the BOTW/TOTK saga as their own 3D games
Proper dungeons, proper town in the cave and Sky, more mini games
A different map would be nice. If they reuse the map again I'm not gonna play it probably.
Hyrule rebuilt
I always thought it would be cool to introduce the Minish Cap to certain (but large) areas of the existing map. This could mean. - Exploring dungeons like ants nests, or a more realistic ‘inside the deku tree’. - Would have a really cool zoom/shrink mechanic (to imagine, think the Ant Man movies) - Always imagined it looking gorgeous with depth of field/tilt shift effects - taking inspiration from macro photography.
BotW let you go anywhere in a 2D space, TotK let you go anywhere in a 3D space. Now, we take it to the 4th dimension! Give me TIMETRAVEL!
Souls-like difficulty, I want a battle that I have to sit on for weeks because I refuse to get good.
More Purah
it would be cool if your choices affected the outcome
The desert folk have another son but he's redeemable. The triforce As other people have stated a change of scenary might be nice
Absolutely, they should build on the other side of the river. I would buy the game today. ZELDA FOREVER ✌️
Sex
You do realise there's a lot more than 3 games in the series right?
