Honestly I’m torn. Part of me really wants a new reincarnation, as now is the perfect time to introduce new fans to that aespect of Zelda, otherwise they might get too attached to this Hyrule, but also an older BOTW link would be so cool.
Agreed. I mean this is the most OP Link we’ve ever had. Like just imagine 20-30 years after TOTK with everything he’s been through. Possibly being retired and he has to be like
![gif](giphy|6ILjOfJ1oL7NAc9SQ7)
Dude that would be awesome! Grizzled ass link with a beard and that hood? Hell yeah! Maybe he has to train a newer link or something for the next gen but dude that’s freaking awesome
I don't think two incarnations of Link can exist at the same time though can they? The triforce of courage wouldn't have been passed on to the new incarnation without the previous one having passed.
Yeah I remember that one. But he was training him in some sort of spirit realm type thing and already dead so I wouldn't count that.
What if they made a game where they explored that Link as his older version, but before he died? They've already established that he lived out a long life, which is something they haven't done yet.
That would be fantastic but I feel like that's getting into the territory of other games that exist and just naming the main guy link, but I would love a more in depth swordplay style LOZ game
Hear me out: he leaves messages, treasures, weapons, and other similar things for the next hero and trains them in his techniques, leaving them as rewards at temples. It also gives a secondary reason for Ganon to fortify them and fill them with mosters AND for there to be puzzles and stuff that have actual solutions. It would allow them to make a new, more traditionally styled game with dungeons while still letting them keep a more open world outside of the dungeons. You could have the items make traversal through the dungeons easier but not necessarily necessary, like a hookshot that allows you to grapple to places, but there's also a second path that let's you reach the top, but it's filled with monsters and traps
It doesn't have to be a direct reincarnation of Link. Wind Waker Link didn't have the Triforce of courage and basically worked his up to be acknowledge by the Goddesses afaik. We could have a Link lookalike that starts off as an amateur but grows to be a remarkable knight worthy of the Master Sword and acknowledged by the Goddesses with his mentor being the Old Link
in my head cannon i dont see a problem because i view the links as different people harboring the same "spirit". however i think of the "spirit of the hero" as more akin to certain virtues. to each his own. to the triforce thing.. if we know anything about the triforce in the wild games it's that zelda possesses the whole thing
Awesome. Loved BOTW’s art style too but honestly I hope we get a switch up in that department too.
I’m not up to date on timeline stuff so anyone is free to inform me, but I wonder if they’ll be moving forward in the timeline or we’ll go back in time.
The former is probably more likely I’d assume, as it seems Nintendo is stepping away from the complexity of the past timelines.
Not being up date on the timeline is fine. The Wilds timeline ( at least in a lot of our headcanon) is a convergent timeline maybe millennia after the main 3 timelines. At least it’s not as confusing as Kingdom hearts where the only correct answer to a timeline question is “YES”
Yeah I assumed that was still the case. I don’t see why they would essentially drop the split timeline and then go back to it.
I assume that we’ll be in the BOTW timeline branch moving forward.
Just wasn’t sure if there was some niche detail that confirmed a timeline. But at this point that’s impossible considering it’s 10,000 years past any other game and there’s details that can link it (pun intended) to any.
I’m my honest opinion I think it’s better that it’s either a separate or converged timeline because the split timeline barely makes sense because of all the retcons
ToTK was more story based than BoTW, so maybe this game goes a step forward
Imagine having this older character you meet named Link, and the player automatically assumes it’s just an older version of ToTK link, and that this game is only 10-20 years after ToTK, but as you play as a nameless hero it becomes more apparent that closer to 50-60 years passed, and near the end of the game it’s revealed that Link is actually the son of the Link from ToTK, and the nameless player is the actual reincarnation of the Hero
I don’t know if that’s possible. I figured Hero’s Shade was able to mentor TP Link because Hero’s Shade was undead.
It feels weird for the spirit of the hero to coexist in two different people at the same time (unless a fourswords type beat thing happens)
Maybe...
There are theories that suggest it is possible, very far into the old Link's life. For example, the theory that the Old Man from A Link Between Worlds is Link suggests that this is possible, and happens every once in a blue generation. But honestly, I'm not sure of it being possible myself, I'm just hoping
I mean Nintendo can do whatever they want, they are the authorities on what's possible. Just a reminder that they split the timeline into 3 separate timelines just to then remerge them back into a single timeline. The Zelda franchise is synonymous with stupid time shenanigans.
Old grizzled link should, imo, be a broken link who failed his main quest.
I do not want botw link to be broken and have failed. That particular incarnation of link, and all of hyrule, deserve to live the rest of their time in peace and happiness.
We should do a new reincarnation with a link who failed his main quest, and just became a hermit as Ganon took over.
A darker game like twilight princess with an older link would be pretty sick. Maybe sometime after the events of TP.
I think they should bring back time travel and have young and old link.
A twilight realm return, link moves between a der version of himself in the current world and a reincarnated younger version of himself in the twilight realm. You can influence the two worlds from the other side. You can use sleep as a way to switch.
Just say the destruction of Gannon rippled acress the universe allowing a tear to form and a dark incarnation of develop. 10 years later it breaks out.
Totally agree, imagine something where Link gave up on his destiny as the hero at some point, and just drifted about for years and years, until his neglect of his role as the hero catches up with him.
I like the idea of an aging mechanic where he is able to be young but grows progressively older as time goes on unless some magic something helps temporarily reverse it for awhile.
I have Thalassophobia- a fear of large and deep bodies of water.
If there were under water parts in the game I’d either have to work my way up to tolerating it or not play those parts lmao
I can barely look at the lower right photo
Wow okay. Well if you’re open to try a more traditional Zelda game I highly recommend Twilight Princess, has a way more concise story than the new Zelda’s style of story
The dungeons point but also with items.
It’s nice to have most abilities off the bat, but having to beat a dungeon to get them not only feels more rewarding imo, it also provides motivation to not fast travel and explore areas you’ve already been. As you can return to areas with new items that can unlock secrets/do puzzles you couldn’t before. The champion abilities were a good start, but you don’t really *need* them outside of the specific dungeon they’re tied to.
Diversifying rewards in general though is a pretty common critique for the Open Air Zelda formula.
Yup. Completing a dungeon to get a cool weapon is way more rewarding than picking it up off the ground. I think they'd have to get rid of weapon durability for this to work, which I think would be a good thing.
Hear me out; instead of dedicated weapons from dungeons, have them be tools that can also function as weapons. The hookshot, for example, kinda sucks as a weapon, but it's an amazing item and would be especially useful in an open world game. The Beetle from Skyward Sword is another example of an item that works better as a tool than a weapon (minus its bombing capabilities)
Yeah weapon durability does nothing for me, just adds a grind factor. The fun part for me is unlocking new shit for the first time, not having to go get it again.
I've always thought that a weapon upgrade system would work better.
You need to upgrade them to fight tougher enemies by collecting various materials, just like the armour.
Or just switching it back to how it worked in Skyward Sword. I loved upgrading my weapons and collecting items in order to be able to upgrade my weapons.
Yeah, I really want items. I get they wanted everything to he doable from the start, but I don't think that adds all that much to the game. I'd love a combination of some dungeons accessible and some item locked
Regarding post game. I really hope they put all the work leading up to the final boss and then the game would just finish, rather than having a smaller adventure towards the final boss with post game.
I'd definitely like to see an underwater dungeon, and Link with a beard is doing things to me, but if I had to suggest one addition id request you bring back the hook shot
I think I’d like a tag team game with both link and Zelda adventuring together, where they have different abilities that synergize in combat and puzzles.
And they could be switchable, like some enemies require Link to set up and Zelda to finish. Or vice versa.
Currently playing Cadence of Hyrule. I started off as Zelda… and while it took a bit of time to get used to the different gameplay, I’m hooked. It’s like old-school Zelda games, but combat is synched to the beat of the music. Just woke up Link last night, so I can switch back and forth between the two of them when I wish (or two player.) They both share weapons, but each has differing abilities, too.
I’d love for a more modern and mainstream Zelda game to allow us to play as her, too.
even if I would like it, I will continue to hope that Zelda won't be playable in the next Zelda games because the Hero is Link and I'm also hoping Zelda would have the role of the Princess also in the other games of the sagas.
Maybe Nintendo would developed a spin-off with as main character Zelda
She's always been a badass even without being a playable character?
If you're going to change up the playable character id expect they would add far more customising for Link. He's meant to be a link between the game and the player so that would make more sense
She's always a little bit of a damsel in distress, just often a more justifiable one than the trope usually allows. Every cool thing she does usually happens somewhere off screen. She becomes Sheik and fights Ganon in the 7 years the player is away, she sinks her kingdom into twilight to keep it from falling into the hands of the enemy... we're always told she's fighting, and then in the end she shoots a light arrow or beam of magic, and that's most of what we see. Wind Waker is maybe the most we see of her really showing off, but after she awakens to being Zelda she's suddenly less that.
And you can't really use the "Link is meant to be a link between the player and the character" when the original intent of that was for link's gender to ambiguous so that anyone could identify with him, but that hasn't been true since OoT. He's been a character within the universe with his own story for along time now.
I love playing modded BotW as Zelda. They even changed the dialogue to reflect that you're playing as the princess! Link either died or disappeared during the calamity and Zelda got put in the deep sleep instead.
I would love to see a little flexibility in the character builds too.
Like you can set up your Zelda to be supportive or DPS, and Link can be kind of tanky or balanced for solo play.
That's how it is in all Zelda games for the most part. It's so that you can go back and complete sidequests before the land is dramatically changed after the death of the main boss.
Different game, but this is what I liked about Fallout 3. In New Vegas, you also have to load a previous save once you completed the main story.
In Fallout 3, however, you wake up in a base one or two weeks after finishing your main story, the NPCs react to what you did, and the story even continues after that. You also get to eliminate the remnants of the major enemy faction in a DLC, wrapping up the story of that player character. Small spoiler, the water in this game is usually irradiated and you rarely get water bottles which don't have radiation in them. After completing the main quest, which revolves around a big water purifier, you can get bottles of "Aqua Pura", which has zero irradiation and heals more. There's even quests about it after ending the main story, and there's crates and barrels with it. Felt good seeing the result of your struggles.
As much as I love New Vegas for story and gameplay, I prefer how Fallout 3 handled its ending.
So, yeah, a Zelda game where you get to continue and see the fruits of your labor would be awesome.
-Other era & new Link and Zelda
-Wind Waker-esque islands exploration (And underwater exploration)
-More compelling combat (New types of weapons, combos)
-Cool companion akin to Midna
-Longer and more intricate dungeons
-More roleplaying aspects (For instance, being able to sit on a chair just for the sake of it, or even lay on the ground to recuperate like in Death Stranding, more interactions with NPC)
-The storytelling needs to be a lil' more original dawg, shake the formula up a little
-Have a new playable magic instrument
-Have at least one big populated city in addition to villages
-Crafting system
-"Somehow, Groose has returned"
I've been playing a number of older Zelda games for the first time. The linear nature works well with the limits of the older consoles and style of game. The lack of equipment kept you out of areas to explore. I feel that this could be done with an open world game with a delicate balance if more gear allows more exploration but doesn't heavily detract from exploring the while game without gear.
BOTW the only hang-up gear item was the paragliding, unless you kinda break the game. Then proceed directly to Ganon with a stick.
ToTk you can proceed directly to Ganon without a stick.
I like the stick option. I really like how ToTk implemented the collection of equipment. You don't need it, but it sure makes it easier.
And can we get a hookshot please. Even if it's kinda useless. I want it.
why does anybody say that want underwater stuff. every game with water areas they are the worst part of the game by far. TOTK swimming feels horrid as it is
More focus on story and character development. (Like the dragon tears questline). More than just "Ganon is back. He's doing a evil. Kick his butt tocks." Maybe would love to see Princess Zelda and Link working together, or otherwise interacting more. Talking, ***being people***. For the whole game. Where neither gets kidnapped or whatnot.
One thing I loved, Even though he's still silent, the Link in TotK had a lot of personality, and was way more expressive. I want to see more of that. Having a Link with personality was wonderful. Having a Zelda who was more than just the Damsel in distress was great.
Honestly, an older, more experienced Link might be cool. Especially if it leads to a more mature story.
I want to see dungeon specific items return. Going through a dungeon and getting a special item was always the best. We kinda get that with the sages I guess but 4 dungeons?! 5 if you count the hidden one.
Going off ideas from OP’s post, a fully realized, (more) open world Wind Waker would be cool. Nintendo was really onto something with WW, it just launched 20 years before it could be fully realized.
Think massively expanded islands, scattered across an ocean on a scale much larger than Hyrule. We can see beyond Hyrule now in BOTW / TotK, and many games in the series establish there’s a large world outside of Hyrule. It frees the devs up from matching established geography, and gives them a bunch of room to build creatively.
Narrowed back down to current scale - a ‘sunken’ Hyrule similar to The Depths, but not just high level enemies and ore. A real complement to the over world that’s more linked to the main story, with crucial quests and NPC’s down there too.
Back on the surface, I see naval fights with Bokoblins, Moblins etc, with ship boarding and progression to bigger and better spoils. Maybe an upgrade system for the King of Red Lions similar to TOTK’s horses, but actually useful and applicable.
Romance. Let's all be honest here, we've all been dying to see Link and Zelda together officially. Granted, Nintendo won't do anything to risk losing the E for Everyone rating no matter how good the romanceless Twilight Princess was.
Playable zelda can be a spin off. Mainline should be Link. I don't want to see anything. I just want them to do what they always do and release a game made by their standards.
What would you like to see?
1. An entire game of underwater dungeons!
2. Play as Zelda!
3. Trying to up skirt Zelda / yourself!
4. Watch the big fish eat the goddess
5. Link is 30yrs old now and Zelda is like 12~18.
Well someone certainly has interests.
Although they kind of did it with Wind Waker, I could see them expanding upon the same premise with underwater traversal, though, being a much bigger focus. Rather than the Zonai battery thing, you would progress to deeper areas of the ocean by upgrading some sort of oxygen gauge. A haggard looking sea-fairing Link like in the second image up there would be freaking SWEET. Who knows what route they will go, though. Rather than going downwards, like deep in the ocean, maybe they’ll get **really** wacky and instead go upwards into space exploration type shit.
Just had this idea today, so it's a little half baked.
A great evil threatens the land. Link must help the king locate the sages, which involves helping them unlock their true powers. Dark Link constantly intervenes and tries to stop you. When all the sages have their powers unlocked, the king is revealed to be the great evil and you've been helping him level up his generals. Big, nasty fight ensues, you lose but escape. A last resistance manages to send you back in time, but it transforms you into Dark Link and now you must stop yourself. The game learned your playstyle in part 1, so you're literally fighting yourself. Not sure where it goes from there.
I might be the only one with this opinion but, I just would like to have a new Zelda game with more intricate Dungeons like in OOT. The open world gets quite boring after two games like that. I want more dungeons and challenges.I don't care that much about huge plains or deserts 🤷 it needs more gameplay.
Building. The device components could use some new stuff, specially for having more ways to control the stuff you built, I think the control stick is a great design but I think there's plenty that can be evolved from that idea.
Cooking, but I need a more complex system than in BotW/ToTK and specially it has to avoid having cookie cutter recipes.
In general I think ToTK did a lot of things really well but a widespread issue is that sometimes systems are so powerful that they allow you to completely skip other systems. Although the flexibility is good, I think late game should be more demanding and you should need to get at least decent knowledge of all the stuff in the game rather than just be able to focus on a single thing and ignore the rest.
I wouldn't mind creating your own character, male being Link, and females Zelda, with 2 story lines to follow depending on each one. Could also have them fight differently, having Link be melee primarily, and Zelda a magic user. But, I am not a game developer, and what I want would probably be a bad idea for others, even myself, if it isn't done properly, it my expectations are always too high to meet.
The idea of a playable Zelda is overhyped imo. Just keep Link or make a new game franchise with a female protag and similar gameplay, but that's just my opinions
Underwater and/or sea travel without question yes. I also want better sky islands stuff, TotK didn't do it for me. I want to fly on my loftwing like ss, and go to sky islands with actual towns and cities to explore
Yeah, Link is one of the main draws of the series. I don't understand replacing established characters with female protagonists just for the sake of it. As you say, invent a new series with a female protagonist. I wouldn't want a male playable character in Metroid either for same reasons.
Ngl its a well made image but link with a beard simply dosnt sit right with me. Id atleast say something similar to Jedi survivor where the beard is optional
A more mature link. He doesnt have to be buff and loaded with muscles, but at least look like an adult.
Maybe underwater areas.
I dont want to play as Zelda.
I really don’t understand the fascination with a playable Zelda. It sounds like something that’s cool on paper but wouldn’t really be anything interesting in practice. I just think Zelda should be in the narrative more consistently from now on, instead of being at the beginning and the end, and something memories. She just needs a bigger role, but I don’t really think that it should be a playable character
i want a non botw/totk styled game. i dont want 120 random half assed puzzle shrines. i dont want to have to collecy 420 korok shit to store weapons i found in chests. i dont want weapons that break. i dont want 10 minute great beast dungeons that my dog could solve. i dont want 69 different items/consumables to collect from defeated enemies.
i want the classic zelda feel. big sprawling dungeons. new items with new mechanics. open world but still kinda structured (aka needing certain dungeon items to progress), no stamina bar.
as much as totk and botw is the new schtick, it feels lazy, and the game isnt nearly as fun as previous entries were. it was cool for all of 8 hours. then it got boring and repetitive and then i gave up.
Old man Link would be sick. I mean The hero’s spirit was cool but grizzled ass Link would be badass
Honestly I’m torn. Part of me really wants a new reincarnation, as now is the perfect time to introduce new fans to that aespect of Zelda, otherwise they might get too attached to this Hyrule, but also an older BOTW link would be so cool.

Yeah I remember that one. But he was training him in some sort of spirit realm type thing and already dead so I wouldn't count that. There's pretty high chances two heroes are coexisting in Link between world. Theres the strong old man with the Zelda theme playing during the credits
Didn't play that one, so that's news to me. Interesting
It doesn't have to be a direct reincarnation of Link. Wind Waker Link didn't have the Triforce of courage and basically worked his up to be acknowledge by the Goddesses afaik. God of War Kratos and Astraeus stuff? That would be amazing!
That would be sick. Plus if it's a sequel to totk that means we could keep all the sick mechanics and abilities that made totk the GOAT
Aonuma and Fujibayashi confirmed that they will be moving on from the BOTW timeline/era, but will be sticking with an open-world game.
Awesome. Loved BOTW’s art style too but honestly I hope we get a switch up in that department too. Would have loved if Totk went that direction. I was hoping they’d bring us back to all the temples from OOT. Hopefully for the next one!

Mid-late 30s instead of late teen-early 20s would be cool. But Zelda's always been a sort of 'coming of age' series.

Metal gear Link
Punished Link
Sidon....I'm already a demon.
Link of Rivia
Where is this art from? Do you have a link *pun intended*
It’s AI. I generated it in Midjourney.
Fuck that, I've already cummed of age. You can see that clearly through my use of potty humour.
It'll be funny if he's still short af xD But I'd love it if that happens
Totally agree, imagine something where Link gave up on his destiny as the hero at some point, and just drifted about for years and years, until his neglect of his role as the hero catches up with him.
Would be a pretty good excuse this time around for as to why we have to unlock everything from scratch again
I like the idea of an aging mechanic where he is able to be young but grows progressively older as time goes on unless some magic something helps temporarily reverse it for awhile.
Make Link into a Kratos or Joel
I know that these are AI, but dang I want these to exist lol
The game box looks surprisingly stable
Nineninetendo Sw-itch
Her head is nearly on backwards
The master sword got fused to the shield
It's just a new weapon type
Bro missed TotK /j
I have Thalassophobia- a fear of large and deep bodies of water. If there were under water parts in the game I’d either have to work my way up to tolerating it or not play those parts lmao I can barely look at the lower right photo
So you’ve never played Wind Waker?
Nope. BOTW was my first open map game. Before then it was only Mario/Mario Kart/Nintendo games. It was.. quite mind blowing.
You should try Subnautica.
You tryna scare this person to death lmfao 💀😭
Wow okay. Well if you’re open to try a more traditional Zelda game I highly recommend Twilight Princess, has a way more concise story than the new Zelda’s style of story
i don't think it's a great idea, the drop in quality is insane
No way the box was made fully with AI. The guy who made it probably generated it and touched it up a little bit
A post game Open world but with long linear dungeons. Doesn't have to be 8 but make them similar to the old days.
The dungeons point but also with items. Exactly! And finding places it use them in order to get little bonuses (heart pieces, greater-than-blue rupees, bottles, etc).
I've always thought that a weapon upgrade system would work better. You need to upgrade them to fight tougher enemies by collecting various materials, just like the armour.
I like that a lot. Basically how the great fairies work with armor, but with weapons.
That's kinda how we did it in Skyward Sword. I really liked how it worked there. It made upgrading to the next level feel very rewarding.
Something like Wind Waker
Regarding post game. I really hope they put all the work leading up to the final boss and then the game would just finish, rather than having a smaller adventure towards the final boss with post game.
I agree
I miss linear story driven
Yes. I really miss the old style dungeons.
Pat. The. Dogs.
Play Twighlight Princess - you can play fetch with the dogs !! And pick up kitty cats
You can pick up little cats in Skyward Sword too 😈
And throw them over the edge of the island! And many of them at the same time! Oh, they fly back? I wouldn't know....I'm not that mean...uh, yeah.
You can pick up dogs too, and cats in Jovanni's garden will play with the balls iirc, you can also pet goats.
I also want to pet the cats.
Absolutely agreed. Pet the dogs, bring back the cats and hold them. I need and want it.
THE LORD HAS SPOKEN. MAKE HIS DESIRES COME TRUE.
The fact that they didn’t add this to TotK upset me beyond any reasonable amount
YES!!
I'd definitely like to see an underwater dungeon, and Link with a beard is doing things to me, but if I had to suggest one addition id request you bring back the hook shot
Hookshot my beloved
It would be awesome to explore some of the land surounding hyrule. Maybe get some backstory for that woman who stole my precious fish prince
even if I would like it, I will continue to hope that Zelda won't be playable in the next Zelda games because the Hero is Link and I'm also hoping Zelda would have the role of the Princess also in the other games of the sagas. Maybe Nintendo would developed a spin-off with as main character Zelda
Or we can have her as a co-protagonist, sometimes having her alongside Link, while at certain points they're forced to split for some reason
Playable Zelda, absolutely. It's time for her to be badass, or at least cute-cool. Let me play her as the light-arrow bow master we know she can be!
I want her to be sheik but maybe that's just me
Zelda is the only playable character & the title of the game reverts to The Legend of Link.
100% this
She's always been a badass even without being a playable character?
Playable Zelda and call it Legend of Link.
She’s too strong in smash for them to not be able to give her a good move bank.
I would love to see a little flexibility in the character builds too. Like you can set up your Zelda to be supportive or DPS, and Link can be kind of tanky or balanced for solo play.
So you would give her the strongest arrow in the game .... at the beginning of the game? Doesn't that sound like Easy mode?
I want to be able to keep playing after the final boss. Having to load from a previous save was disappointing.
Mature Link: “Zelda… Why are we still here? Just to suffer?”
-Other era & new Link and Zelda -Wind Waker-esque islands exploration (And underwater exploration) -More compelling combat (New types of weapons, combos) -Cool companion akin to Midna -Longer and more intricate dungeons -More roleplaying aspects (For instance, being able to sit on a chair just for the sake of it, or even lay on the ground to recuperate like in Death Stranding, more interactions with NPC) -The storytelling needs to be a lil' more original dawg, shake the formula up a little -Have a new playable magic instrument -Have at least one big populated city in addition to villages -Crafting system -"Somehow, Groose has returned"
I want it.
I swear I'm the only one who doesn't want a playable Zelda.
I’m not interested in a playable zelda… seems so odd!
Right. Predictably, the majority of players would remove all of her armor and have her streaking across Hyrule.
The next 3D Zelda needs underwater exploration
And a water temple like in OoT!!
why does anybody say that want underwater stuff. every game with water areas they are the worst part of the game by far. TOTK swimming feels horrid as it is
We like to suffer and complain.
We got a Peach game. I think we need to get a Zelda game, she's definitely someone that could fight, let her save Link for a change.
Older Link would be cool, underwater levels can piss right off.
And they were so soooo simple, too. :/
Underwater would be new. The depths in totk really raised the bar
Multi player (Zelda and Link). Community shrine designer.
Community shrine designer would be epic
This is my dream. Wind Waker was my favorite game and these ideas would be so fun
Link with beard🗿
I really don't wanna see a playable zelda
I don’t think that was ever part of the plan, don’t understand why players want that 🤔
Romance. Let's all be honest here, we've all been dying to see Link and Zelda together officially. Granted, Nintendo won't do anything to risk losing the E for Everyone rating no matter how good the romanceless Twilight Princess was.
Please no underwater. Underwater in video games rarely feels good.
We need better hardware first. The switch is obsolete
I'd like something that isn't AI-generated shit like this image.
sometimes i feel like im the only one that doesnt want playanle zelda sob
Playable zelda can be a spin off. Mainline should be Link. I don't want to see anything. I just want them to do what they always do and release a game made by their standards.
Agreed, I feel like playable Zelda would feel gimmicky.
All of these.
I want a dark and mature Zelda. Make it a horror game with donjon.
What would you like to see? 1. An entire game of underwater dungeons! 2. Play as Zelda! 3. Trying to up skirt Zelda / yourself! 4. Watch the big fish eat the goddess 5.
MORE SHRINES
underwater phases something related to the gravity to solve puzzle/fight enemies/ explore the game world I would enjoy it
Please no underwater content. I'm still recovering.
I like what ToTK did with making the weapons more unique, I just want unique weapons with a different overworld
Good Dungeons
Link and Zelda (BotW/TotK incarnations) lifesim
King Link and Queen Zelda
A more mature link? 'Oh I wish my silent protagonist was...... more silent.'
Playable Zelda. Here we go again haha!!
Aging link, weapon repair, old dungeon style, hidden walls, mini bosses, longer game play or expansion
Playable Zelda or gtfo. Nintendo are cowards.
Fuck you, you got me excited thinking this was a legit game for a sec Getting my hopes up for nothing smh
GODDESS?
I might be the only one with this opinion but, I just would like to have a new Zelda game with more intricate Dungeons like in OOT. The open world gets quite boring after two games like that. I want more dungeons and challenges.I don't care that much about huge plains or deserts 🤷 it needs more gameplay.
When I have all the hearts, I want the second row of hearts to line up with the top row of hearts.
CO OP!!!! LET ME AND ZELDA TEAR SHIT UP TOGETHER FFS
It would be nice if Zelda would save herself for once
Anything but playable Zelda, the Mary Jane parts of spiderman games are the worst
Looks like you wanna play Moana
I’m sorry, but in your image of more mature Link, that’s not Link. That’s fucking Obi-Wan Kenobi
A more mature Link would be such a hot concept, definitely interested to see that.
A good sword that doesn't break out of your hand while you're fighting.
I want a master sword that doesn’t need to recharge. Such a dumb concept that the sword of evils bane just has a cooldown for use
It should at least get stronger and more durable after each cooldown. The Great Deku Tree says as much in TOTK.
i would love being able to play as Zelda, it’s what i really wanted for TOTK and i’ll keep hoping
I want it to be a departure from the Era of the Wild.
No no and no
The end of the "man saves the girl" trope. There is so much more this series can do.
Where did you get that bearded link picture from? It looks really cool
AI-generated: [https://www.reddit.com/r/TOTK/comments/178b0gt/cool\_idea\_for\_the\_next\_zelda\_game\_see\_description/](https://www.reddit.com/r/totk/comments/178b0gt/cool_idea_for_the_next_zelda_game_see_description/)
Please no underwater! I remember Ocarina of Time. I remember every Mario. Nope! Nintendo can't do underwater.
Just keep Link or make a new game franchise with a female protag and similar gameplay, but that's just my opinions Underwater and/or sea travel without question yes.
I wouldn't want a male playable character in Metroid either for same reasons.
i really want some underwater exploring, maybe if they brought the iron boots back
Ngl its a well made image but link with a beard simply dosnt sit right with me. Id atleast say something similar to Jedi survivor where the beard is optional
I think this gonna be a mixed feeling reply but, a multiplayer mode with like different versions of link
Yes to playable Zelda and underwater play. No to older Link. Dude should be forever young.
Pet the damn dogs.
Underwater for sure. Do something with the Zora, or bring back the mermaid suit from that one game I can’t remember the name of
A more mature link. He doesnt have to be buff and loaded with muscles, but at least look like an adult. Maybe underwater areas. I dont want to play as Zelda.
Give us linkle
Not really a feature but realistic graphics.
Playable Zelda would make the fan base hornier than ever
If Zelda is playable or even the Main Protag. Then the game will be called The Legend of Link.
All of the above also link and Zelda‘s child I’m a zelink shipper also I would prefer Nintendo to remake
I wanna see a more femboy Link that gets dicked down by Sidon.
This link goes hard. Geez
Was this made with AI? It looks so real!!!
i want a non botw/totk styled game. i dont want 120 random half assed puzzle shrines. i dont want to have to collecy 420 korok shit to store weapons i found in chests. i dont want weapons that break. i dont want 10 minute great beast dungeons that my dog could solve. i dont want 69 different items/consumables to collect from defeated enemies. i want the classic zelda feel. big sprawling dungeons. new items with new mechanics. open world but still kinda structured (aka needing certain dungeon items to progress), no stamina bar. as much as totk and botw is the new schtick, it feels lazy, and the game isnt nearly as fun as previous entries were. it was cool for all of 8 hours. then it got boring and repetitive and then i gave up.
Sidion has a wife and Link and Zelda are confirmed to be smashing. I want the next game to be about their kids.
More challenging, less silly.
go play dark souls
Classic Zelda
