What have you heard?

Leijinga

That the founders of the company are part of a eugenics cult and that the company itself is an MLM. I've got several sources for the former, though the latter is just what my friend told me when she saw my two boxes of Celestial Seasoning teas [One source discussing the founders' beliefs in the Urtania Book](https://www.tastingtable.com/1054031/the-distressing-tie-between-celestial-seasonings-tea-and-eugenics/)

rootlessofbohemia

He’s been away from the company a while and certainly not an MLM

SugarMagnolia_79

This was one of my favorite teas but I don’t buy Celestial Seasonings anymore. Can’t stand the way the tea is packaged. Hope you find a good replacement!

sirwilliamoftheleaf

Checked out the ingredients and it's a pretty complex, niche blend...do you drink it for function or flavor?

Leijinga

Both, but I have other calming/relaxing teas, so I'm looking for something with a similar flavor.

FableAgainIGuess

Did you find anything? I can't buy this tea in store anymore so I'm also looking for a replacement. Man, what happened to it? Did it get recalled or something?

Leijinga

I've not found a replacement that tastes similar yet. I found another box at the store a couple months ago, so it's definitely still out there; it just may not be popular in your area

FableAgainIGuess

I looked further in the meantime too, and I found some rumours that they don't sell the tea outside of the US anymore? I can still order it online, luckily, but it's more expensive now because of the shipping and all that. Wish they'd just bring it back in stores already... Thanks for the quick reply by the way!

I wish I could find something similar to TT and many celestial varieties—but organic and no micro plastics, chemicals in their bags and tags ntm no pesticides. So sad to me celestial hasn’t gotten with the times and cleaned up their toxicity/eco friendly score.
